my aunt and uncle owned a hotel there--we would take the white steamship and hang with them and another aunt and uncle worked for the other---my cousins and my bros sisters all had a ton of fun there--we flew our rental piper over there a few times,all in the 50ties,60ties--it was a glourious time--beautiful place

I grew up in Avalon. I remember watching people arrive on the Steamer, but I don't remember hearing the song in this film clip. It was cute so I've tried to write what I think they sang. "Oh give me a week* where the blue waters peak, On the shores of this magical isle. Where we all come to play, through the sun shiny day, and there's laughter and fun all the while. As a 3rd generation Islander, locals have called it 'The Isthmus' as long as I can remember. If this is from 1938, we'll there you go. Hope you have/had a good time.
What sad is that no one talked about it on RUclips or don't have that many things there like a movie theater or auto shop to fix golfcart and they should have a casino since alot people go there
