  • Tomorrow, And Tomorrow, And Tomorrow by Gabrielle Zevin is a journey through the creative lives of hopeful and romantic, yet damaged young artists during the boom of the video games industry in the 1990s. Amazing.

I just finished this book and immediately searched RUclips for a review that could put into words how I felt. So thankful I found exactly that in this video and I can’t wait to watch more of your reviews!

It really seem to be the exceptional book of the year, cutting across genre interests, age, social backgrounds, race and any other factors one can think of to be embraced widely as a beloved book. Only now am I realizing about the 90s connection as a read Klosterman’s The 90s about the same time. For the non gamer the feeling of the era was more subtle, but now I see how well she integrated it. To me, and I know this opens me up to a lot of grief, I feel the book has an affinity with A Little Life. It’s closer to a third of it, has three friends as the focus and the trauma porn is dialed down to about one fourth, but I think those who did love A Little Life would also like this close, but complicated arc of friendship over decades.

Ooooh this book is so buzzy, yet you're convincing me,Will.... I'm a classic reads kinda gal, but I have also just read The Rabbit Hutch by Tess Gunty and it's a revelation to me, a really really good contemporary book, and it's her debut, I really loved it! You should give it a read, I would really love to know what you think of it.

I'm someone who grew up in the era of playing video games by going to an arcade and plugging a quarter into a big bulky machine to get my Ms. Pacman and Space Invaders fix. I have this book, but I've been hesitant to read it because I can't relate to more 'modern day' video games. Is this a huge mistake? Should I still read it? Love Gabrielle Zevin's AJ Fikry book.

I often wonder what my level 80 troll mage is thinking since I abandoned her in WoW after playing for 15 hours a day for years 😂 poor girl. Next year you’re going to have to film your favourites of the year on December 31st at like 8pm just to be safe.
