BOSU Ball and BOSU Nexgen are both popular exercise tools used for improving balance, stability, and strength. While both are effective in their own ways, there are some differences that might make one better suited for certain individuals or specific goals. Here are some factors to consider when comparing BOSU Ball and BOSU Nexgen:
Design and Material: The BOSU Ball is made of a thick rubber hemisphere with a flat base while the BOSU Nexgen is designed with a textured dome that provides better grip and traction. The Nexgen model is also constructed with a reinforced polymer base that allows it to withstand more weight and pressure.
Size: The BOSU Nexgen is slightly lighter (surprisingly )than the BOSU Ball, which may make it more portable and easier to store.
Versatility: The BOSU Ball is more versatile in terms of exercises you can perform on it, as it has a flat surface on one side and a rounded surface on the other. This allows for a wider range of exercises including those targeting the upper body and core muscles. The BOSU Nexgen, on the other hand, has a textured dome that is better suited for exercises that require more stability and balance, such as squats, lunges, and single-leg movements.
Price: The BOSU Nexgen is generally more expensive than the BOSU Ball due to its enhanced features and durability.
Ultimately, the choice between BOSU Ball and BOSU Nexgen depends on individual needs and preferences. Both are effective tools for improving balance, stability, and strength, but the Nexgen model may be more suitable for individuals who require more stability during their exercises, while the Ball may be more versatile for a wider range of exercises.

I had one PT session with the bosu ball and knew I needed this in my life. I have sensitive hands, and was worried about the ridges on the Nexgen. Thank you for providing the exact information and comparison I needed to make my decision! I’ll be going the original route.

I'm researching all I can on these because I'll be buying one soon. Do you think using gloves with the nexgen would help with the markings and sensitivity?

Gloves would probably help with the sensitivity, for the markings I find my balance point and where it fits me best, so they weren’t very helpful to me.

Hello, I would like to know if they do some kind of air noise every time you stand up over them . ? (Like some air going away from the bottom when standing on the top and the air coming back into the ball when stop using the ball.) thank you 😊

Yes. Just a little bit. It’s not air entering or leaving the ball it is just compressing the air where the bladder nears the plastic. It’s not that noticeable but yes…

Could you put something over the NextGen one to add some hand cushion?

You probably could. I’m just a weakling and have sensitive hands. Most may not need anything, but it was too much for me.

Use chalk to stop hand slipping
