Cleaning and conservation of a park-used Disneyland Jungle Cruise prop piranha using non-solvent based methods to remove layers of pond scum and grime.
Yeah man, it makes sense that it was made from such a durable material with how much use it got. You never really get to see all that detail on the ride, the glitter really shines when it's clean.
Really cool video. Would like to see more restorations
Hoping to post more of that kind of video in 2022 :) Got a few items in my collection waiting for their turn on the workbench.
Great video! I never would have thought of using UV light to check the painted areas. Very clever!
It's a handy tool for investigating paint layers and crime scenes.
Very cool!
Awesome to watch this process, and on such a cool prop. Thanks for sharing🤘🏻🐟🩸🌊
Thanks for checking it out. Pretty different from some of my fast paced processes but it's good to mix things up every now and then.
Finally watching this. Very cool! It's fun to see how these things are really made.

Wait.. the piranha on the Jungle Cruise aren’t real? 🙈. Great video, love the prop.
Sadly no, these are not real but surprisingly the giant butterflies are 100% real, they just really like that spot so they haven't moved in 50 years.
What a fun a fascinating watch!
Thanks, seeing the colors so bright again after hiding under all that muck was amazing.
