Will be using this technique for sure! And why can’t all youtube tutorials be this good!
Thanks! I watch so many tutorials on RUclips myself so I tried to make what I would want to watch. I'm glad you enjoyed it and hope it works for you if you try the Cabosil.
awesome!
Nice Video! For all not having that "powdered glass" thing.. You can use BabyPowder might aswell to make the resin sticky. :)
Props to you Walter.
Nice tip, do you have any issues with the baby powder affecting the cure time of the resin since it adds opacity?
Great video. Looking forward to watching the rest of your content. Sub'd.
Quick question; suppose I want a print to come out with a perfectly glassy smooth finish. Can I just paint on some unthickened resin and cure it? Might that also be a quick way to bury the print texture?
Could you explain how you got the 3d prints so smoothe and without visible layer lines? I can't seem to find a definitive method for doing so.
This is a resin 3D print with a layer height of .45, then I sand it down. The orientation of the print will also help to minimize layer height when viewed at certain angles.
@@waltersworx thanks for your answer. I am working with a rather large multi-sectioned pla print. Would you happen to have and tips for sanding and filling that?
@@alexl6644 sorry, I don't have as much experience with pla printing and it depends on the type of plastic you are using. I know some types of plastic smooth well using an acetone vapor treatment but you will want to research that thoroughly to make sure what you have will work with it.
