Holy shit I went for an interview without realizing what CSA does.. but I winged it and managed to get to the second round of an interview and I felt so lost and finally stumbled across your channel and I cannot be more relieved. I still feel there's a lot to research on this role and tailor and brush up my story telling of experiences but this has been a massive help.!! Thank you and I will update when I rock that interview! update 29 June 2022, got the job!!!
Hello! I landed a CSA role in a great company, your videos definitely gave me an idea on how to best tackle the interview questions! Thank you, I hope continue uploading amazing content :)
These questions are SPOT ON! I am undergoing the interview process and the hiring manager (interview 2) asked me about half of those questions. Thank you so much Diana - you’ve boosted my confidence during interviewing bc I feel so prepared.
I came across your videos on tiktok and got hooked. been looking for something that related to the goals of work ive had in life and this has emulated exponentially. thank you for your videos and help
I’ve interviewed 4 times as a CSA with the same company. I’ve spent the last 9 years implementing software solutions to some of the biggest Northern American companies. I’ve seen growth. I’ve been in the trenches with some since day 1. Each time I’ve gotten rejected it’s been a different excuse. It’s frustrating as I don’t know what I’m doing wrong with my current role or saying in a 30 minute interview.
Such great insight! I’m currently a technical support engineer and working to make an internal move to a CSM role. Do you have any advice for internal candidates looking to go into the role? I’ve definitely networked, reached out to the hiring manager and my Chief of Customer Experience, talked to and shadowed my friends that are CSMs, and currently tailoring my resume to show that I have the experience. Being a TSE, I handle customer escalations alongside the CSMs, and have customer calls. I’m working on practicing the presentation and have become knowledgeable on aspects that the TSE don’t have versus the CSM. Going into this role I know I’ll be more positioned as Technical CSM but we don’t have them yet on paper. Could you also share advice on negotiating as I intend to do so due to my background.
Hey, I just found you today and I've gotta say your channel is a treasure for me! However, there is no way I can find any content about customer success associate. I think it would be very important for people like me who doesn't have any experience in CS yet and want to land on this field through a CS associate position. Please tell us what more about this position, how to prepare this kind of interview etc. Thank you so much for what you are doing, I really love your content.
It's the first time I hear csm exist. But somehow one csm company contacted me and offered me a position. I have no experience and I don't even know if it's even worth to try that interview because I feel that I lack a lot of skills and confidence
Could you please tick the correct ans? If you don't think you'll be able to finish a task by the deadline set by your team leader, which of the following would be the best approach? • Continue to work on it and ask for a deadline extension • Submit what you've got by the deadline, even if it's incomplete • Make an excuse and blame your poor working conditions for preventing you from completing the task on time • Reach out to your team leader and everyone who's involved in your task to find a solution together You are put in charge of an important project and find that some team members refuse to give their cooperation. How do you deal with the situation? (YOU CAN SELECT MORE THAN 1 ANSWER) • Immediately lodge a formal complaint with HR to get the problem resolved • Try to find creative solutions to get them excited about participating in the project • Speak to your supervisor and ask them to assist you in dealing with the matter • Ignore the disruptive team members and only work with those who want to cooperate
I would love to know your thoughts on an Account Executive with 1 year of experience moving into a CSM role. I have exceeded quota and the number 1 performer in a division of 60. I find my true passion and talent lays in retention and managing relationships. My biggest concern is that 1 year of experience is not enough to transition into this role, even with proven success. This is also my first real job out of college. I worry that I lack the experience and work history to land a CSM role, and especially one that exceeds my current base pay + commission. Any thoughts on this? Much appreciated.
Hey Byrd, it's been awhile since you posted...but I definitely think your Accounts experience has given you a plethora of transferrable experience and skills to transition successfully into a CSM role. Really highlight those fantastic achievements, you should be golden :)
Why would you ever mention having children at an interview? It's none of their business. It's even illegal for employers to ask about it in Europe because it leads to discrimination.
