We got P50 Pro the Chinese version. Have no trouble hooking up with Tmobile in States 4GLTE!. Able to install Gmail/YT. Am using the Maps from Huawei. It works as good as Google map. The camera is to die for. Love the 10X optical zoom. But, I think the color is little bit over saturate. It's just not natural as Iphone 13 Pro Max. On portrait mode, Iphone is better in term of skin tone. These two weaknesses can be fixed with Adobe as long as shooting with Raw file. But the night time mode is simply the best. Highly recommend this phone for people love travel and don't want to take DSLR or other cameras with them. This phone pretty much can do it all!
Huawei phones are very premium specially in camera department. But in India demand for Huawei smartphone is almost 0 don't know why people are not interested in this brand.
Biggest problem is no 5G for future proofing and no Google services. Although a lot of people already get used to the latter. Worst thing is November pricing? We'd probably get this in 2023 if that's the case. Sounds like a sad move.

Great review! When they claim this phone is global 🌎 I truly wonder if I could use it for my garden videos and my daily driver here in Kansas. Emui 11 is working very well with Google services right now. Perhaps it's because where I live is not metropolitan, but my mate 20 x 4g responds to Google Voice commands faster and more accurately than my newly acquired Samsung s21 ultra 5G.

Unless he's using a smart camera that can auto compensate for the bright background. Otherwise, it's always more photogenic to face the light than backing it!
Brother Lim.. I am a recent user of Huawei P30pro and also P40pro.. In your personal opinion, is it worth to upgrade mine to P50pro?? Since we all know that no longer use Kirin chipset.. SD888 is faster to overheat..
Qualcomm is allowed to sell only chipsets with no 5G modem to Huawei. That is why Huawei phones like the P50 Pro and Nova 9 are using 4G version of normally 5G chipsets i.e. 888 4G & 778 4G. Unfortunately, Huawei is still not allowed to use Google services and that wont change for some time.
So Far I'd Say This Phone Is Absolutely Splendid... EXCELLENT Specs...Except For The Battery...A Bit Disappointing In A Time Where Batteries Are At Least 5000mAh And More...Which Is Rather More What In This Device Should Have Been...For What They Call A Flagship...

Huawei makes great phones I'm still a fan.... although of the band....I'll always be a fan.... but one thing the company need to do is make the batteries specs higher and higher.... because all the rest companies are doing it.
Guys if you want to buy this phone, better get the Kirin 9000 chip as the Snapdragon 888 have heating and efficiency issue.. Otherwise, the camera performance is just the same or the Kirin chip slightly better...
Not entirely true. The fundamental hardware has to be there to begin with. E.g. sensor size, pixel size, lens. Computational photography has done an amazing job, particularly by Apple and Google for Pixel, but if one follows the history, the hardware is getting better each year. Even iphone's and Pixel's camera hardware are improved each year as computational photography has its limits, especially when it comes to zooming.
4G and No GMS for this Smartphone, maybe are Deal Breaker. You know, some Region didn't have Optimized 5G yet and there are some people that comfort and no regret using phone without GMS
The P50 series are the first phones to ship with Huawei's own HarmonyOS software - and no, it still cannot run any of Google's core apps like Gmail, RUclips, or Google Drive and Docs

This brand is still existing ? I had the P40Pro... A nightmare. Way too big and too heavy (impossible to use with 1 hand) and I don't tell you all problems I got with the edge screen etc... It was a nightmare. Battery was great though !!
Impressive but no 5G, no GMS, no harmony OS. Not worth buying as there are more better phones out there such as Vivo X70 pro plus, Sony Experia 1 III. Fyi, my Mate 30 still serve me well.
The Huawei 4g pro/mate series will be less costly and faster than 5g fones since most international countries don't have 5g. The pro will have the 5nm chip and the mate will have the 4nm chip.

You should avoid shooting back facing the window. The back light made the whole video looks dark.

Huawei top brand for camera. Top 1 DXO mark always. But no GMS and no 5G it will be wasted phone...
