I lost my dad 20 years ago but he and I had a similar relationship. We took short daddy/daughter trips, he always had a dad-joke ready to go, and was up for anything fun. To this day, I still see or hear something and think about how he would enjoy it. You are so blessed with your family and such a good daughter....your parents and grandparents must be SO proud of you.
You're glowing in this video. I need a daily skincare/makeup tutorial from you T_T Glad you enjoyed some quality time with your dad! The food looked awesome
@@gracecanlas she asked her dad about the places they went to eat and her dad said he had been eating at those stalls for decades. So if she travelled alone, her itinerary and experiences would prolly be very different/more amateurish. My comment isn't exactly in conflict with yours, I'm just saying that the dad might be tagging along but he is prolly the main guide for the trip.
I featured clay pot rice in my "what I eat in a weekend" video! I loveeee the classic version too ✨🤍 - hong kong style foods are simple, almost a little bland, but sooo delicious~
I've watched several of your videos now and it's interesting and comforting to see some parallels in our lives, such as our ethnicity (not exactly, but similar) and physique.
welcome to hong kong!! so happy to see you enjoying my city! (and I just realized how similar our editing styles are... we share the same good taste hehe~)
Wonton noodles are made with alkaline water to make them refreshing, while Hong Kong people use red vinegar to remove the alkaline taste and make the fish soup more delicious.
I agree with dad. You rude bish exposing people's birthdays. I be telling everyone I'm 18 too to match dad's stories. 😂 Also this vlog made me so hungry. 🤤
I love, love, loved, HK before the ∆! My first trip to Cambodia was on Cathay Pacific flight with a 5-6 hr. lay over. I'm from LA and no part of LAX is good, contrasting with HK! The downtown train enters the airport, you pass customs, no fee/free visa on arrival back then, buy your train ticket from an English capable vending machine for a few bucks and 25-30min. later you're passing Kowloon, looking across the harbor at the Island! Why can't California have this instead of the unfinished, multi-billion $$, slowest "high speed rail" between Bakersfield and Fresno? I know, call me a dreamer...
So... you have a 19 year old stepmom..!?!? haha Seriously though, LOVE all the food you two ate.. Although I have to say I've never been to HK before. And that clay pot rice though..!! One of the signature dishes by one of my late grandmother's.. Chicken and Chinese sausage clay pot rice that she would make for me almost everyday for lunch..

I’m drooling, all the food looks incredible. So sweet that your dad tagged along and you got to hang out!
Dad is the one that knew all the places
She literally said her dad offered to come with her to HK-that has nothing to do with him knowing all places.

Fewer and fewer people taking Star Ferry all the time due to the cross harbor MTR line now. Pretty much all tourists now.
Worse than Chongqing! Haha 😆 yeah I hate stairs but I like the world’s longest escalator
Hi Julia, I’m also going to be making the trip from guangzhou into HK. do you mind saying what the procedures were?
All the best for your small and big success in your own world future
Lol...the duck quack censoring part at beginning. Really used to it bc cursing is so casual & common in the mainland & HK.
wild, i've stayed at the same hotel and ate at the same goose place over 3 years ago 😭
Hi, much enjoyed your HK trip video. What hotel is that you stayed in?
I agree with dad. You rude bish exposing people's birthdays. I be telling everyone I'm 18 too to match dad's stories. 😂 Also this vlog made me so hungry. 🤤

Hi! I’m from Hong Kong
Why did your dad leave Hong Kong? You live in Guangzhou now? And by the way your English is perfect. Did you live in the USA or Canada?
Wow..your Canto is really good. I thought you were Taiwanese or from PRC. Flabbergasted.😅
so nice! does anyone know the price of the hotel in HK?
What was the name of the hotel in mong kok?
You eat with chop sticks so effortless 🫶 i hope i will some day. I am so clumsy. 🤣

三姐妹中,Julia 最像老爸。
疫情前去“澳洲牛奶公司”,因讲普通话被店员嫌弃😢😅。
