The best tactic Ukraine has so far is ambushing Russian equipment when it is traveling to more distant locations. The goal is to disable or capture more weapons than Russia can build or buy. This also makes it easier to capture soldiers with the least amount of harm. Remember; Russian soldiers are victims of Putin's madness too.
Trying to break through fortified positions is costly to both opponents. When on the road, smaller drones can be used to damage vehicles just enough to disable them, with less chance of harming operators.

However, Ukraine is still not allowed to use long range weapons inside Russia. At this point it cannot any longer be because of fear of escalation. So, tell us why? The only red line left is a square. The Red Square.

Yes it is but Ukraine has no chance of keeping Kursk. Nazi Germany tried, they lost a million soldiers there. Napoleon also tried and lost badly. It's easy to invade Russia but keeping the land is impossible.

And Napoleon defeated the Russian army in almost every battle and reached Moscow. But his army stretched its logistics and couldn't survive the Russian winter. The Ukrainians don't have that problem.
