Just found your channel because of 'A Day In The Life' youtube channel. I'm so glad he mentioned your channel cuz YOU ROCK! I'm a newbie to Diode Laser stuff and learning all I can about my XTool D1 Pro... Your videos are awesome (and inspiring)! Thank you.
Thanks for the tour...you've given me some ideas! I've been taking my laser to craft shows for a little over a year now and would LOVE to have a setup like yours. Good luck this weekend! Look forward to hearing a recap of how you do -- be sure to take lots of pictures!
It's so nice how your willing to show all you tricks and not keep anything like a "professional secret" .. I see I'm am very far from being able to pull that off but at least I know what I miss now
Love your setup, wish I had it. Have a big event the end of July in West Virginia that I’ll be taking my laser and setting up. Sadly it will have to set on a folding table if it’s sturdy enough to do so. Thanks for showing us yours!!
Have you thought of engraving out of the trailer? Maybe adding a small A/C unit or fan to keep things cool-ish. I've done a few flea markets and have seen several vendors do this.
I use a Beelink mini computer and a small monitor. Saves space and good for running laser/lightburn. Small Monitor not great for designing but functional. A 15" monitor is fine.
Pasty white is the new black, I'm rock'n that look right now...(sing-it)...this pasty leg of mine, I'm gonna let it shine, this pasty arm of mine, I'm gonna let it shine...NOW EVERYBODY...
I think you're having too much fun at this :-) I would like to see some video footage of you working the booth at PeachJam and a re-cap of how you did.
Very informative, thanks for sharing. One question I have is how many pieces of a certain type of small item do you typically take to a show? Seems a balance between so few you sell out quickly and overloading with way too much is needed. I know the answer will vary for everyone but a point of departure number would be helpful
The light that is hitting the window is indirect and unfocused. The material is rated for diode machines and has been tested. I run the same windows in my shop for over a year and no issues. I have also found that you can cut it with a diode so that means it is absorbing the light. The reason I purchase from JTech is that they test it and know way more about it than I do.
I have had it for years. I did aerial photography as a side hustle for a while. According to the registry, it was 2017. I also still do aerial stuff for my friends with Channels.
Love the videos, you have been an inspiration for me to start this laser engraving business.I have owned a xtool d1 for about a year now and ,just ordered an xtool F1 laser and signed up for a couple of events already today. I was hoping you would have some good advice on where to purchase blanks such as keychains, dog tags, tumblers, coasters anything that I can make on the fly at these events that may sell well. Thanks in advance and keep up the great work!!!!
I've been thinking about trying to take a laser to events but power is the issue. Most of the outdoor events we do are set up in a way that wouldn't allow a gas generator. Have you ever tried a battery power ststion like an Eco Flow or Jackery? I wonder how long it would last before it went dead. I can't imagine the diode laser uses much energy.
Now thats service right there i asked last nightvand he put it out today lol Thanks for the insight, its a lil different than i expected but and awesome set up. Curious as to your thoughts of working in the trlr with displays and products out side
Working in the trailer is probably easier on you and the setup, however, part of the allure is people seeing the laser work (safely that is) and if you're in the trailer you'll need someone watching the booth to not lose sales. Half of the event is you selling yourself as the maker. If they can't see you or talk to you, they'll move on.
@@TheClackShack Nice! I’m seriously eyeballing a CO2 galvo laser. I’d love to add a fiber also. Can’t wait to see your videos on it. Any idea when you’ll receive it?
I had a truck like that creep up on me in a parking lot once. Some short goofy southern guy hopped out and tried to lure me away with candy.
Your terrible....lol

Thanks for the tour David! Answers a lot of my questions. No one doing this in my area either. The wheels are turning in my head.
It works for me… thanks
The video I came for!! Great - thanks
You're welcome!
Love your vids. This mobile set up has given me inspiration and goals.
Thanks, brother.
Awesome! Thank you!
Great video!!! I'm just starting my business with a D1 and a custom 10 watt I built. I appreciate your time, effort and detail in this video!!!
Thanks, good luck

Great video! Informative and still entertaining. I watch many of your videos.
I appreciate that!

Thanks for watching!
Enjoyed this. Been thinking of doing something similar. Love the setup

Most of the events I go to it would be tough. I kinda like the open air setup for what I do
I feel your pains. My tan stops where my short sleeves end and my hubby and I war about Ford vs. Chevy…sigh😉
It’s the small things… lol

Maybe at this event, I can. I was a little too close to the band last few events. I don't need any copyright strikes.
Wow! Awesome!🤑🥰

I keep blanks with me, I can restock certain designs as needed. Small things I keep about 10 of each on hand made. I sell more made at site things.
Very nice build! The optical shielding you provided a link for is OD 3, is that dense enough for people to safely watch the engraver at your booth?

I love the aerial view and I was wondering. When did you get your Part 107 or did someone else do the video for you?

What are you using for a smoke eater? The shows by us prefer limited fumes.
I am using the comgrow version, it helps but is not a cure.
If you get one, order some spare filters also. amzn.to/3NV6XAz

There are lots of wholesale places out there but Amazon is usually my go to. Most of the wholesale places require more bulk orders than I care to do.

I haven’t tried that
If you are outside, how about a solar panel for charging and basic power?
The output of most compact solar panels scare me. Also, the price..

I just use it for transporting. I don't wanna modify the trailer because I use it to carry lumber and tools when doing work sometimes.
