Will FaZe Clan start to pop off in 2022?!
Oh yes. On paper this team should have no issues in getting kills now that Ropz is in
top 5
@@FiFi03__ there are at least 8 teams that are gonna be in the top 5 of 2022
@@BillEyelash yep very competitive but I think faze should be there.. if not it's a failure
for sure
Hiko mentioned that the biggest clash was S1mple and EliGE because s1mple would use explosive and critical language in unlucky situations whereas Elige would shut down and is mentally defeated already. Now we know why Chokequid was a thing, emotional tilting is one hell of a thing.
Certainly you can do something with toxicity, look at S1mple now how he's even helping b1t constructively and elige is unable to let things out cause he never does. You can fix s1mple's way but with elite there's nothing to fix and ultimately when your best players turns himself off you're gonna loose
@@santosacosta4553 because its a lot easier for someone who is explicitly toxic to recognise the negative impact it causes, whereas Elige might think he is not toxic only because he doesn’t flame his teammates, shooting himself in the foot.
@@Kappatalism good point
@@santosacosta4553 Wasn't that an old problem? Not currently.
Passive aggressiveness has always been more effective at destroying a group than anything else
He's in the number one team now. Just won the major. absolute champ.
My first reaction to Twistzz leaving Luqid was like, "WHAT?! He is the best one there", and then he joined FaZe and karrigan. I was like, "new TOP1" is here. I also won money by betting on FaZe that they would win the whole major just before the major started. I told my friend to do the same. FaZe won; we both won. This major winning was the same in my prediction confidence as the previous one with NAVI.
and again
Stewie was the problem
@@Malibuthe6th grandslam next goal then major in Rio :)
@@po1ntu cringe + NAF is better
Absolutely great interview, both the questions and how you respect his privacy and let twistzz share his point of views. Thanks for the content!
You got to love Twistzz dude his honest about everything and he clearly knows where he wants to be.
Props to him for leaving instead of just ruining his career or just wasting his prime being in a support role while he was the most mechanical skilled player on Liquid.
Oh man, I'm so hyped for Faze with ropz, and given they've had about a month to prepare and integrate him into the roster plus he has worked with karrigan to great success before, I think we could see food showing from them from the start, hopefully :-)
speaking about aiming potential, that's a hell of a squad with Ropz addition. It's gonna be at least an exciting team to watch to, even for those who are not Faze supporters (myself included)
Karrigan and rain are too bad for this top lineup
Rops signed with FaZe? Man this team is mad explosive on paper. Really hope they actualize their potential and put up more convincing fights to the top teams.
@@philosopher-x rain and karrigan are weakness, other guys are demons
you bet right my friend, what a final in katowice
Aged like a FINE WINE.
Very much. but they attained the top 1 team goal way too quick
After this interview I truly realise what everybody ( especially Elige) meant when they said Nitro was like the glue of the team.
Twistzz is an incredible player and he deserves space! I love the decision he made about going to FaZe, cuz he can finally show what he's capable of. Yeah, they had rough start, but I believe this year's gonna be different.
he is streaky and a bit inconsistent (partially due to team not peforming and adjusyting to star role)
now with ropz, another aim star and complete player, i think twistzz will get back his post eleague premier 2018 - end of 2018 form where his worse peformance other than ecs was at pro leauge 1.16 rating and peak was 1.36 at new york, and his average was a 1.19-1.21 rating
I didn't wanna join the Elige hate train like most people nowadays but Idk what to say now. When Simple left, he was a toxic guy so Elige was not the problem. When Taco left, he was underperforming and wanted to go back to Brazil. But now that we have Stewie and Twistzz come out and say the exact same thing, I don't think that there's any doubt as to who's the problem.
Sucks cuz he's an NA goat player. But he just fucks up liquid
So how's the problems now, hihihi, i dont get it, sorry
I think elige IS the star of liquid, but should try to join another org so he can improve more on his game. In liquid it seems like he has the power to make change but he's comfortable and doesn't want to.
@@samseloo4962 his passive-agressive personality are the worst for team environtment .. if im pro i rather have toxic teammates like s1mple back then even its not really better but atleast if he had problem with me or with the team he would said it on your face even it would cause a fight but we would be fine after understanding each other instead shutting down not saying anything make everything just feel awkward.
@@solome6478 he's a part owner now. Won't join another org
Man i wanted a interview with JKS man has went through rough time
since he joined complexity that team didn't been a unit for more than 2 weeks
Throin interviewed him
Would recommend his interview with Thorin (Part 2), really great insight on complexity part of his career.
Anyone would feel sympathetic considering the environment of that team.
jks was dogshit for his entire stint on complexity and was a huge liability. granted he didnt get any of his roles and had to adapt, but he showed hes just a one dimensional player who is decent in his comfort zone and nothing more
Berlin major overrated him alot
jks just won a f-ing katowice
Wow, I’m really starting to like this talk show man. A lot of information that I wasn’t aware of
crazy to think liquid put him into a support role, for his talent he should always have space and freedom
He's super talented in the support role. But he should only support when he's on a star frag team. Any other team that's not liquid he would star frag on
@@samseloo4962 dood he easily could surpass elige if he had the confidence, good enviornemnt and teamates, and the role to do so, but elige takes a big portion of the star roles so twistzz has no way of surpassing him on liquid
@@sh1nenkai258 sadly those are if's, gonna have to see how faze sets up ropz and twistzz
@@dentonkellyjr8095 karrigan is known for utilising his players so i think twistzz and ropz should be fine. also twistzz gets confidence from new teamates as mentinoed in previous interviews
That’s the problem when every player on the team is a “star player”
The last time I was this early Team Liquid were actually competitive.
Great interview. Crazy to think that Twistzz is still only 22 given how long he's been around. Speaks concisely and with maturity. Very interesting to hear that Twistzz say out loud it was him or Elige that had to go. I think Liquid will seriously regret putting all their eggs in Eliges basket.. Adren and Nitro weren't good enough then (by their own admission) and stepped down and that was 2 years ago.. a lot of pressure on oSee to perform.
Way more hyped for Faze. If rain is the weakest star on your team the sky is the limit. Karrigan's weaknesses are trying to do too much for info/positions and gamble calling when the pressure is really on. Now he can trust everyone else to frag and the team is so versatile and explosive at the same time. 2022 is gonna be a great year for neutrals for sure.
I'm pretty sure that the player he has issues with was Stewie as he put Twistzz into the support role which sort of destroyed Twistzz confidence as he'd been an entry fragger up until that point. I could be wrong though feel free to disagree with me.
say out loud? he didn't talk about Elige
I'm pretty sure that was about Stewie... I mean, it's quite obvious he's quite hard to deal with, and things got worse for Twistzz inside the server after Stewie tarted IGLing, and so did for the entire squad as they underperformed during the whole year of 2020...
He definitely said "a player" and didn't name Elige.
I thought it could be Stewie as well, but I will say that idk if the org would've chosen Stew over Twistzz when they had FalleN coming right around the corner. Moses had FalleN practicing with the team before Twistzz even left, although it could be that the conversation he cited between him & the org happened prior to that and the FaZe talks were already in the works, hard to say. It could be Stewie or Elige imo and there's different logic for or against either of them
@@jordz5468 I don't think stew had the option to delegate roles despite being igl. Stew was taking all the bitch roles at this time if you remember.
After Katowice 2022 Twistzz have really left a mark as one of the best players in the scene right now. Incredible aim and starting to pick up gamesense to become one of the best
Put this guy already in the Hall of Fame. Only dude to win 2 Grand Slams when only 4 teams have ever won. Absolute Legend!!!!!
Pretty crazy to watch this interview after the fact. I know a lot of teams don't upload their coms, but Faze's are so clean and positive. Karrigan bossing with his big ass voice is part of it, and the other is that all the players are allowed to give input.
I really respect him as a player and I wish they attain alot of success with the Ropz pickup
Here after they won IEM Katowice and EPL S15. They have really matured into an impressive lineup with him at Faze.
Now a major bro, we fucking did it!!!
@@xxchaseyungxx +1
@@xxchaseyungxx now Iem cologne
If liquid doesn't improve this year then we know who's the problem there. I'm also keeping an eye for EG because there were people said that finally stewie will be on a team who's willing to listen. I kinda also think that EliGE is the real problem for being stubborn and FalleN is having problems IGLing because the team doesn't want to commit or having second thoughts of his calls. We're going to see who's the real problem because clearly FaZe will go up this year so I'm watching EG and Liquid if both teams will rise or one will still sink.
This 👏👏👏, I agree with u
I think elige can still be the star of the team with his aim but I agree, he needs to have a competent mentor or igl to succeed in this era of cs
Agreed
I completely agree, I think every IGL had trouble with Elige. Many people have spoken about his stubbornness and unwillingness to change. Hopefully Nitr0 can do that for him again, maybe he will respect him again but who knows. I wish the best of luck to Stewie and Twistzz
Elige is a bad teammate, this is what ive learned from his teammates. Idc how skilled he is, I would never agree to play with a person like him on my team in any sport
Great series of interviews Sadokist, good to hear your voice again
All I can hear are hard Rs and racing talk
Russel is such a nice guy... I love how at the end of the interview he looks so relieved...
I wanna see an interview about the evolution of his hair. I remember he went into the team as a nerd almost and he slowly got hair that was so nice and tamed it a bit but it still looks awesome. Wonder what was going through his mind during that.
Here after faze wins katowice, antwerp major and now cologne
What truly made the astralis era so epic was their battles with liquid.
pov : they won the major
No 1, triple final with triple trophy back to back one of them is a major. This age like a fine wine
Russ is so Canadian. He gets asked a question and just answers it off the cuff. No sophistry, no bullshit.
Kelowna boy
I hope Twistzz wins the major this year and another grandslam. He deserves it.
You predicted it
you predicted the grandslam aswell :D
Great interview, keep going the good work !
This aged pretty well 2022 Katowice winners 😁
Major winner also 😃
Man as a longtine liquid fan, 2019 was a pipe dream, what an amazing time
Great interviewer and interviewee! We all know Liquid was so stuck in role changing situation. Twistzz/Grim got thrown to support role and got restricted into certain spots in every map, main awper issue after Nitro leaving, Stewie and Fallen's IGL swapping situation and so on. The guy Twistzz was reffering to in my opinion was probably Elige too. Everyone was trying adjusting in game role or issues back then, you won't blame or want to kick a guy who were willing to pick up IGL and play multiple roles in game. Unless it was personal issue, but I doubt it since Twistzz was also struggling his in game role at that period and desired to change his game play to help the team. Now Liquid gets Nitro back so I don't think ego issue will destroying the team again right away.
I am watching this after FaZe have confirmed victories at Katowice, Pro League, PGL Major and Cologne and now it is really true that his skills were restricted in Liquid, and in NA, as a whole. He is really Unleashed in FaZe with EU competition.
And now adding ropz to the roster? Now we are cooking
Okay, so this aged well
And even better now
This aged wvery very well
LOOK AT FAZE TWISTZZ and FAZE LINEUP THEY ARE FUCKIN LEGENDS NOW
faze will be crazy this year with the addition of ropz on their line up
Hmm they will be better….
This year is going to be hype as fuck for CSGO. The roster change just crazy.
Twistzz goal for Faze being #1 in 2022 has been achieved withing the first 4 months
14/06/2022 He made it to number 1
Best Decision
Boy did it.
Left TL to achieve something big.
Won Kato, Won Major, on the way to get his 2nd Grand Slam.
guess what
He is home now. Major winner with his bros.
Honestly, even though they lost to Astralis in the first round of the Starladder major, that second game in Overpass is still to this day probably the most exciting single game of Counter Strike I have ever seen. Final was 16-13, probably one of the closest games of CS I have ever witnessed, not just in Global Offensive but just CS in general. Liquid coming so close to forcing OT, and honestly just having two of the greatest teams in the world (keep in mind the only 2 teams to win the Intel grand slam at that point) battle in the first round fighting for their lives was just incredible to see. And though a lot of people like to blame the loss on them taking a whole one month break before the major therefore resulting in lack of form I wouldn’t have had it any other way cause it gave me the best single game of CS at least I have ever seen.
great to see Sadokist back
What a great guy. One of the best personality in cs-go right now.
This aged so well: Katowice, ESL pro league, Major and IEM Cologne jus half a year later. Great player, great personality!
great interview.
"next year, the goal is number 1"
great interview. russ is really eloquent with the way he phrases things.
The real Cologne 2022 MVP
here after faze won a major, and yeah absolutly, twistz just proved to the world that he is on a defferent level.
Funniest part about this whole story/situation is the Elige now has company shares (part owner, albeit probably not much)
In the top 3 players of 2022 for sure
great stuff
And they won Katowice 👏👍
they made it, #1
This is fucking awesome! Everything we wanted thanks guys keep up the cool content
I helped discover this kid. True story, he was on a trash Premier team when I met him and helped get him over to TSM. After that we all know the story.
with ropz this team is gonna be amazing to watch
Amazing interview
Favourite trio: twistzz, ropz, broky.
Im wondering. What twistzz opinion about astralis picking vertigo that shocked TL on berlin major?
See, Elige was and still is the problem. Not communicating AT ALL is worse then giving critique.

this aged like fine wine
I'm super curious who the teammate at 10:02 is. My gut is between Elige and Stewie, cause I can't see it being Naf, or Nitr0. I'm leaning towards it being Elige, but Nitro not willing to commit to changing the roster due to what Twistzz says at 10:21 "...roster change with 'people' that weren't... well person on the team."
I was wondering the same thing, There could also be the chance that maybe he was mad at grim because as stewie said grim wasn't really what they needed at that time so it could be him? but im not too sure.
@@slooth2695 I don’t believe Grim was ever on the same team as Twistzz though, Fallen came in to replace him, and Grim replaced Nitro if I’m not mistaken
@@Ephr1um nitro was replaced by grim around the middle of 2020 and twistzz left around the end of 2020 or the beginning of 2021.
@@slooth2695 Ahhhh, gotcha. That would make sense. I was thinking it was Naf, Elige, Nitro, Twistzz and Stewie when Twistzz left. I know Stewie had talked about issues w/ Grim as well so…
to me it's obviously stewie, but I could of course be wrong.. lot of ppl in comments think it's elige
Commenting for algorithm, but a genuinely good interview!
And they actually won in 2022! Working hard pays off!
This is quality content.
twistzz seems like such a nice person
The dynamic duo ♥️🇨🇦🍁
Its king like everybody say. Its hard to work with the stubborn ELIGE
coL Twistzz?!?!? Sheeesh, love Jason Lake, that would have been sick! But it worked out and am happy for Twistzz
Still dont know where is he buy his glass😩
You can't discount elige as an in-game talent, but I very strongly believe that it would be a nightmare to be around him. You don't necessarily need to have access to in-game comms to realise how toxic of a teammate he is and how badly that shit affects people around him.
Bro that's what I've been saying for like a year and a half now. You can just watch him "shutdown" anytime he hits a wall. His skill can't make up for him choking any elimination game that is mildly difficult
@@jacktheforeheadblaster7910 he kinda reminds me of a faze niko in 2017-2020 or whenever he left. Dude used to just get tilted after a single little thing and I can imagine the team motivation going down. He’s still extremely skilled.
That’s probably true, but for the record, Twistzz was talking about stew in the ultimatum that saw him leave TL

Twistzz interviews are always super insightful. Helps to have a friendly face interviewing too
You forgot this is post prime twistzz, the real twistzz would be chewing gum rn.
his hair tho :0
Faze top 1 2022! Fazeup! Welcome ropz. And first game for faze will be vs team liquid 😉😅
Who did Twistzz most likely want gone?
General consensus is that it was Elige or Stewie. I really couldn't tell you which though. On the one hand, a lot of people think it's Elige, because it's unclear why the org would choose Stewie over Twistzz, on the other, my god I cannot imagine actually having to work with Stew.
I wonder what would happen if his demands were met
That is the issue when he played for TeamLiquid, that roster was stacked with superstar talent. At Faze, Twistzz gets to be the lone star player (maybe shared with Ropz when he comes in).
Talent stacking is not the problem. It's ego stacking.
So you're saving NaVi has a problem because they have three "superstar talents"?
No, it's because egotistical Liquid players had and have shitty personalities. Obviously I'm not talking about the whole roster
Goat
