Have a new account here. This was a great truck. Brakes sucked but the engine was absolutely incredible. Small looking truck that could haul a ton of weight. The engine ran crystal clear oil with 362k miles, would do 65mph all day. Transmission was fine but a little sloppy in the shift, guessing bushings. Honest truck built really well and that diesel was just amazingly well engineered. Would love to get my hands on a better kept UD. Hard to find in the states these days, hope this one is still chugging... with new brakes i hope ❤
@@The_diffman should have told me you were looking for one lol i just sold my 1993 to folks from Guatemala who drove it down there it had 41 k original miles and original ac worked lol was a USAF truck then sold to a police station then to me super quiet in cab and still smelled new
Sold it a while ago But top speed was probably 70 or so. Great motor. No cruise, yes a/c. Was a really reliable truck. Simple to work on. Parts are hard to find in the US though.
@@morganevans1837 how loud/unbearable is the cabin noise? is it comfterable sitting in it for a few hours? any idea what kind of mpg to expect on the highway? thanks so much , going to pick one up that I bought sight unseen over a thousand miles away lol
@@SolHersh It's pretty good in the cabin actually. Mine had rusted floors but wasn't too bad. Seats are good, honestly never took it on the road for more than 2 hours at a time really. MPG i'm guessing around 12. I really loved that truck, it could haul a ton but didn't look or feel big. It never puffed smoke on a cold start and oil always looked brand new. Brakes were touchy on mine and finding third gear was a bit of a challenge. You'll probably like how maneuverable it is and from what I heard, a lot more power than the Isuzu. Should be an entertaining trip I'm sure!
@@morganevans1837 thanks for all the insight, mine has only 40k miles but it states on. Asticker that the final drive ratio is 6.5 which is super high so I hope she'll do good at highway speeds

@Sol H absolutely, pretty rare truck. 40k that's incredible. I'm sure it will get up to 70 on the flat which is better than a an Isuzu. Enjoy it!
