I love how you guys did a direct comparison between the S7 and S8. I’ve been debating buying the S7 or waiting for the S8, and this video convinced me to wait.
S8 pro ultra has already been in asia for quite awhile. You won't regret this buy. I've slight ocd and used to vacuum every single day even unused rooms. s8 pretty much made me forget about the cleaning part because i can just set it up to work when i goes to work. Just need to clean it once a week.
Love this comparison! I was an early adopter of iRobot but IMO Roborock is way ahead of them at this point. I wouldn’t go back. They only thing I’m hoping to see is the possibility of replacing the battery and other parts as one can do with iRobots. This kind of money is a lot to spend if the machine is rendered useless once the battery goes.
As someone with allergies and a very busy work life, this seems to be a game changer. I've lived in a house with a robovac but I was never sure how well it actually cleaned. Great to see the focus on efficacy not just convenience in this model - that dust box comparison was incredible!
I was recently introduced to the Robomate recently while visiting friends in Seoul South Korea. They were really excited to show me their incredible new piece of technology. It was the S7 ultra model and it didn't disappoint! Currently my wife and I are looking at the S8 ultra and are saving up for it. It is so impressive!

Videos like these are quite helpful when researching for robot vacuums for the first time. It seems like it would not be a big difference compared to the previous model especially when I only have hard flooring. This seems like it would be a great time saver since I am quite lazy when it comes to vacuuming the house.
I love to see all the improvements! Built in dryer is great to see. Also, very nice to see that the base is almost fully inclosed. I wish they had a Bagless option for the dock though 😢. I hate the idea of having to look for bags that may be impossible to get down the road.
Hopefully i win the S8! 😅 sad part of the S8 is that, they have 2 separate robots for each dock. So if i were to buy just the robot by itself i will not have brush risers or vibrating plate 2.0! Idk why they had to do that!
I loved this Product. It really impressed me when I saw 4:17 where Roborock S8 Pro Ultra was compared to Roborock S7 MaxV Ultra. The Difference was so large. We have S5 max since it came out, and still love it. This one is really game changer, and worth the upgrade. Cannot believe that manual vacuuming could finally come to an end :)
This would be so amazing for my home with my messy puppy! The dual roller brushes look great for pet hair. And how great that it automatically switches between mop and vacuum! Great that it maps out the house. And it empties itself! Wow.
A really good mop on a combo that is also self-emptying and self-cleaning is what I've been waiting for to upgrade (from a J7+). Being disabled, these kinds of robots are absolute lifesavers. Can't wait for this to come out!
This would save me hours of work everyday. It looks really good at both moping and vacuuming and it’s not cheap… but worth the money. If it means you can literally “set and forget it” then it’s 👍👍👍

We've just had a baby and thought of buying a roborock vacuum cleaner as I try to juggle taking care of a new baby managing the home and cleaning, etc. We were going to buy the s7, then we found out the s8 would be releasing this year, so we decided to wait. After looking at all the reviews of the s8, we decided it would be worth the wait. I'm really excited on the release of the s8 with the dual brushes, picking up hair and dirt and that it can mop and clean up after itself, would make our lives more easier and still keep our home clean, especially as he's about to crawl. We're looking forward to using the roborock s8!

The Roborock S8 Pro Ultra looks awesome and I love how it is able to pick up and store more dog hairs. The mop is great and it self washes... what a fabulous machine that would make this working mum's life a whole lot easier!

Wow! Just wow! I can imagine how awesome this would be at my place, being one level with pets and my own human hair, vacuum is a time consuming job, the roborock S8 would give us a lot more time back into our already busy life (plus help with the dust allergies!)

Impressed with the navigation. The main problem that I have with robot vacuum was the navigation as it should avoid items like wires, curtains and chair feet. It takes time to prepare an area prior to cleaning. However, this vacuum appears to avoid things that normally snags other robot vacuum. Self cleaning also gives it a plus. I wonder how it works against a fluffier rug.

I had two Samsung robot vacuum cleaners 5 years ago; I gave them each a name. i called them bill and Ben and had their names printed on them so i could tell them apart. Unfortunately bill and ben always got lost going back to the base station, I spent more time looking for them under the bed or getting them untangled. My partner and I lead hectic work lives, and our home has white marble tiles. Since we're away most of the times, the house tends to stay fairly tidy, though our cat and my hair extensions do contribute to some shedding. This robot seems tailor made for our needs. We're not seeking a deep clean, but a swift vacuum and mop would suffice. While it does come with a hefty price tag, we currently spend $500 monthly on a cleaning service. Considering this, the robot could serve as a valuable investment and possibly lead to substantial savings in the long run.
Having had friends over from the UK for a week has clearly shown us the weakness in our existing vacuum robot. Additional adults and kids leave additional stuff lying around, varying from shoes to clothes, chargers and a lot more spillage. I think this new robot answers every need we could possibly have in such a busy and dynamic environment. Can't wait to get our hands on such an upgrade!
I've been eyeing the s7 for months but can't justify the cost for now. I would loooooove this! We have a just smart enough robot vacuum that doesn't have lidar but uses sensors to guess its location and resume after a recharge but with 3 kids and a dog having an object detection system and built-in mop would lessen my load greatly- sometimes I won't run our robot because I don't have time to prep the floors for it to run. It also gets stuck often which is frustrating when we aren't home and 20 minutes into a clean I get an alert that it ended job stuck. Thanks for this comparison, these are definitely on my wish list!

I’m so very impressed by this product, especially because it cleans itself so well. I suffer from sever sinus and asthma which is caused by dust and allergens and this product, with it’s self cleaning features would be an absolute game changer for me 🙏🏻
I have a long haired husky and 2 cats. Vacuuming and mopping is a daily chore which I often don’t find the time for. This would be of great help to keep the house clean, stain and dust free!
Currently doing some robo vaccum research. For almost everything I buy, I look at what the best money can buy before narrowing down to the one that fit my use case and reasonably priced. Didn't think I'd watch the whole way through. I find them fascinating! Especially the self clean mode. Such a smart machine! It has a camera. Wow! I just got a new puppy and this would be ideal for pet hair!
I came to watch this after Wirecutter recommended the S7, I'm now thinking I need to wait to buy - or win! - the S8. What an excellent first step into robot vac ownership that would be!
I've been in love with their products since the 6th generation and I've always wanted to buy one but unfortunately it's out of my financial range and I can't afford to have one of these. No matter what I will still continue to watch videos about it and hope that one day I will be able to buy it for myself.
Love the idea of it mopping the floor and self cleaning, as I seem to sweep and mop the floors mulitple times a day - what a time saver!! Looks like I would still have to get the old vacuum out for the stairs though 😞
Our S7 (we’ve named her Bobby) does an amazing job. We send her out for a regular clean and often send her out to clean the kitchen and the dining room after entertaining. Best appliance investment we made in our retirement home.

I own a s5 max; and although it was expensive, I don’t regret any moment buying it. Thinking about the S8 with the vibra mob and cleaning/emptying station, I think it will be a useful addition as I tend to forget to empty the dustbin aften 😂

I’m so very impressed by this product, especially because it cleans itself so well. I suffer from sever sinus and asthma which is caused by dust and allergens and this product, with it’s self cleaning features would be an absolute game changer for me 🙏🏻

I have a long haired husky and 2 cats. Vacuuming and mopping is a daily chore which I often don’t find the time for. This would be of great help to keep the house clean, stain and dust free!
Currently doing some robo vaccum research. For almost everything I buy, I look at what the best money can buy before narrowing down to the one that fit my use case and reasonably priced. The last gen mid range model S7+ seems to offer most of the cleaning features without breaking the bank. Thanks for the informative comparison.
This is for sure an upgrade to my 8 year old Roomba. I like the mop vacuum combo in this!

The mop/vacuum combination looks like it works very well on the timber floors with a clear difference on the mopped and unmopped on the timber floors

Didn't think I'd watch the whole way through. I find them fascinating! Especially the self clean mode. Such a smart machine! It has a camera. Wow! I just got a new puppy and this would be ideal for pet hair!
I came to watch this after Wirecutter recommended the S7, I'm now thinking I need to wait to buy - or win! - the S8. What an excellent first step into robot vac ownership that would be!
I've been in love with their products since the 6th generation and I've always wanted to buy one but unfortunately it's out of my financial range and I can't afford to have one of these. No matter what I will still continue to watch videos about it and hope that one day I will be able to buy it for myself.

Love the idea of it mopping the floor and self cleaning, as I seem to sweep and mop the floors mulitple times a day - what a time saver!! Looks like I would still have to get the old vacuum out for the stairs though 😞

Our S7 (we’ve named her Bobby) does an amazing job. We send her out for a regular clean and often send her out to clean the kitchen and the dining room after entertaining. Best appliance investment we made in our retirement home.
Thank you for the review. It does appear to be the leading robot so far getting closed to being more and more independent. I used to be a big iRobot fan but will have to try Roborock s8 pro.

I own a s5 max; and although it was expensive, I don’t regret any moment buying it. Thinking about the S8 with the vibra mob and cleaning/emptying station, I think it will be a useful addition as I tend to forget to empty the dustbin aften 😂

I love the fact that it dries the mop so that it doesn't get mildewy. That and the better mopping "vibrations" makes it a pretty worthy upgrade in my book. Great video!
the leaps in technology with robot vacuums over the last few years is amazing. with items like this one probably can ditch the dyson

I am really excited to get this new Roborock S8 - the mopping looks amazing. We have a robomate that does a wonderful job with our pet hair, but now I would like to add the mopping and the self-cleaning mop looks fantastic. Thanks for making the comparison video.
