Tip: best counter for a Purlovia: a Yutarannus. Their roar makes them unbury themselves, and I don’t think they can knock you off of your Yuty if you’re riding it
@@sniffley7058I haven’t tested this out with other creatures, but if you want to, here’s a how I’d go about it: You can’t get a Yuty in Aberration, so you’re going to have to get creative. If you want to go through the pain of it, you can tame an X-Yuty in Genesis Part 1 (Or just force tame if you want to make it easy on yourself), since Basilisks and Reapers are there as well, allowing you to test both relatively quickly
@@sniffley7058 that would be funny if a Yuty could make big boys like that scared. since they don’t affect Wyverns in a way that causes them to flee, i don’t think it would cause them to unbury… lmk if u test it though
Packs of wild ravagers and basilisks are definitely in the top 3 for me, the ravagers can slow you down and you can’t really get away since you can’t use flyers on aberration and basilisks can literally one shot you if you aren’t prepared for them
With troodons you can stop them from attacking you at night by holding a torch. And with piranhas am sure you just have to walk through a puddle and you get swarmed by them. No matter where you go they pop out of nowhere
Raptors are a pain too, they'll knock you off your mount and pin you, in packs they're lethal, every bob gets killed by them for sure. Basilisks are up there too and ravagers are harder than wolves. Just entire aberration will kill you dead if you don't pay attention lol
OH MY FUCKING GOD DONT EVEN GET ME STARTED ON Piranha no joke I took my lvl 20 stacked mutation shadowmane into a cave on the island the other day whistled aggressive but it didn’t listen and died in under 1 minute…..there way too op
I really don't like the piranhas and microraptors specifically, they are extremely deadly. If you even want to alpha hunt and it happens to be in the redwoods, be prepared for every microraptor in the vicinity to chain stun you until you're dead

I’ve never seen a Megolosaurus spawn in Viking Bay? Can anyone confirm they do?. I’ve seen tons of Rexes and Theri’s, even Gigas, but no Megolosaurus...
I can, unfortunately, confirm that they do spawn in Viking Bay. I always seem to get them around my starter bases even though they’re a ‘very rare’ spawn. :/

I like my peladron for pond/ river clearing. Just jet ski over and eat all them.
Supposedly when riding the Steggosaurus you can't be dismounted. However, I found out the hard way that a Thyla CAN knock you off and pin you

If you’re swimming in a river without a mount you’re kind of helpless and slow, atleast with titanoboas they’re usually alone and are easier to hit

There's almost always a megalosaurus on the western side of Viking Bay just up the grassy hill by the beach
I spawned right next to one, I knocked it out with a slingshot since it’s slow during the day but it turned night before it could tame
