That person would need to be waiting in the wings currently, and well known (either accepted or feared) to the public. I believe authoritarianism and dictatorship need a cult of personality. Kursk incursion faces no local Muscovite resistance because this is a historically and ethnically Ukrainian region called Slobodskaja Ukraina that was occupied by Muscovy since 1918. There are videos from liberated villages with the locals chanting «Slava Ukraině!» and grannies speaking Ukrainian. Sudža, Kureskъ, Ryleskъ, Olgovъ and more are early medieval Severian, Ukrainian towns predating Moskva for centuries.

Sweeney's partly right here. What he doesn't state is that the Ukraine soldiers face 'no local Russian resistance in the region' because there's hardly anyone in the region anyway - it's a very sparsely populated place, with only a few villages dotted around. No doubt that's why this region was chosen, and why Ukraine managed to advance quickly, mostly into mostly empty territory, where they're doing nothing apart from kidnapping whatever Russian civilians they can get their hands on.

It speaks to how extremely depoliticized the populace is. It's a function of many people who live under dictatorships I suppose. It's all about sectioning off the truth and reality from the populace centers that have real political power if they rise up.

I think they would love it if their long silenced voices could really be heard. How could it happen? Could it happen for the Russian populace? Thoughts? Just wondering what other people think.

There was also zero resistance among general population when Russia invaded Ukraine... Civilians in both countries are unarmed and at best they can engage in sabotage, after they're already occupied.

Just been watching independant reports on the kursk incursion and its stating that the Forces involved are Nato forces and they are taking heavy losses in men and armour.
Russia have enough information from captured troops and machinery to back this up.
This individual is stating the opposite.
It will not be long before the true report
Becomes obvious and the fake information is shown for what it is.
As it stands i listen to differing views and let time reveal the truth.

"remove Russia from International banking system".... The US, UK & EU etc... DID shut Russia out of SWIFT. There's only 1 other 'massive' banking action that could be taken. I'm unclear what he's proposing?!
