Thanks for making this Charlimarie! We’re a small RUclips channel that needs our logo on mugs for us to use on the show and this is exactly what we needed. A show with little budget is forced to be creative :) ... thanks again! You can see the mugs in upcoming episodes.
I love the colours you used on the "Wanderlust" one! Also, the font and watercolour effect. I feel like I need to try this even though I'm not a great DIY person...
Ahh I love this! I'm one of those lame people who collects mugs from everywhere I go and anything cute, I'm kind of obsessed haha I am definitely gonna make my own! Thankyouuu xx
+Chontelle Louise (chontellelouise) mugs are the BEST thing to collect! I don't like random knick knacks but I figure mugs have a purpose! (even though i have one for every day of the month pretty much... haha)
This DIY is amaaaazing!! As soon as I'm allowed to have more mugs (cupboards are a bit overflowing atm) I'm gonna make a ton of these! ☺️☺️ And I'm totally gonna gift some as well!
Just saw your video and wondered if you had any tips on how to repaint a mug that you re-glued the handle on? In my case the handle is black and it had broke into three pieces and now there are ruff exposed areas where some of the paint came off in the break.
Wow Charli your video is full of Creativity Keep it up 👍.. I m sorry but your voice is Hauntingly Attractive , Charming , So Enticing and inviting .. God Bless
I can't wait to try it. Thank you for this video. Very easy to follow. Can you tell me how I can add the ornament designs to print? I managed to download the font in word. Just can't find a way to add the ornament designs.
Jus to make sure, I have to place the mugs in a cool oven and the turn the heat 190 Celsius for 20 minutes and then let them cool inside the oven right??? Please confirm these instructions! And thank you for sharing!!!!
Hi, does it need the modge podge? I am wondering if the heat in oven would be enough? I watched a video where he placed print using submerge technique and applied heat to seal, washed if after, perfectly sealed.
Hello 😊😊👋 i would like to ask do we need product to make the nail polish last ? And what product is it ? Because I live in Madagascar and we don’t have the one that you showed
Great looking mugs! Please, answer this question for novice crafters like me. How does one tell the difference between a ceramic mug and a china mug? Thanks for the video.
Would I be able to microwave these mugs? I want to make sure I can let my friends know if they can microwave or not before I give it as a gift :) Thank you!
So I tried this for the first time today and it didn’t go as well as I had hoped. The good news is I can clean off the mugs and try again. Is there any tips to avoid water bubbles?
I followed this to a T, except the colors of the nail polish. When I took them out of the oven my colors changed- blue to green and black to purple and some of the color just completely baked off. They don’t look horrible but it’s not how I wanted them to come out.
They look really good! I've tried nail polish marbling a few times but I can't get it right haha I blame Pinterest lazy users with pretty basic tutorials hahaha but your was great! :)
that's a cool DIY! :3 i've always wanted to do something with our mugs at home.. bought it with an intention to design it.. but i never knew what to do.. :3 cool diy charli! aahh gash how do you guys take a video of a DIY?! I've tried but my footages are just meh..
Can we use the Stickers From the Dollar Tree 🌴 ? One video 2 girls were on it & I think they put them in the oven. I have been looking for their video, but haven't found it so far.
love the combining of 2 ideas, great job!! Have u seen videos where they do this with paint too. Do u know if paint needs to be oil base like the markers or just regular water base acrylic? Just realized Nail polish isn't water base. Don't want to ruin a mug unnecessarily
I don't think you could, especially not with acrylic paint. Acrylic paint tends to blend in with water very easily instead of sitting on the top. Plus, if too much water is added to acrylic paint the binding particles are broken apart and the paint won't last.
I was really disappointed... I did the water technique and it looked AMAZING! Then, when I put it into the oven, the nail polish burnt. I did 190°C in an electric oven for 20 minutes after it preheated with the mugs inside and the mugs came out with the nail polish completely discolored... if you try this recipe, I would do it closer to 120°C for maybe half the time? Idk, but I did a bulk batch for Christmas gift and again, very disappointed.
These look awesome, however I would be reluctant to try it as I don't think that nail polish and sharpie is something I want to add to my oven. I'm sure the fumes it will give off are not the healthiest thing to be adding to the kitchen or the atmosphere... I could be wrong though, but I'd personally not want to try it. 😕
I've seen a lot of these, never with the writing though! Love it so much!
I loved making these! They made great pencil holders for my friends!
Wow this is so beautiful!!!! I want to try this, thanks for the idea!!!
I'm going to try this on my authentic handmade pottery mugs! Thanks for this! I may make up some vases this way!

Hows the durability of the mug?
I can't wait to try it.
I know this is four years ago. I just love your channel and just found it
I love the colours you used on the "Wanderlust" one! Also, the font and watercolour effect. I feel like I need to try this even though I'm not a great DIY person...
+itsLizzie These are so much easier than they look I promise! Just dipping things in water and nail polish, and tracing! :)
Just a note; (I realize how late this is)
The modpodge has to sit for 28 days before it’s completely dishwasher safe
Thanks for noting that!!
Is it microwave safe too?
This is so awesome! Love the watercolour affect!
+Lauren Hay i was so happy when it worked out how I'd imagined!
that's really awesome, I don't usually find a DIY that I really like, but these are great!

I'm OBSESSED with mugs! I've tried so many sharpie diy mugs and could never get it dishwasher safe. So I'm definitely going to try this method!
+iamtiff Creative give it a go! I think maybe i should have left mine to bake longer and then it might not have chipped off

Just saw your video and wondered if you had any tips on how to repaint a mug that you re-glued the handle on? In my case the handle is black and it had broke into three pieces and now there are ruff exposed areas where some of the paint came off in the break.

Where do I get these "print outs"
This is so cool!!!!!
I though it will be harder.
I think ill try it!!
+Beatriz M it looks way harder than it is for sure!
I don't know if somebody asked this before but what would be an alternative for the oven part because we don't have one. :(
Thanks! :3
So did u use microwave? Was it good option?
can I use permanent marker if I don't have a sharpie?
i think anything oil based is fine? though im late and never done this before
do you absolutely have to let the paint sharpie and nail polish sit for a day?
omg this is beyond stunning, is there any other marker you can use other then the paint marker?
(P.S i love the design) :)
Does anyone know an alternative to the mod podge?
I can't wait to try it. Thank you for this video. Very easy to follow. Can you tell me how I can add the ornament designs to print? I managed to download the font in word. Just can't find a way to add the ornament designs.
do you think i have to use that specific type of modge podge i have the yellow or the blue one
Love it.
Jus to make sure, I have to place the mugs in a cool oven and the turn the heat 190 Celsius for 20 minutes and then let them cool inside the oven right??? Please confirm these instructions! And thank you for sharing!!!!

we can't made without mod podg?
Hello 😊😊👋 i would like to ask do we need product to make the nail polish last ? And what product is it ? Because I live in Madagascar and we don’t have the one that you showed
This is beautiful
Is it ok if I have no modge pod to apply?, If not was there any subtitute to modge pod?
Great looking mugs! Please, answer this question for novice crafters like me.
How does one tell the difference between a ceramic mug and a china mug?
Thanks for the video.
great question, I have no idea!
We don't have dishwasher safe mod podge. Can we use ceramic sealer instead?
Would I be able to microwave these mugs? I want to make sure I can let my friends know if they can microwave or not before I give it as a gift :) Thank you!

+555capricorn ooo thats a great idea!!

+Tiyan Campbell thanks for watching! :)
If I didn’t buy dishwasher safe mod podge, can it still be washed and drunken out of?
Thank you so much for your video. :-*
Excuse me how much time should we keep this in the oven ?????
Pls tell
Amazing!
+Kimlee no YOU are :)
Awesome
So I tried this for the first time today and it didn’t go as well as I had hoped. The good news is I can clean off the mugs and try again. Is there any tips to avoid water bubbles?
Can i used corelle mug
great idea! :D
+Nadia Luna thanks Nadia!
Are they dishwasher safe?
I don't have a dishwasher safe gloss, will the nail polish and the letters still stay?(I will just hand wash them)
Where did you get the print of wanderlust and the other one?
I made them in Adobe Illustrator
I followed this to a T, except the colors of the nail polish. When I took them out of the oven my colors changed- blue to green and black to purple and some of the color just completely baked off. They don’t look horrible but it’s not how I wanted them to come out.
They look really good! I've tried nail polish marbling a few times but I can't get it right haha I blame Pinterest lazy users with pretty basic tutorials hahaha but your was great! :)
+justBorja hope you can give it another go with these instructions! I was so excited when it worked xD
What kind of mug is used ?
I thought you couldn't put mugs like this in the oven because nail polish is flammable.
hmm good point! Mine were fine, I suppose cos the oven was electric and there were no flames nearby.
👌👌👌👌👌👌
Hello Charli Marie! Thank you so much for this awesome tutorial. Are the mugs microwave safe?
ruclips.net/video/XOxuGtrR8U4/видео.html
Can the templates be purchased or made?
Sorry I haven't made these available for purchase!
that's a cool DIY! :3 i've always wanted to do something with our mugs at home.. bought it with an intention to design it.. but i never knew what to do.. :3 cool diy charli!
aahh gash how do you guys take a video of a DIY?! I've tried but my footages are just meh..
+Auie The Black Stilettos it takes a lot of practice and trial and error I think! Don't give up Auie :)
:D :D will try again next week when I get an extra day off (finally!!) thanks Charli!
Can we use the Stickers From the Dollar Tree 🌴 ? One video 2 girls were on it & I think they put them in the oven. I have been looking for their video, but haven't found it so far.
I have no idea sorry. I’ve never tried it.
Font?

Which mug is this and Is this a alcoholic ink ........ And marker what is that
Hello :) does the process make it food-safe, can you drink out of it?
the design is only on the outside! so, yes.
I'm not a professional tho so that's not actual advice 😅
Why isn't this working for me? I made sure my water was very hot and the nail poish just clumps to the mug even though I dipped it fast?
can I use oil colours ? or even acrylic paint ?
+Sims Sihs I'm not sure sorry!
+CharliMarieTV okay thanks for replying ❤
I don't think you could, especially not with acrylic paint. Acrylic paint tends to blend in with water very easily instead of sitting on the top. Plus, if too much water is added to acrylic paint the binding particles are broken apart and the paint won't last.
I'll order some porcelain paint or so .. thanks ! ❤
I've been looking at Pebeo Porcelaine 150, I haven't tried it though. There are mixed reviews on it's durability when it's combined with water.
is it okay to not use the mod podge?
I think the design just won’t last as long
Can i put those mugs in pressure cooker..? Is dat okk???.. I don't hv a microwave wid me.. REPLY ME SIS..
I have noooo idea. be careful! it doesn't sound like a good idea.
Without mug podge the word will be erasable or not??
it could scratch off
Can I put my mugs in the oven along with my Beef Roast??
haha i wouldn't recommend it
شرح وافي :)
Very good😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘
is this safe for drinking?
As long as they're plastic like ? I don't have a machine like that. Thank You
(Note to self) 375° Fahrenheit
I was really disappointed... I did the water technique and it looked AMAZING! Then, when I put it into the oven, the nail polish burnt. I did 190°C in an electric oven for 20 minutes after it preheated with the mugs inside and the mugs came out with the nail polish completely discolored... if you try this recipe, I would do it closer to 120°C for maybe half the time? Idk, but I did a bulk batch for Christmas gift and again, very disappointed.
Nail polish isn't dishwasher or microwave safe, its flammable. Use glass paint next time.
+Lauren Dawson fair enough! I made sure I used a fan forced oven setting for it so fumes weren't an issue luckily :)
The white make so much of this disappear.
When you don't like your old nail polish colors and you want to use them anyway...
+Newecreator everything has a use! hehe
my mug lost its gloss!! what can i do??
+Zephyr Melody oh no! I'm not sure sorry as this hasn't happened to me! Consult the brand of the gloss you used maybe?
