Those vipers sits idle for 8 months in a year when there is no rain. When it becomes dark it just take to click a button to start headlights. Both are useful features, auto headlights helps when you drive through basement parking, tunnel etc. People forget switching on headlamps on well lit road, auto function helps. Rain sensing wipers are good because you dont need to adjust the speed to wipers manually, it senses the intensity of rain and increase decrease wiper speed automatically.

After looking at punch and altroz varients segregation, what I feel as a Nexon XM owner there should be Nexon XM with Rhythm pack (touch screen, rear parking camara, fog lamps) with additional cost of 35k this will be helps many Nexon XM buyers to not go to after market...

Seating (high position, seat has more width than magnite) and Comfort is good in punch. Also it has good stearing stability. While closing the door , you feel which is punch and which is magnite.👊

The Magnite with all the "extra safety features" scored a 4/5 in the Asean NCAP ratings while the Punch with "lesser safety features" scored a 5/5 in Global NCAP ratings. Says something for the car, doesn't it. Even when you pay extra for the JBL speakers, they are not as good as the Harmann system in the Punch. Speaking of features, Traction Pro feature in the Punch gives it a distinct edge in off-roading. Also why are you comparing the turbo version with the NA one in the Punch? Tata will be launching the turbo in the future, so that would be a fair comparison. The automatic variant is available in the Magnite only in the turbo version which costs more than that of the Punch. The connectivity features in the IRA package in Punch are not available in the Magnite. Not to pick an argument, but your review sounded too biased to me.

TATA got carried away by the positive vibes of punch... TATA just presented its business to its competitors as a gift with high pricing for top 2 variants. I myself booked for top model assuming that the on-road price will be around 9.5L max. But it just crossed 10.3 in Bangalore. I am shifting down to 2nd base model.

I was waiting for punch purchasing...but due to overprice..I have changed the plan..
I have booked Magnite XL. But I changed my mind after launch of Punch. Yes I agree Punch price is a bit on the higher side comparing with features but features and looks is not the ultimate deciding factor. Middle class family who wants to purchase a car for long time needs to check multiple other factors like longevity of that car, Parts price and it's AVAILABILITY. after sales service and it's network, Safety. Reliability. Undoubtedly Nissan is a big company but it's service and network is not upto the mark in India. Nissan has a very good market hold in U.S but that is not my concern. I am an Indian and will use my car within the country. So TATA cars are more reliable to me compare to Nissan Cars.

Very nice and factual information comparatively.
As a magnite owner, obviously i will put plus points as below. ( base to base comparison)
1. Magnite has more length, so obviuosly more leg room in the back seat. More confortable seating position with laid back seat more wider also. It also has very small bump in middle, so more comfortable for 3 adults.
2. Power windows in rare seats, and seperate cabin lights for rare passengers, adjustable head rests, So pt#1 and pt#2 definetely makes magnite much better for person sitting in the rare seat. I take this as very big plus point for a family car in budget and person sitting in rare seat does not feel totally ignored feeling like siting in the 20 year old car.
3. Apart from above, magnite has rare fogger and wiper(which is actually a very good feature, unless anyone has experienced it), better ground clearance, vanity mirror, better dashboard design and quality, much better looking rare profile, tilt stearing heights, 16 inch tyres, good looking wheel caps(if dont want to upgrade to alloys), flat boot, Roof rails, bumper skid plates for 3k extra, alloy wheels for 32k only(since wheel size is same, only need to change rims), definitely quite less body roll as has longer and wider wheelbase with less height.
While punch has the main advantage of TATAs name and service network and new patentented tech of locking the wheel to get out of muddy places, while other advantage are only minor such as engine power and safety rating. If someone has booked magnite base variant at 4.99 lacs and just adds the music system and central locking, then at older on road price of 6.2 lacs one is getting a better car then even the 2nd top model of tata punch, apart from some area mentioned above. Almost 2 lacs of difference.

Magnite compared with Punch for price and features, its ok! but when you compare Magnite with its actual segment rivals like Kiger, Nexon, Ecosprt, XUV300 etc does it stands fair? Tata has given segment first whether its compact sedan by Indigo CS or Micro SUV by Punch. Instead of features and safety you should have highlighted the 3 cylinder Engine vibrations and NVH. One thing comes up to my mind is that why are you comparing a Micro SUV with a Compact SUV ? Wait for Hyundai Micro SUV casper and than make comparisons. Although many are disappointed with Punch still Magnite is not the best in its segment.

Magnite Turbo XL and XV variants are more better in Features and Safety components like Rear Defogger, Wipers, Auto fold Orvms, daylight Irvm etc.. Punch Adventure and Accomplished are just overpriced without basic features like this.

Beautiful SUV car with great built quality and looks as well as features. Moreover varientwise price is absolutely justified specially in compare with swift and baleno. Pure rhythm and adventure rhythm is most value for money varient.
You can do everything city drive, highway drive, adventurous tour with your family and friends very safe.
I recommend this car for new buyer and those who are upgrade from entry level segment to upper segment.
