I just started working on my RUclips Channel a month ago. I’m so happy I found LumaFusion! It makes editing much faster and easier since I film using my iPhone for now.

I just wanted to say thank you for being such a good teacher! I have never did any sort of video editing and didn’t even have a decent device that was able to upload videos until recently.
My friend talked me into picking up an iPad Pro and suggested buying a copy of LumaFusion. Well I had no idea what I was even looking at or how to use LumaFusion. Then I came across your tutorial video.
I watched it several times and went back to it for reference. I now have a handful of fishing videos posted up on RUclips. I know that I have a long way to go, but it’s a start and it wouldn’t have been able to do it without your help!
    Thanks so much!,

Nice overview of the new update. LumaFusion 2.0 is great. I too am a mobile editor for video and images. All done on an iPad Pro Gen2. If you edit videos, and you don't have LumaFusion 2.0...you need to invest in it. GREAT product. Keep up the great work!

Douglas where do you store your media prior to moving it over to the iPad through Lumafusion? Also what’s the easiest and quickest way to transfer? Thanks

When iOS 13 is released later this fall it’s going to make him mobile editing much easier as it now supports external drives which is great for storage. I have a video coming up soon demonstrating this

@@smackdn775 Hi Scuba Steve. I have a 10TB NAS attached to my network. It is a shared drive on my network. You could do the same thing with a 2 or 4TB DAS attached to your local computer via USB. I load all video, audio, and images to the NAS. Then in Lumafusion, I access the NAS via the Import Media Sources (Network Drives). Works great. I can pull or push video to that NAS via the network. When I am remote, I take a 4TB USB drive and attach it to my MacBook Pro. I then share that USB drive. I then create a local wireless network on the MacBook. This allows me to connect my iPad to the MacBook via a wireless connection. I can transfer any video to and from the iPad and to and from the 4TB drive via the wireless connection. I usually dump the video from my DSLR to the 4TB drive via the SD card. When I get back to the studio, I usually dump the 4TB content to the NAS and clean up the 4TB drive for future use. It may sound complicated, but it really isn't. I own a Technology Company here in town, so I also have some additional experience.

@@smackdn775 Scuba Steve, I noticed I didn't really answer your final question. Sorry about that.
      I have three work flows.
In all cases ALL video and/or images are stored on the 10TB NAS.
      Flow One:
If I am working on a project to be edited later, I will either transfer the SD card content to the NAS via the SC card slot on the computer or if I am remote and recording a lot of video, I will take a 4TB drive, attach it to my MacBook Pro via USB. Then share the drive via the System Preferences. I then create a local wireless network via the System Preferences of which I can connect other wireless devices and access the 4TB drive. This allows me to either transfer video via wireless to the 4TB drive, or I can use the SD card slot on the laptop to transfer. Sometimes I take B-roll via an iPhone, so it has to be transferred wirelessly.
      Flow Two:
If I am remote and recording a lot of video, I will take a 4TB drive, attach it to my MacBook Pro via USB. Then share the drive. I then create a local wireless network of which I can connect other wireless devices and access the 4TB drive. This allows me to either transfer video via wireless to the 4TB drive or I can use the SD card slot to transfer. Sometimes I take B-roll via an iPhone and then transfer that video to the 4TB drive via the wireless connection. Moves pretty quickly. When I arrive back at the studio, I then transfer the 4TB content to the 10TB NAS and clean up the 4TB drive for future use.
      Flow Three:
If I am working on a small project and want to edit right away, I will pull the SD card from the DSLR and use an SD card reader dongle for the iPad to transfer the video directly to the iPad. Keep in mind that that video too will eventually land on the 10TB NAS for storage when i get back to the studio.
Just so you know, I have three MacBook Pros from which I work. One primary, a secondary for sharing and as a backup machine, and a third that travels. I also have a 10GB backbone network in my studio with an Aruba wireless system. Pretty fast, but all of this can be done with a typical 1GB network too. Transfer rates will be a little slower with the 1GB, but still pretty decent transfer rates.
I hope this helps. Feel free to ask more questions.

This is a nice update, and I used it today without even realizing at first that it had updated. I really like this versus dragging out the laptop for Insta360 OneX or GoPro stuff. They only complaint I have is sometimes grabbing audio online (like from FMA) to use with clips is tougher than the full-blown PC.

Can’t wait for some of the new features to be added over the coming months. I really want better time lapse tools and speed ramping tools 🙂 Some extra stabilization tools will be nice as well to help polish any shaky footage. Also some tools for getting rid of lens distortion, especially from the Mavic 2 pro

Thank you and welcome aboard. I don’t have any timelines just from what they have said that it will be coming in the future build. In their latest lifestream where they were showing off some new features they did mention that in their beta They have a working version of stabilization but they are holding off until they can find tune things a little bit to make it easier to work with. So I’m assuming we may even seen that In the next update
