hi, I recently bought a dreame l10s ultra, I can still return it on Amazon, the main reason for the purchase is washing. in your opinion this is so much superior and is it worth sending back the dreame? Thx for your review
Well if you are happy with the cleaning performance of the L10s than I would keep it. Also the L10s has the live video feed via the App where the S8 Pro doesn't offer this. The cleaning performance is better on the S8 Pro, but not a big enough difference to change and perhaps pay more for this unit.
Please show how the S8: 1. is effective in picking up very long hair, 2. How much of them get tangled around the brushes, 3. How difficult and time-consuming is it to remove the hair from the brush rollers 4. Compare it to the S7, Regards!
Did they really remove the live camera streaming and manual remote control in the S8 Pro Ultra that the S7 MaxV Ultra had? I’m not upgrading if that’s the case.
Nathan the Knight Rider scanner bar is KITT's bad ass scanning hood light (was a big selling point for me with the S7 🤣) In case you don't know what I am talking about. Knight Rider was a TV show about a robotic car and its Ai was the main character's sidekick. FYI The same cool scanning light bar was also used by the enemy robot drone ships in Battle Star Galactica.
Oh I see, I need to watch it. Robot Vacuums need to have some cool color changing LED lights or at least a decent looking design. Some older Robot Vacuums could play mp3 files.
@@RobotMasters Nate this might sound nuts but to me the absolute COOLEST feature would be if Roborock would allow us to customize the sounds/alerts. The first thing I would do is turn it into R2 D2 😍
Thanks for your reviews! If you can't clean the water tank on the ultra or pro s8 model, what's the S8 plus look like? The mop on that is only manual, how does it work?
Not sure if you talking about the water tank and how you clean non removable ones. If that the case than my best option is to use a little cleaning solution in the fresh water tank of the dock.
@@RobotMasters thanks for the quick reply. What I am trying to understand is how to fill and clean the s8 water tank on the units they sell without the mop cleaning and filling station?? I was under the impression that all the S8's are the same but don't understand how that could be if the auto fill ones are inaccessible??
i also have the same one, bit ihave a question about mop. does it quite wet compared with other, such ecovacs x1 or dreame s10 pro? i touch the mop by finger, and found it quite wet, after choosing three type of mopping, all the same status...my ground looks much more water stains and slipping....is it my s8 pro ultra faulty, so that i wanna ask you if you have the same situation, thanks.
do u think the cleaning performance much better than the s7 maxv or just a little bit better? also whats ur opinion on the new moppin system are the two vibrating thingies really making a difference?
I always enjoy your reviews. I purchased the S7 MaxV Ultra last week and am very pleased with it. The S7 seemed to work best in my home which has mostly wooden floors and no cats or dogs. Your previous reviews helped me choose between the S7 and S8. There's no right answer in making that choice. Watch the reviews and then choose the one that works best in your own home and fits your budget.
I've got S8 few days and I can say it is a bit unreliable regarding navigating between obstacles. Sometimes it works good but sometimes it leaves part of the floor unvisited.
Yeah, if you have the Pet detail in the Reactive AI settings it may be over sensitive. Also if there too many obstacles shown in the map, you can try to recover the backup map which will reset the obstacles within the map. This may help the robot reach more areas without it thinking there a bunch of obstacles on the ground.
Great video, want to purcahse my first mop vac. i like the s8 ultra but im worried that you cant remove the mop and the water tank is hidden. im going to wait for a better model.
Roborock is planning on releasing a few additional models this year. We will see what these models have. Also the Roborock S7 Ultra is still the most featured rich model out there from Roborock.
Thanks, well if you change the water tanks often I don't notice any smell. Also since the mopping pad dries very quickly with the heating element, there isn't very much chance of mold build up. I do recommend throwing the mopping pad in the washer and dryer every month or so.
WAIT EVEN THE MOP PLATE ISN’T REMOVABLE!? WHY ROBOROCK!? WHY!? Can you at least remove the pad from the plate? I believe there is a black and white camera up front. Not sure tho.
@@RobotMasters ROBOROCK RELEASED 2 NEW MODELS! Roborock S7 Max (not MaxV). A more economical S7 MaxV ROBOROCK Q REVO. THIS ONE HAS DUAL SPINNING MOP PADS! FINALLY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It also has a base with a bigger dust bag and 5L water tanks!!!
Hmm, doesn't seem like a worth enough up grade for my Dreametech L10s Ultra Robot Vacuum. I've been really happy with my L10s as it does everything pretty well overall. I'm excited to see what Dreametech puts out next. Great video friend.
I really liked the L10s Ultra. The smaller Dock makes it easier to place in smaller areas without it sticking out like a sore thumb. My favorite features of the L10s is the Camera/Navigation, the mopping pads being able to lift up. Hopefully for this year DreameTech offers some new features. 😊
@@RobotMasters something tells me Dreametech has a new model right around the corner based on the discounts I've seen lately. I'll wait for your review. Last thing I will say is that Dreametech puts out good software updates as I've owned the L10s since launch and it's only gotten better since then.
@@RobotMasters really sorry to bother you, but could you try. I'm going blind and am adapting my home to use VA to aid me. Ive tried other vacs, but they only do start and stop. Room selection is important for me.
@philosophicaldoctor I just searched and apparently the voice commands are limited. Look for the iRobot series, utilizes Amazon for room select via voice. Also the Shark models have this ability. Lastly the newer Ecovacs have an on board voice assistant called Yuko. It available on their T10 and X1 OMNI series.
@Laszlo Bagi Yes that correct, come people are worried about privacy so this is a good option for them. If they want the camera stick with the S7 MaxV Ultra. There will be a few other Roborock models coming out as well. I don't believe this model was supposed to be their top end model for the year.
@@RobotMasters Thanks for the info, I saw a blurb about Roborock bringing out a spinning mop. I have the dreametech l10s ultra which works very well with the exception of a docking issue I'm having
You can create a single map, have it clean the entire map, spot clean and return to base. To use all the other features it recommended to have an internet connection.
@Randy retired Yes you can, but the robot will automatically create a new map if it doesn't recognize the level it on once you move it to the new level.

Also, Amazon just dropped the prize of the Dreametech L10s Ultra Robot Vacuum to $800. Just something to consider.

lol what? on my S7 plus it takes max 5 seconds to remove the long hair of my partner, hardly doubt on the S8 would take anything longer than that

Yes that correct
Does the old Plus Station from the roborock S7 work with the roborock S8?
Even though they are designed similar I don't think they will be compatible as roborock prevents backwards compatibility on certain docks.
