What confuses me about the jungle cruise is that it's supposed to be inspired by south America but has a ton of animals that don't occur in south America.
Well, the idea of a river cruise came from there. But there are different sections of the world throughout the cruise. True Life Adventures were nature documentaries, so it actually makes a lot of sense.
You travel through different rivers from around the globe, not just South America. Most of the riverboat captains mention the different river names in their spiel.
I don't really see how it's grim I mean my when I went on the ride with my three year old brother he saw that scene, turned to grab my hand and said "look lions eated the zebra" my reply was a simple "Yeah lions eat meat so they have to hunt." If a three year old didn't find your quote on quote sleeping zebra grimm then I think any aged child can handle it. (BTW I'm not trying to be rude but you know how comments can sound. I'm just saying I really don't think lions eating their natural diet is too grim for kids but that's just my opinion)
It’s there right now! My family and I visited Disney world 2 weeks ago and the boat lady even cracked a joke about how the lions have dibs on the white or the black parts😂
I lived next to a country park on Scotland. They had a mini zoo/ animal sanctuary. They had this fake tree and there was a bit to look into it. Well there was a huge fake piranha in the tree and yeah it was terrifying but I only have great memories. I would argue that children need fear. Like don’t fucking scar them but just a light scare
If I saw a lion looking back at me from looking through a fence as a kid or as my age now, I would break down crying and never go back cause that’s terrifying.
Jeez can't shelter your kids from reality forever I grew up with great nature documentaries and couldn't imagine letting my child believe in some fairy tale of a world
2 weeks ago my family and I visited Disney world for our 10th time and the posted wait time for the jungle cruise was 40 minutes. After the 40 minutes passed and we were still only halfway in the line I used the timer on my phone and the total wait time was actually 115 minutes! When we finally got to board the boat the a**hole cast member sat us on the seats that are also the stairs for the boat. It’s the only part of the boat that doesn’t have the tarp over it. So after standing in line sweating our a** off for 2 hours we have to ride the boat in direct sunlight AND the “seats” were so hot from sun exposure my mom got 1st degree burns on the underside of her thighs. When the nightmare of that attraction was over I went to step onto the pier and the cast member “accidentally” touched the throttle and I fell head first onto the dock. I caught myself with one arm but still slammed my head and chest into the dock. There were 5 or 6 cast members standing a few feet away just looking at me and didn’t offer to help whatsoever. It’s the only time in the entire 10 years we’ve been truly mistreated and it was really disheartening. I’ll still go back to Disney world but if you ever ride the jungle cruise demand to wait for the next boat, don’t let them sit you on those freaking stairs with no canopy cover. They’re going to get sued if what happened to me happens to an elderly or middle aged person.
I’m sorry you had that experience. I’m surprised a CM wasn’t there at the doorway though to catch you, I can’t remember a single ride I’ve ever take on Jungle Cruise that a CM wasn’t standing there ready to help if needed. I also recommend using Touring Plans for a more accurate wait time… Disney sometimes manipulates their wait times for crowd control.
Why are they lieing to kids? Tell them they are eating the zebra! It's something we need to teach kids early on. That (as the lion king drills into your head) it's the circle of life!
I hate the jungle cruise!! they never balance the boats correctly!! I will sit so close to the water and even if its shallow there is mechanical things and its scary to even put my hand in it!
@@thequeenofsnakes5225 Usually yes, but parents are kinda idiots and their kids just dunk their hands in when they arent looking, i used to do it with fountains at like a mall

Its from the theme the jungle cruise in the movie thet had these animals
Its good the Zebra is only sleeping. I was worried.
I wish they were back to Lions scene eating the a zebra
I doubt they will ever return that one. It’s pretty grim, even if accurate 😬

I agree with you , why shield children from everyday live and nature .

This is really interesting! The last one sounds really cool, I wish that was actually in the parks!
I LOVE THISSS!!
🥰🥰

When I was a kid I thought the animals were real😂
In the design they were but Walt realized how many ways that could go wrong :’) DIDNT WE ALL-? Just means well made tbh
I thought the animals were just well behaved because they were in Disney 😭😂
Sleeping Zebra...... Um...... Okay 🙃👍
Jeez can't shelter your kids from reality forever

they could've just said the lions are assembling their zebra. smh, no imagination
Um... is the fence thing true??? I would pee myself...
I started going to Disney land around 1965 so I remember the jungle ride
That’s awesome!

My great grandpa actually wrote one of the scripts for the jungle Cruise :) i'll always have a soft spot for it
I love that! We did 2 whole podcast episodes on the history of the scripts recently (Distory with Kate & Kirk podcast)
Sleeping zebra lol, nice 😴 👌
😉
Nature is too violent I guess.
*sleeping* yeah right
It's a dirt nap!

If you go by that logic the Jungle Cruise skippers lie about a lot of things 😂

Well, you shouldn't be putting your hands in the water anyways?
