Always to consider: Keep your camera warm! ;-)

Not necessarily true or necessary. For electronic cameras, keeping the battery warm is important. A lot of professional cameras even have external battery packs that can sit inside a jacket to keep them warm for this specific reason. As I state in the video, keeping your camera in your jacket and taking it out to shoot isn't helping much. Thanks for watching!

Yup, here in Saskatchewan it's been down to the -40Cs this winter. My lubricant froze and seals cracked. Sent for repair its cost me more than the camera cost, but it's a lesson I have learned.

took my TLR out the other day during a really beautiful snowfall. i got some nice pictures, but the lenses got moist and the focusing knob got stiff :( probably gonna have to send it back for repairs. i wish i could shoot without worry in the winter, it's so nice out!

Lenses should only get condensation when you transfer from low humidity to high humidity. We talk about it in the video! Like I said, the cold exposes the flaws that already existed in the camera. A CLA will make it work better, even in summer! Thanks for watching.

I wish I never watched this video. After my battery driven camera suddenly gave up in Tampere (Finland) in December, I decided that it makes no sense when it was cold. This suited me fine for many years.😇😊. Now I have to come up with a new excuse.

Thanks for watching Robert! This video was shot on Näsijarvi in Tampere! That's where our office is located.
