Yea it does make it a lot quieter then it does in real life but it does make it quieter in real life though

Dude is focusing on the wrong stuff, there are zombies, ZOMBIES, why do you care about the realism of a bottle, when you shouldn’t be worrying about them at, worry about the fact that if you punch a gas station, it explodes, and that you can eat like, 8 bear steaks in one day

@@dropbearoff-road1516 I think it's just details, maybe it's a symbol or badge of PD in different state (I never play DayZ but I guess from him saying "You can found this rifle from Police Station and Police car wrecks)

One thing I wish they kept from the real life version was the ability to have the magazine in a halfway position, where it’s secured into the gun but it requires you to individually load bullets. The design was so that you could fire individual shots when you need to but you could fully load the magazine in when you needed to fire rapidly.
That'd be pretty hard to implement but by god that would be an amazing feature to have
Or even better they could've made it to where you can store an extra magazine in the stock like the real one because you can already individually load a single round into the pioneer

doesn’t matter in game you can chamber each round even with a full mag anyway
This is absolutely my favorite gun for how versatile it is and how customizable, lightweight, and great ammo eco. It's been a staple of my loadout since it was released! Only thing to replace it would be a Ebr-14 with an actual military sniper scope along with it.
Why do you need a “actual military scope” you realize most of the optics are beat tf up and been dropped so many times. A lot of the times they buy the cheapest shit in the biggest bulk 😂. You could go buy a better scope lol.
@trevoredwards9344 what I mean is I want a military equivalent like the Russian sights since they have distance aiming bult in the optic and are very changeable as for thr Scout, you only have the 4 by 68 acog which isn't bad but I would like something like a hunter scope with those same features

I used to own a gun pretty similar to this one but it was in ww2 and had the barrel cut down and shoved on the outside of the rest of the barrel and it was chambered in 308 and man i absolutely was a hell of a shot with it never missed until a few years of use and it would never hit a target again the rounds would travel in different directions with every shot. I miss it

Don’t it’s quite boring and hope u don’t mind eating people because food is hard to come by in dayz and hope you like finding most simple stuff for hours unless u are on modded servers then have fun

I lost a shoot out with a player and within 30 min of re spawning on the beach I had white food/water, a water bottle, a worn Mlock with silencer, 2 full clips, a box of 9mm, a 122 shotgun and a box of ammo.
Gotta stop hanging around the spawn area and head inward. All on Official.

The pioneer is one of my favorites. Although it is more rare than I think it should be.
I like it for the wide selection of optics it has. But my main reason I love this sniper is that it takes the standardized suppressor. I find quite a few of those before I find an M4 or AUR, and having a gun to attach it to saves vital backpack space.
I also like it for the rarity.
I Always Liked The Pioneer Because It Reminded Me Of My Steyr Scout That I Own In Real Life. Never Knew It Was Actually Based On The Steyr Scout!
I have never found a pioneer in a police station though. Pretty sure they only spawn in police cars 😅

Dunno if they changed it or not, but so far it had the highest armor penetration value of all guns in DayZ.
Not armor penetrating but great for wall penetration cause of high bullet velocity

Steyr: when you want both a tractor and a firearm
The main niche of the pioneer is its stealth, suppressed it's insanely quite, great for picking off zombies and shooting at players who will struggle to know where the shots are coming from. The problem is to do this you need a suppressor only found in static gas zones, by which time you will have moved on to more powerful weapons.
Many even lightly modded servers fix this problem by giving a small chance for pioneers to spawn with a suppressor attached, and allowing suppressors to spawn rarely in places other than static gas. Imo static gas exclusive spawns hurt the game, the stuff in them should also spawn elsewhere, just very rarely.
Like you said, it's a great gun with a good scope and suppressor. But you probably already have something better before you have found the gun, mag, scope, suppressor and bullets. I actually had my best kill streak with this gun {44}. But i actually took the complete decked out gun from a body. There was a huge fight going on in Severo. And i was hiding in one of the buildings picking off people silently from the window. They had no idea where the shots were coming from. It's a great stealth weapon.
It's my favorite early game gun. Good at a distance but small enough to plug someone in a doorway.

I learned to love this gun on deathmatch servers, with suppresser and an acog it's really stealthy
Tbh I think it's the most quiet surprised rifle in game but if you're going up against someone really well armed and armored it's a no go need that good old fashioned 308 or 7.62 by 54r

I’ve literally still never seen, heard, or otherwise have had this gun’s existence proven to me in like 200 hours of DayZ.
Fyi, the police (not prison) version of the gun seems to just not spawn at police stations, only wrecks. At least that is my experience in the wayyy too many hours I have racked up since it was added.
There is actually a feature of the Steyr Scout that I observe not being in the game. And that is a spare amgazine in the stock of the rifle that can be used to reload if the original mag is empty...

I like the Pioneer myself personally lol, without a doubt the most Silent Rifle in the game with a suppressor on. Doesn't hit as hard as the other Sniper Rifles do but it can still hold its own in the right hands lol. Wished they made it more plentiful is all and only reason I would like to see that happen is because it is so fun to use 👍🏻
I tried killing a bear with one of these ones. Ended up being chased around the trunk of a thick tree for 20 minutes trying to survive long enough for the server reset to save me. The bear caught up to me maybe 2 minutes before the server reset
For those wondering, you can only find the pioneer at police wreck events, they're easier and more higher powered weapons you can find before you get your hands on this weapon and it's magazines

Really love your vids, never cheated with online games(only offline ones) and i gotta say this is enjoyable to watch
The good is a niche weapon that gets outclassed by visiting any tier 2 or hunting camp
The game doesn't even highlight one of the Scout's coolest features: the handguard folds out and becomes an integrated bipod.
I see all these gun videos for the game and I’ve only ever found the same basic pistols, the shotguns, and like 3 different rifles 😢

Didn’t know you could put the night vision scope on. Actually makes it one of the only two snipers you can do that with. Might have to give it another go.
No matter how realistic a game is, they will always think suppressors always make any gun instantly quiet.

What it carries in accuracy, it lacks in efficiency. It's damage rating seems to be about as affective as tossing rocks at players

Only with headshots. Its actually one of the worst snipers in terms of ranged damage because of the 5.56 rounds
Advice with pionner. If you are good with headshots, its a fun little weapon, put on 4x and silencer to pick off players in their base. I always pick 4x over 6x as i find the crosshair way more accurate. Ive actually held my own with it in outmanned pvp situations

Me personally I always liked the pioneer but I didn't like having a m4 and pioneer since they shared ammo so I went with a m4 and for the sniper I used a cr550 savanna with 308 rounds

Head shotted a guy from about 400m away while he was sprinting across a bridge and it was my first long headshot in dayz. I used the pioneer and hunting scope

Had my first kill ever in DayZ with this beauty ❤ so yeah it’s a cool and reliable gun in most situations
I only wish that because it's a 556 that they would have made it a 10-round
This is my favorite real world rifle because as the name implies, it would be a fantastic rifle to have as a pioneer because it's very light and versatile, all the while accepting common ammunition.
It would be a /little/ too expensive for an actual pioneer though. Much more expensive than your great-granddaddy's muzzle loader or coach gun.
