I resonate with your caption so much ❤ I’m also a Chinese American living in a small town and I’m going to China in two weeks after 7 years as my post high school grad trip. I’m so excited because I get to enjoy it so much more now because I’m more confident in my identity. Amidst so much sinophobia right now, I really appreciate context creators like you who are giving insight into our motherland and culture!
Saying goodbye is never easy.. I hope you had an amazing time and the tears will turn into happiness again. Thank you for taking us with you and I really enjoyed it. ❤
I have been so unmotivated in life lately. The urge to actually be productive has been very faint. But every time I watch Julia’s videos I’m reminded of the life I want to live. And that anything is actually possible, as long as you dedicate yourself to it. Thank you for your videos, Julia. They are truly inspiring and help guide me back to my priorities. I am genuinely grateful for you. Please never stop making videos (unless you want/have to! Your health is important as well!!). I look forward to more inspiring journeys. Sending so much love and light. 💕✨ PS: Have you ever thought about making a video about what inspires you or keeps you motivated and focused on your success/goals? I see you as a big sister, and that would honestly be really impactful. Just an idea. Thank you, sis! 😊
What a beautiful series! My daughter and I watch you together and just wanted you to know that we are blown away by the opening montage, love the beautiful shot quality and were so impressed by the Surfshark ad. However, we wanted to thank you for creating another project that makes us feel- we felt your joy, disappointment, happiness and sadness with you over this trip-. Excellent work- every second!!
So glad you had a wonderful trip and visit with family. I'm sure it was hard to leave, but looks like you made so many memories! Thank you for sharing some of them with us. I enjoyed seeing China through your eyes! And I have to say you looked absolutely stunning for your photoshoot!! That looked like such a fun experience to share with your boyfriend!
Thank you for your vlog. I miss guangzhou. It’s been 5 years since the last time I’ve been back. Your last part spending time with your grandma is so touching. My grandma passed away during COVID earlier this year and I will never see her again 😢. You definitely should go back and see her more while you can❤
Thank you so much for taking us on the trip with you and sharing your family with us. 🥰 I loved these vlogs. It looks like you guys had an amazing time!
Ohhh I'm so sorry you have to say goodbye to your family again Julia, it's always hard... I know that. At least you were with them to comfort the heart =) Thanks for sharing everything with us. Hope to see my family soon too. I've been in the US for 5 years, I miss them a lot... And the bad part is definitely saying goodbye.
Loved this series so much, Julia. And so lovely to see you in a different environment. Made me cry seeing you leave your Dad. I’m a Daddy’s girl too and my Dad passed away in February, so for me personally, was very touching to see how you cherish him xxx hope you’re not too sad. You’ll be back with your family soon 💕
I can't tell you how much I've been enjoying these videos. Thank you for taking us along and for sharing your special moments with your family. I can only imagine how hard it was for you to leave. 😢
Thank you for sharing your journey throughout China and with your family. The mix of food and culture is dizzying. These last few videos are like pieces of cultural ambassadorship. It makes one want to visit for oneself.
Leaving your family and going is never a great feeling. But this is life and it is difficult and you have been strong throughout the years when you were not able to visit them. And you are gonna visit them again soon

Guangzhou is a group of cities developed by the first people in China's reform and opening up. It is very charming and has rich historical and cultural heritage. Guangzhou also preserves many ancient relics, making it a very charming city.

I know exactly how it feels to leave your family and not get to see them for long periods of time. It’s been almost 3 yrs since I’ve seen my dad, other than FaceTime. 😭 I’m so sorry, Julia, however, I so enjoyed your vlogs from China.
Thank you, Julia, for your message at the end 💜 I get to go home every year and every trip to the airport remains the hardest. Also, is that pochaiyun you ate as medicine?! That’s one of the medicines my family in Singapore made me bring here too 😂😂
Ahhh, Julia. I am on a keto and intermittent fasting lifestyle now so I enjoyed living vicariously through you with all that yummy food! Such an amazing series! It was nice to learn about China through your eyes😊
I know you may have used VPN to post on RUclips from China. Do you mind telling me which VPN you used? I have an upcoming trip to China soon and just want to make sure VPN works because last time ExpressVPN gave me lots of troubles. Also, have you called back US, from China on your non-Chinese mobile phone before? If so, could you please tell me how you dial to US? During my last trip to China, even tho I called AT&T before departing to make sure I would dial correctly back to US, I still could NOT get through the call. So if you had done it successfully, please share your experience to help me. Really appreciate it! 👍👍👍
i really wish i could move to china but as an American, I feel like it would just be too hard… are vpns allowed for things like RUclips and stuff there? I also am not sure about laws and stuff like that… is it a good country to move to?
