If there's one thing I can't have too many of it's cute mugs (though my kitchen cupboard is way too full). Check out this DIY project to make your own customised mugs with a coloured marble effect on the base, and a sharpie lettering quote.

Just saw your video and wondered if you had any tips on how to repaint a mug that you re-glued the handle on? In my case the handle is black and it had broke into three pieces and now there are ruff exposed areas where some of the paint came off in the break.
I can't wait to try it. Thank you for this video. Very easy to follow. Can you tell me how I can add the ornament designs to print? I managed to download the font in word. Just can't find a way to add the ornament designs.

love the combining of 2 ideas, great job!! Have u seen videos where they do this with paint too. Do u know if paint needs to be oil base like the markers or just regular water base acrylic? Just realized Nail polish isn't water base. Don't want to ruin a mug unnecessarily

Hi, does it need the modge podge? I am wondering if the heat in oven would be enough? I watched a video where he placed print using submerge technique and applied heat to seal, washed if after, perfectly sealed.

Where do I get these "print outs"
I don't have a dishwasher safe gloss, will the nail polish and the letters still stay?(I will just hand wash them)

Jus to make sure, I have to place the mugs in a cool oven and the turn the heat 190 Celsius for 20 minutes and then let them cool inside the oven right??? Please confirm these instructions! And thank you for sharing!!!!

So I tried this for the first time today and it didn’t go as well as I had hoped. The good news is I can clean off the mugs and try again. Is there any tips to avoid water bubbles?

Where did you get the print of wanderlust and the other one?
I made them in Adobe Illustrator
They look really good! I've tried nail polish marbling a few times but I can't get it right haha I blame Pinterest lazy users with pretty basic tutorials hahaha but your was great! :)

Can we use the Stickers From the Dollar Tree 🌴 ? One video 2 girls were on it & I think they put them in the oven. I have been looking for their video, but haven't found it so far.
I have no idea sorry. I’ve never tried it.
I followed this to a T, except the colors of the nail polish. When I took them out of the oven my colors changed- blue to green and black to purple and some of the color just completely baked off. They don’t look horrible but it’s not how I wanted them to come out.
is this safe for drinking?
can I use oil colours ? or even acrylic paint ?

I don't think you could, especially not with acrylic paint. Acrylic paint tends to blend in with water very easily instead of sitting on the top. Plus, if too much water is added to acrylic paint the binding particles are broken apart and the paint won't last.

I've been looking at Pebeo Porcelaine 150, I haven't tried it though. There are mixed reviews on it's durability when it's combined with water.

I only tried with the nail polish types shown here so you’d have to test it out! I wouldn’t suggest gel polish.

These look awesome, however I would be reluctant to try it as I don't think that nail polish and sharpie is something I want to add to my oven. I'm sure the fumes it will give off are not the healthiest thing to be adding to the kitchen or the atmosphere... I could be wrong though, but I'd personally not want to try it. 😕
+Lauren Dawson fair enough! I made sure I used a fan forced oven setting for it so fumes weren't an issue luckily :)

I was really disappointed... I did the water technique and it looked AMAZING! Then, when I put it into the oven, the nail polish burnt. I did 190°C in an electric oven for 20 minutes after it preheated with the mugs inside and the mugs came out with the nail polish completely discolored... if you try this recipe, I would do it closer to 120°C for maybe half the time? Idk, but I did a bulk batch for Christmas gift and again, very disappointed.
Nail polish isn't dishwasher or microwave safe, its flammable. Use glass paint next time.
The white make so much of this disappear.
