Such a great video! Love your trip reports especially in these hard times when it is not possible to travel to the US myself. Keep up the great work. Hope to see further trip reports from you soon.
Well Jacob, if you ever fly Delta into Detroit Metro (DTW), they don't just have close-by hotels. The local Westin hotel is attached to the McNamara terminal; it even has its own secure entry to go air-side!
Awesome trip report Jacob! I missed a 55 minute connection in CLT because of weather and nearly missed a 2 hour connection at Atlanta because of weather!😿😸😸
I really love watching your Trip Reports and I’m glad you’re getting to travel during COVID, too! I would love to see more videos with Ollie. Are you ever able to take him along on your trips?
Just as an FYI on Republic operated American Eagle flights in first class you can get whatever drink you want, it's just on request only and usually one person in the cabin asks and the FA usually asks everyone else as well.
Yeah, short connections depend on the airport/airline for me. Under an hour at ORD is usually bad news. Only big airports I somewhat trust with under an hour are CLT, ATL, and DEN. I've heard the same for SLC but I've never used it as a connecting passenger.
I had a 50 minute connection at ORD in 2018 and our first flight from SLC left on time but held for an hour due to weather in Chicago. Fortunately our connecting plane to DCA was held up in Omaha so we didn’t miss it. Got delayed about 3 hours. Had to sit in the hold block for a reroute. Got to DCA by 11:45pm (scheduled 9pm)
I feel the pain of tight connections. Sat on the ground in Chicago after landing and I somehow made a 5 min layover. I always know something is up when flight attendants say for final destination people to stay on the aircraft. Great trip report
I really enjoyed the trip report! It was definitely pretty fortunate you were able to get back to St Louis without missing the connection in Philadelphia. Once, I found myself in the same situation as you (except with a different end result). I was flying from New York (LGA) to Oklahoma City (where I live) and had Dallas Love Field as my connection. The weather got bad in NYC, and my plane from New York to Dallas got delayed. By the time I reached Dallas, I missed my flight back to OKC (and that was the last flight of the day to OKC). Southwest was offering to book me on the flight for the next morning, but I declined it because the weather was apparently going to be storming in Dallas the next day (and it actually did storm the next day, so I think I made the right call). I ended up getting a rental, booked a cheap hotel for the night, and drove 3 1/2 hours the next day back to OKC. Southwest ended up refunding me for the Dallas to OKC. That was probably the craziest airplane adventure I have been on (I definitely I hope I don’t find myself ever in that kind of situation again).
Great Video! I spend a fair amount of time in the Harrisburg area because I have family who live there. The Boston to Harrisburg route on American I think makes no sense because it's not a hub airport for American. And every time I try to take that route, my flight gets cancelled. So my mom and I just avoid MDT altogether. So when we go visit family there we fly into other airports rent a car and drive e.g PHL, BWI, IAD. This summer I did a crazy intenary. Instead of Logan which is my home airport. We flew out of T.F Green Airport which is an hour and a half away from my house. and flew directly to BWI on Southwest. Then drove to Harrisburg which is another hour and a half away. Im editing the Trip Report I took and plan to premiere it on my channel on November 21st.
TF Green is my home airport! I interested in your thoughts. But it’s so much more convenient than Boston Logan. I’ll take connections over driving through the horrendous traffic in Boston.
I grew up in Harrisburg, and I'm honestly surprised MDT is still open as a civil airport. Even as a local I flew out of MDT once in my life, and everyone else I know has never flown out of it. Just like I started to do everyone I knew would drive down to Baltimore when they flew.
Hey Jacob, I found a really rare Ryko system at a gas station in Cahokia. It looks like an older Ryko Softgloss or it could also be a Voyager. I would be so happy if you could film it.
Charlotte Airport is more crazy than Philadelphia since you have to walk the entire concourse and go from concourse E to concourse A and ive seen people there cut it close
Looks are very deceiving. Everything along the river west of the tracks they try and keep up. But Harrisburg is no friendly city. They came in at 49th on Neighborhood Scouts 100 most dangerous cities in the US coming into 2020. And it's rightfully earned that position. Bare in mind, the city only has roughly 50,000 residence, and to be ranked in the top half is not a good feat for such a small population. Spent 16 years in that city. While I long to return to PA. Not going anywhere near that city again.
I have a question for you. What is the name of the music that you used in a trip report of your Southwest Airlines flight from St. Louis to Washington DC (DCA)? I think it was in the final minutes of your trip report. Thank you, sir!
In your opinion, is it worth flying First Class on AA during these Covid times? I am looking at flights later this year and thinking, given the limitations, it's just not worth it? Your thoughts>
Yeah, tell me about it. I had a flight from CLT-BWI depart only to return to the gate and get canceled. Luckily for me I went stand by on the next flight and got on. AA really was a saving Grace then! They were also able to change my flight coming home, to me leaving BWI in the morning, without any issues.
Going from the Foxtrot gates to the Bravo gates, while running late, using a shuttle bus that looks as if its going to Alpha gates--doesn't look like much fun! As far as I'm concerned, the business of no inflight service because of Covid is BS,its all about cost-cutting--if I'm paying for FC,I fully expect SOME sort of food/beverage service, even just snacks and water at the bare minimum--will you post footage of your trip from St Louis--Harrisburg? I'm sure we'll see a Fairfield hotel review, you're good about that!
Ahh MDT my hometown airport!
Wow, your flight to Philadelphia was longer than thanking the Amtrak Keystone!

I'm surprised airports are that busy these days.
For the size of airport it is, MDT looks super modern and nice!

Questions: When’s your next Car Wash video? And when will you do the Tunnel Wash at Olympic Car Wash in Shawnee Kansas? The Tunnel is an AVW Tunnel.

first class is coach with legroom anymore
@@Newberntrains Yup basically.
Great two trip reports! If a connection is less than 50 minutes in ORD, I just avoid those flights. I've missed way too many connections that way. lol

I at least try to aim for a 1hr 15m connection so I can use the restroom and do stuff before I get to the gate.

Nice report, my friend! Hope you had a great time
16 mins flight from Harrisburg to Philadelphia? 😮
you should do the adirondack amtrak train. i hear its beautiful this time of year
Hey I work in F! I wish I recognized ya, I wouldve said hi
interesting, it was pretty much empty at Toronto Pearson back in July 2019 around 5 am in the morning. hope you had a good trip!

Great trip report
Another fantastic video man! Welcome home
Did you go to Hersheypark it’s really fun
Your Flight took place October 11th? That was this past Sunday. That was my Birthday weekend! My Birthday is October 9th which was last Friday.

MDT, my former home airport. Hasn’t changed that much since 2016. Thanks for the views!
There is a new car wash at the Amico station on Clayton road called PDQ Tandem surfline.
the distance is about SPI_STL which OZ used to run DC-9s and would serve a beveridge on the flt

@@MrPlease888 i prefer BDL for the earlier flight times.
Yeah, that really is odd. I'd expect that eventually AA will drop it and Delta will pick it up. Since BOS is a kinda-sorta hub for them.

I've Been to Hershey Park in April of 2019 after my first Rochester Americans game in my hometown Rochester New York.

Wow that first flight.... looks like someone got lost lol.
Trip Reports have returned
ouch! how do they remember that flight path?
I have a question if you take a different turn in the regular playing in the jet
Milwaukee to Chicago is actually even shorter than Harrisburg to Philly.
I'm sure you spend longer on taxi at ORD than you do in the air
Phineas and Ferb the fall!
Daniel Tiger Neighborhood the fall!
MKE-ORD is about 100 MDT-PHL is 84
@@davidharris2519 MKE-ORD is 67 believe it or not.

Harrisonburg. Airport looks a bit empty
I don’t live too far from Harrisburg
just think TWA had larger a/c and a meal into STL maybe even a widebody
Wow that flight was a mess... did you have to quarantine when you arrived into PA or not?
your first flight was operated by Piedmont Airlines the second flight was operated by Republic Airways
ive heard people missing their connection in philadelphia then everything after that goes completely wrong with mechanical issues etc.

Lol someone forgot there belt at security you hate to see it
the flt attdnt doesnt sound too happy
should have flown DL you would have gotten larger a/c
Why did they even let you take off from MDT if they were just gonna make you hold?
I wondered the exact same thing. Looking at the flight path, it’s like we took off and just immediately entered a holding pattern.
your 16 minutes is wheels up wheels down not gate to gate
