Not at all shocked a doctor didn't believe someone had Addison's- that's true to life. Many of us that have Addison's _are not believed,_ in spite of the proof we provide (you're even more likely to have it happen as a woman or POC). I nearly died twice in the E.R because they didn't believe my medical alert necklace and didn't believe the paperwork explaining what the protocol necessary for me. If I hadn't had my mom with it, I *would* have died. The treatment for addisonian crisis is a glucocorticoid injection- I had not yet had time to refill my emergency glucocorticoid kit, when I ended up back in the E.R. Despite IV glucocorticoid being standard protocol, two nitwits refused to believe me without running their own tests... at which point I'd have been died. For one, my mom marched out into the hell and yelled "My daughter is having adrenal crisis and HER DOCTOR IS REFUSING TO TREAT HER." He got booted out of the room by the charge nurse, who took two minutes to find a doctor. The second time the doctor (not the ones above) didn't want to give me anything until the test results came back, but that would take *days*. Days would have killed me because I was already knocking on death's door. He was insistent I explain what I was experiencing, again and again. I was delirious, could hardly speak and was in and out of consciousness. He thought I wasn't having adrenal crisis so he wanted to do a bunch of other tests. My mom calmly (scarily) asked if giving me the IV medication would get in the way of whatever tests he wanted to run, and he reluctantly said they wouldn't interfere. So my mom literally _dared_ him to give me the glucocorticoid to see what happened and he took the dare- my symptoms started to clear up within seconds... and then he decided I had been faking all my symptoms. Couldn't fucking win with that guy. Anyway, I totally had a point but I forgot what it was.
That sounds like a nightmare diagnosis coupled with incompetent and/or flat out arrogantly wrong doctors...a perfect storm for higher than average death rates :( :(
So the pregnant chick is a lesbian who is scared bc she was pregnant in her flash forward but yet her gf says in her flash forward she was wearing a wedding band. I'm guessing they got married and maybe she used ivf or something. Why is she assuming that meant she cheated?
