Im 42 years old starting a New career. Thanks for your simple, thorough lessons. PLEASE keep them coming. Im too old for 8 to 10 hours of mindless manual labor, day in and day out!

If you for some reason must deburr a line that is facing up can you put something in the pipe that you can remove after you deburr?

Yeah, you can just wad up some bread and stuff it in there. 😅😁🤦🏼‍♂️Just kidding, good question, I'm curious too.

@@Knight805 I was thinking chewing gum then just fire up the compressor for a sec to blow it out. :/

I doubt it, but i'd like to hear if there is a way. Goodman air handlers I got to deburr or reem out the copper on the coil but I can usually face the copper downwards

Thanks for sharing Your knowledge, lm curious though do you still go in the field for installs and service or are you the wealth of knowledge just there for dial a genius.

I’m a business owner. I still have a service van but I don’t run many calls anymore.

What is the ultimate location for the exterior unit for best performance and does performance change with the length of the line set ?

    • @f1reguy587

Ultimate location, not so much... but considerations for a non direct high heat subjected area for the outdoor unit, with adequate airflow and not excessively damp for long periods, you don’t want dirt turning to mud on any of the condenser surface area or the fans becoming imbalanced, and in summer the Heat on the condenser is less desirable for the condensing efficiency, on the extreme days your unit may even fault out on high pressure, depending on the flight of the gas and the systems settings (well before the relief valve kicks in,however).
The other minor consideration is that once the refrigerant has left the condenser, it is expelling heat and expanding, so it’s not ideal to go too far with your liquid line. But the install instructions on smaller split units here say system max of 30m (in one direction) but you of course have to weigh in extra refrigerant to do this, however I’d be looking for other options for the unit to be located at 15 metres. Less on a 2 storey home.
