I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE short tutorials! This is GREAT! Most crafters don't have time to sit and watch an hour long video. I won't even bother with the ones that are more than 20 minutes! THANK YOU!!!!
I've watched this video & found it useful. I have a question, so I scrolled through the comments to see if it was there ... I'm a comments fanatic. I wasn't going to ask the question BUT I had to leave you a comment because (based on this video) I APPRECIATE YOU AS A RUclipsR! As I scrolled, I couldn't find a comment you didn't respond to & that's awesome! that's dedication! that's excellent customer service even though we aren't your customers. I pray now blessings over the manifestation of ALL your gifts, business endeavors, & may everything your hands touch prosper!
I love this tutorial. I watch crafting videos before going to sleep because I find them relaxing and fun. I am not a crafter yet although I say I am going to try all the projects.
Thank You for your video - I also definitely love the tip about putting the glitter in the tupperware - I was using glitter tonight and making a mess trying to get it back in the container! Thank You - you are awesome!
😱 OMG! I just stumbled on your channel and absolutely LOVE your work. I will be gifting handmade items this year such as tumblers, dominoes and mugs. Girl, this is an awesome technique to use on some of my mugs. I don't make many mugs because I don't have an eye for great designs like I do with tumblers. Well, I just subscribed and will go later to watch all of your videos. Thanks😁🙏🏾🙌🏾💯
Living Life Brittany's Way you’re welcome and I’ll let you know. I just ordered some outdoor vinyl from Amazon (the Oracal brand) in black and white. So I’m excited. Your tut has been the best so far. Thanks again for sharing.
How do you get your vinyl to be really smooth and sort of melt into the mug? I just tried it but mine just look like stickers on a mug vs a nice smooth finish. Also, what's the market method?
I loved this video, very precise and to the point. I tend to lose focus when watching certain people because they explain too much or not enough and this was great! I do have questions, how do you get the vinyl to stay for awhile? Is it recommended to go over the vinyl lettering with the gloss finish too? I bought a mug from a girl on Etsy, the decal she used doesn't have any raised edges, how do you get a decal on a cup and not feel it? Sorry for all of the questions but I really think you're the go-to person to answer these. Thank you for such a great video!
I know this video is old- but I tried my hand at glittering a mug and it was a fail! Lol after finding your video I see what I did wrong and will try again! Thank you!
Is it water resistant?? " will the glitter come off when washing the cup? Or do I need to spray something transparent on top of the glitter to coat it?
Beautiful work and very clear instructions. Thank you. Please let met know if you are using outdoor, iron on or just regular vinyl. Thanks again and I am looking forward to more DIYs.
So I followed your instructions and I made a few mugs for valentines gifts. No traditional sentiments, but they are fun and I enjoyed making them. Of course I am itching from glitter fall out.
I used the sealant shown in the video. The glitter is not as shiny after drying, but it works very well. I have been using my mug at work for a while now and it washes well and maintains the beauty quite well.
Mariah Hehn I have, actually! You have to let the layers dry completely before adding the next. Whenever I rushed to apply it before letting it dry completely, it would crack up on me 😩
Hi! Love this idea looks super easy but do u have a link to a video on how you applied script and where you purchased of stickers etc? Thanks for your time.
Do you use triple thick or anything to seal on the vinyl?? Or do you only use it for the glitter? I am worried about the vinyl cup going in the dishwasher, or even getting wet without a sealant.
Could you just use mod podge to seal the glitter for the last two steps instead of the triple sealant? Or will it not be dishwasher safe? Thanks in advance and great video
Been searching and thanks 😊 found it. Can you pls help me list of materials I need and if there's alternative. We're here in Dubai. praying you will reply thanks. God bless
Hi love, I love the tutorial. On the end you showed several you made and seen one that you put metallic vinyl on the top part? I love it. Am I still able to drink out of it... is it safe?
+Dequina Williams I love the way that it seals, but I don't love how it dulls the glitter a bit so I'm testing out alternatives to see what works for me. I'll be sure to keep you all updated if anything changes 💕
Thank you so much for this tutorial, I plan on using it to make a gift for my teacher. But I don't have dishwash modge podge, is it ok if I use regular modge podge?
Hi I've been crafting for many year, the issue I have with the video is the loud music, but regular Mod Podge won't hold in water, she has to use Dish washer safe mod podge. Regular Mod Podge is only good if you're making the cup as a decoration only, not a drinking cup, nice mug though.

Thank you so much Liz! I really appreciate your kind words!!
Liz Bailey you stink
These are super cute! I thought it was going to be super complicated. Nope! So cute.
i neeever thought of putting my glitter im Tupperware!! new subscriber for that alone! lol
The other tutorials I watched they work over paper then pour excess glitter back in container so your way is pretty nifty!
I love this tutorial. I watch crafting videos before going to sleep because I find them relaxing and fun. I am not a crafter yet although I say I am going to try all the projects.
Wow your tutorial was very calming and simple I love it
Love this! I love the tip about the glitter in a container 👍🏼
+Erica Sandoval thanks for watching! 💕
Best & most simple tutorial. Now i know what my Michael's gift card is going towards 😄
Just wondering if you seal your vinyl?
Thank you so much for the tutorial! I finally have a silhouette and have been wanting to make a mug like this for a long time!
Thank You for your video - I also definitely love the tip about putting the glitter in the tupperware - I was using glitter tonight and making a mess trying to get it back in the container! Thank You - you are awesome!

You did a really good job explaining this process. I can’t wait til my Cricut arrives so that I can try this! You make it look so easy!!!!
Simply beautiful!! Love the quotes too!!!
Thanks. I enjoyed watching your video it was very interesting and helpful to me because I am interested making them .
Thanks for sharing. I am going to try this as well and make my family Christmas gifts this year.
+Sista Scrap thanks for watching! And thanks for answering a few questions that I missed 💜 let me know how they turn out!
Living Life Brittany's Way you’re welcome and I’ll let you know. I just ordered some outdoor vinyl from Amazon (the Oracal brand) in black and white. So I’m excited. Your tut has been the best so far. Thanks again for sharing.
I know this video was posted 2 years ago. I'm curious to know how these mugs hold up over time.
Crafting Momma Bear oh yes
They hold up well, as long as you use Modpodge 👍
Same here
I love it, I subscribed!
Love this! Thank you! I was wanting something to make my fellow admin employees for admin appreciation day next month!
Wowwww. I don't know what has taken me so long to find your page! Do you have a video on how you put the letters on after mp-ing the mug gold?
super its really nice
Hi, where did you get your brush? What is the name of it please? Great job on the cups, made a couple for Mother’s Day….
great video by the way supper clear instructions

+Random Acts of Kala thanks for watching! She probably used sublimation ink for her decal, it’s much different from the vinyl that I use here.
I know this video is old- but I tried my hand at glittering a mug and it was a fail! Lol after finding your video I see what I did wrong and will try again! Thank you!
I love your video/tutorial...
Thank you for sharing...
Note: the background music
was a little too loud, it was
hard to understand you at times.
Oh, you are kind... I HATED the "music". Sounded like a kid in 3rd grade practicing on a snare drum his 3rd day. And it was LOUD AF. I had to mute it.
Great video and beautiful cups!
faithscurls thanks so much for watching ❤️
Hi awesome video!! Where can I find the vinyl quotes?
Not sure if this was asked before, but is this dishwasher and Microwave safe?
This product is not intended for outdoor use and is not heat resistant
if you read about the product online that's what it says
Hi i love the cup how did you do the words thx u for the tutorial
what was the sealant called ? and i write my lettering with sharpie and then bake it. I am assuming I can do this before the glitter project?
Can you use mod podge as a sealant?
Love love love this!! Thank you for you instructions that are very clear.. the vinyl.. what do you use to make the lettering?
I love this video!!!
If I wanted to write on the cup with a sharpie would I do that 1st (bake it etc) then do the glitter?
Is it water resistant?? " will the glitter come off when washing the cup? Or do I need to spray something transparent on top of the glitter to coat it?
Do you put anything over the letters to make sure they don’t peel off when hand washing etc?
Which markers did you use? Did you bake it after ?
Do you seal your vinyl with the triple thick or mod podge? Mine still looks clunky.
Did you use a heat press to apply the vinyl or did you just rub it on? After that did you seal the vinyl in any way or just left it as is?
Did you bake it in the oven after to keep the writing from coming off?
Beautiful work and very clear instructions. Thank you. Please let met know if you are using outdoor, iron on or just regular vinyl. Thanks again and I am looking forward to more DIYs.
theola kim thank you so much for your kind words! I used outdoor vinyl for this project!
Living Life Brittany's Way
Hello..why is it best to use outdoor vinyl?
Eboney Rachel it has a stronger adhesive :)
Love this video!
Great job!!
Hey love you work and video. Where did you get your vynls from
What kind of mod podge was used?
Where do you get your cute decals? 😊 love this cup!
I don't own a dishwasher so is it important to use a dishwasher safe mod podge
can I use triple thick over the vinyl as well to give it a glossy look.
Jessica Alexander thanks for watching! I have never used the triple thick on the vinyl so I'm not sure how that will turn out.
I was wondering the same thing. You should comment again if it was successful!
i have the triple thick spray glazing spray..would that work?
Great tutorial!
Do I not need epoxy to do this? Just a clear sealant?
Thanks for the video. I went today and bought all materials except for the sealer. I couldn’t find it.
i purchased mine from amazon
Can the MP be used as a sealant?
i enjoyed the informative video but could do without the music
Were did u get the vinyle? Im excited i want to dexorate some cups for a while now
great video!! thanks bunches
+Patricia Van Lierop thanks for watching!
Where do you get all your glitter? Do you buy in bulk?
Hey I am looking for a way to seal the vinyl lettering so that it stays on better. I just started making mugs and glasses etc. Any tips?
Hi! Thank you for your video, I wanted to ask if you also applied the sealer over the vinyl? Thank you
Roxana Cerritos I did not, only over the glitter ❤️
How did you make the gold tripon the top of one mug?
ShelliWellz the rim was gold when I bought it :)
What other sealants can be used
Can these sealed glitter mugs go in the microwave?
great tips!
Really I love your tutorial.was very nice. But how you make each letter? .I am no idea.
Is the sealer waterproof?
Great video! I have one question since that is a coffee cup, can it be microwaved?
Great video! I have one question since that is a coffee cup, can it be microwaved?
Those mugs should sell like hotcakes then, so many hypocrites out there ! Lol we use Modpodge all the time too 👍
Once completed are these safe to put in the oven? How did you get the wording?
Oh ok thank you
Great Video! New subscriber 😍
Awesome!
Is posible I clean in wash .maching thanks
Applying glitter on mug, is it permanent? Dishwasher safe?
Love it!!
Which fony did you use
I love your video and how you did the mug! My question would be do I remove the tape after it dry or before it dry?
Before it dries.
Can you seal the glitter after removing the tape?
Good video have ordered the products and am eager to start making them :)
do you have tutorials on vinyl lettering
What size of did you use
Where did you get the brush you are using to apply MP?
Dana Hall I got it at Michaels. It’s by the mod podge ❤️
awesome
I purchased the triple thick because of your video, im wondering, have you had it crack? I am trying to figure out what i did wrong.
+thoyle1975 thank you! I don't. I'll work on that video next :)
Do you use triple thick or anything to seal on the vinyl?? Or do you only use it for the glitter? I am worried about the vinyl cup going in the dishwasher, or even getting wet without a sealant.
Jessi Baker I only use it on the glitter. I recommend hand washing only for the best results.
Could you just use mod podge to seal the glitter for the last two steps instead of the triple sealant? Or will it not be dishwasher safe? Thanks in advance and great video
Maree Pas thanks for watching! I've seen it be done with only Mod Podge. It all about preference.
Very nice ! Can you microwave it?
+laura mondragon I don’t recommend it.
Hi :) just wondering could you have used the mod podge as the sealant ? The one I bought it says it’s a sealer, glue and finish :/ please let me know
It will work but it def dulls the finish. triple or expoxy give great shine
I love it. Am I still able to drink out of it... is it safe?
Jackie Mendez hi, thank you so much for watching! I bought the cup with the gold rim already on it so yes, it is safe to drink out of.
do you find the triple thick works better to seal the glitter? does it give the glitter a better finish?
+Dequina Williams I love the way that it seals, but I don't love how it dulls the glitter a bit so I'm testing out alternatives to see what works for me. I'll be sure to keep you all updated if anything changes 💕
So the triple thick dulls the glitter ?
+Dequina Williams it's not as sparkly as I would like. It's really a personal preference!
I feel the same way about the mod podge . I wonder if there is anything else we can do
I know of a few crafty friends who do tumblers and they swear by epoxy
Thank you so much for this tutorial, I plan on using it to make a gift for my teacher. But I don't have dishwash modge podge, is it ok if I use regular modge podge?
Jarenin Plasencia yes regular is fine :)
Hi I've been crafting for many year, the issue I have with the video is the loud music, but regular Mod Podge won't hold in water, she has to use Dish washer safe mod podge. Regular Mod Podge is only good if you're making the cup as a decoration only, not a drinking cup, nice mug though.
what is the name of the sealant you used in the video and is it food safe?
yasmeen a its called triple thick and to my knowledge it is not food safe.
This is so cool! Definitely saving this so I can make this ad a gift for someone. Awesome video, just subbed 😊 #rwoyt
Carmella Wint thank you so much for watching! These make the perfect gift!
Is there a wait time before the mugs can be used. I am making it today, can I give it as a valentines day gift or does it need a fews days to cure?
irene allen it should be fine, just recommend lightly hand washing!
What type of vinyl should I use so that it is permanent on tumblers/mugs? the cricut one I use is super bulky on my mugs and can be scraped off :/
When I work with glass or tiles for coasters, I use 651, which is permanent.
Do these mugs need to be baked
No ma’am they don’t!
