"A puzzle brain" like how "mystery boxes" worked so well
too soon 🥲
“We have such sights to show you…”
To me, the Sith are the villains and do heinous things because they are bad. The Jedi are "keepers of the peace". Nuff said.
It doesn’t matter whether a person had read and watched everything in an IP, it matters whether they understand what they watched/read. We have plenty of examples out there of people claiming solid knowledge of an IP and then justifying utter travesties (Rings of Power, Wheel of Time, etc.).
I wish, as a Star Wars fan, I didn't have to be afraid of every new series Disney comes out destroying something I love. That's not how you treat fans. You don't make them nervous anxious followers of a franchise for your own agenda. It's super annoying. Hoping the best for the show though
It's actually very sad. But tbh sw is dead. George sold it to the sith. The end. We'll always have those original movies and the message they shared and that's enough for me. May for the foce be with you 🙌🏿💜
I want to feel excitement, not worry when stuff comes out. With all of these projects right now, I feel worry.
Probably not going to watch it… There is nothing compelling about it that I heard so far…
I'm just curious about The Acolyte. No, real excitement. I'm just trying to figure out why Furiosa exists.
Thursday in Norwegian is literally Thor's Day (Torsdag)
Headland is a lore expert... Color me doubtful. I would love to be shocked that it magically weaves through lore in a way that makes sense.
Every promo still looks like a set and cosplay.
It will be garbage. Nothing more.
Haha, I think less people will be watching the Acolyte rather than just watching your reviews. 😅
✋️
Big Moo
“Leslie headland is a Star Wars fan” lolololooolooooololllololololol gtfo
I have been waiting for this show for years, and I was fairly excited, now, I don't know...
I hate the "rashomon" idea , If they are hedging their bets in by not giving a definitive answer to anything, they are probably banking on the "certain point of you" shtick to please everyone.
OSHA will have her vengeance! Well done Disney-.
only two seasons?
even if it sucks, I wish they’d give it three seasons to tell its complete story… like a trilogy… a _Star Wars trilogy._
I think what will make the most difference to me is how likable an/or compelling the characters are, whether they're sanctimonious vessels for some ideology or ego trip or not. I can take poorly executed story to a high degree if there's good and interesting world building, and I can ignore some poor or nonsensical world building if the story is good, such as in the Mandalorian with the mystification of the Mandalorians and the helmet rule and such. But if I can't stand a character, as was the case with Holdo or even Luke in 'The Last Jedi', nothing can salvage it - and Leslye Headland, the showrunner, seems the type that could write that sort of pathetic and/or infuriating character, though I admittedly haven't seen her work to say whether she's prone to that sort of writing or not.
Otherwise, who knows, if they put as much effort into the action as they seem to be saying, maybe that will make it watchable regardless of the story and world building. I'm still reserving judgment, but also still not particularly optimistic.
I'm so tired about hearing about this show. I could not care about a show less and now see how the news has been repetitive. No hate towards the channel, just this show and its related news 🙄🙄😒😒
I’m really hoping this is good, it will be a massive win for Star Wars if it can successfully move to a new time period while maintaining the quality Star Wars requires, a high bar though, two weeks to go until we see.
April fools was more than a month ago
@@KRobinson-ko1ne lol, true
My biggest concern is the army of negative nancys who sway hordes of people to go into watching something for the first time with a preconceived criticism against it.
I was guilty of jumping on this bandwagon a few years ago, but hearing all of the bad publicity about ‘Solo’ and going in with low expectations only to end up loving the film enough to go buy a few figures after I saw it in theaters…
I’ve since learned to make the assessment myself and not get swept up in all of the pre-release hating.
As a content creator, I’m sure it’s a huge struggle to walk the line of being skeptical, but also not drawing people away from a subject.
Thor, I think you do a great job and really respect all the work you and Naboo have put in these last 5 years.
Keep up the good work!
Disney’s mismanagement combined with the employers' contempt for the community is more than justified.
And here i was wondering if HK-47 has snuffed MEME Monday.
Get better Naboo, allergies suck.
Thanks for thinking my camping against Thor would be so effective but the nuke hasn’t been fired yet.
@@Lord-Emperor-Vader Nukes are too messy anyway, besides the fallout would make Naboo's allergies worse and also we don't want Godzilla flame sneezes, do we?
How am I here in under 30 seconds?
It is your destiny.
So didn't Star Wars just show that Mae has a sister that's the one the Jedi trained?
But we already know it's twins. So what's the mystery, I guess it's who's the master.
Aw, poor dark siders. They're just misunderstood, right?
Sorry I'm not watching videos \ watching for very long... just not interested in this show
I really wish I had one iota of interest in this show, but it looks like just more of the same old dog shit they have been shoveling. All roads lead to the sequels and for that, Disney can eat shit.
This show sounds like it's trying to be like 10 different things. Each of those things individually could be awesome for Star Wars, but trying to be all things at once will probably not be a recipe for success.
It’s totally new, so we should be open minded, man I didn’t enjoy the Mandalorian until the Original Bounty Hunter in Mandalorian Armour was teased then turned up.
In regards to The Acolyte, I have an overwhelming sense of...meh.
Thor’s next fan fiction??? Not expecting that any time soon lol
(just joking but also not really)
Couldn’t be less excited for The Acolyte…might watch it, we’ll see. Been burned too many times
...well, no Meme Monday, but we got...
《The Itchy Thor & Scratchy Naboo Show》
👽 🖖 🤖
I watch these videos because I like the Skywalkers but gosh, I really cannot make myself care about The Acolyte even a little.
The premise could have so much potential too, if only it was done by someone who knew jack sh*t anything about SW canon.
I will not hold anything against you or Naboo for getting to see the Acolyte, but the damage had already been done for Miss Headland, so I will not see it along with the booby trap that is Disney+.
I'm tentatively looking forward, I'm not expecting much from all the things I've heard about it so maybe I'll be pleasantly surprised, if not oh well never mind I can go watch Andor again
You need to watch a real Star Wars experience. That one show isn't going to save it because it's still a virtue signaling nonsense.
Jedi Law & Order: SVU (Sith Victims Unit).
But it actually makes the Sith out to be the victims of the Jedi male-centric maleocracy.
(donk donk)
Waitwaitwaitwaitwait. Two seasons?
From one wisconsinite to another, i too blame canada
Are you guys getting hit with wildfire smoke yet? We had a dang dust storm warning today down here in the middle of Illinois. That was never a thing until last year.
I'm still not sure about the Acolyte. I'll watch it and hope for the best.
None of these Jedi or characters can be around by the sequels at all. As they aren’t in the next 9 movies, series, books, and comics.
Well, besides Yoda and Yaddle.
And probably some others I'm not aware of at the moment.🙏
Maybe Yoda or Yaddle? I'm not sure how long the Episode 1 Masters have been alive and/or privy to the events of the Acolyte.
@@Loki_Yogibeat me to it!😅
This might actually be the first time where I’m genuinely not very excited for a Star Wars show.. unfortunately
I’ll be waiting for the reviews, with one finger at the ready on the “Disney+ unsubscribe” button
Good God why are you still funding the desecration of Star War's dead corpse?!
1900 views and 220 up votes after 13 hrs. Dayum. There is NO interest in this slop. 😆
I really hope it's good since it looks pretty interesting. Could also mean that we get to explore more eras in the future (Old Republic when? 🙏).
Vader hall seen in Rogue One was incredible. One can dream
Except for the fact that it broke Vader's entire lore seeing him move around like an acrobatic Maul in space armor and then immediately after he's a stiff cyborg facing off against Kenobi. 🙄
@@rector0455 fuck are you talking about? He literally just walked and killed people with the force and his lightsaber. No acrobatics whatsoever
@@bluemoondm8629 He's supposed to be a stiff cyborg wearing restrictive armor, that's the explanation for why he fights like he does in the OT when previously Anakin was a very acrobatic fighter.
That scene in Rogue One sh*tcans all of that for 12 seconds of jangly keys to dangle in front of the mouth breathers.
Who cares if ANH picks up just hours or days later? Don't ask questions just consoom product! 🤤
@@rector0455 He WALKS. There are literally no "acrobatics" involved at all. He moves in a straight line, slowly. wtf
@@bluemoondm8629 His range of motion is much too high, he's bending, twisting around, that's not how Vader moves at all. He's very restricted by the suit.
And then there's that scene were he reacts like a catty school girl when his underling imp officer is openly insubordinate and sarcastically apologized to him rather than, you know, gutting him on the spot as Vader actually would.
Rogue One is overrated AF. It might be the best Disney Slop Wars movie, but it's still Slop Wars and it's mid at best.
I was one to not care about this show. But this show can do so much. And even tho I may not like the director choice ima give her a chance for sure. Yoda and Mace could have very well kept a secret from the rest of the council in the prequels. How did Yoda know the rule of two? Last time sith was around, there were hundreds, now they magically have knowledge that they rule as 2? At the time it may have made sense until legends and Canon books came out describing the past as different than the prequel era, leaving plotholes.
The fact this dark force user is wearing a suit likened to the knights of Ren is a good opportunity to connect the sequels as well. Kylo was never a sith and neither was snoke.
I'm interested as to what they will do. And I hope they succeed and prove many wrong because I want more high and old republic Era projects
I stick to th3 Old Republic, the high republic is so pretentious.
The Jedi learn about the Rule of Two in the Darth Bane trilogy.
The more I hear about this show from the people making it, the more underwhelmed I am.
I can’t wait to see Yoda!
The thing I can’t wait to see is Yarriel Poof from Robot Chicken since that is what his personality is in the Living Force book (I have no idea about the High Republic books)
Maybe he'll come into the scene and sit on a chair OMGZ THAT WOULD BE AMAZEBALLS 🤤 🐷
