4:27 maybe this was intentional, but this design really looks like a postcard, which would be appropriate since Hawaii is such a popular tourist destination.

1:21 Wisconsin: The stylised badger is much better. Instead of brown, I would use white, for better contrast.
1:50 Kansas: I would just use the State Banner presented here.
4:33 Hawaii: I like that flag. And the yellow is dark enough to be visible inside the white circle.

Can the next event be the Philippine Provinces, the flags of these provinces are terrible because they just use seals

As a Filipino, I really really REALLY agree with you.
We don't need re-designs for many of the flags in this country. Alaska, for one, is perfect the way it is. The present California flag also looks great. It's not too busy and the colors all work well together. Your re-design of this flag was cold and stiff. Definitely modernized, but not in a good way. Some do need to be re-designed, or maybe just given some simple changes. The flag of Hawaii doesn't need the union jack design on it anywhere. I'm surprised that England hasn't complained about this in the past.

Interesting designs. However, California and Texas' flags I hope they never change, cause they're already stunning. Puerto Rico current flag is also nice. Purple, green should never be used in flags in my honest opinion.
I agree about the Californian and Texan flags! But the green thing doesn't make much sense to me 😅

It's obvious to me that "LaloLanda" knows only NYC as New York. Not for me, my parents were smart enough to move the family upstate in the late 60's, didn't get it at the time but I know now it was a GODsend!

New Rule! Abstract flags are not state flags. I have just seen designs for newer state flags that mean essentially nothing even symbolically because they are so disjointed. This is not to say that there are flags in the world that couldn't use a reinvention, But when reinvention becomes the rule, nothing ties anything back to heritage at all in that case. Take the united states for example. Each state flag, for the most part, should be its state seal on a basic color background. Not some abstract sculpture no one can properly decode. Whatever the state seal is that should be the flag. I think the reformation of our flags through conflicting new rules has gone far too far and has become more of a critics' arena, then reflecting a given state's actual heritage. I don't care if a kid in school can draw the flag based on simplicity. It's not their problem until they are taxpayers paying for said school. Harsh judgment call, sure, but this much has to be said. Its not my opinion: its my state. And the state is the traditional seal. I don't mind occasional adjustments, but a total reinvention of the entire concept is not necessary. Look up the rules of heraldry. Most of these new flags of our union will not age well.

7:50 No offence to the designer of the Alaska flag, but as an Alaskan myself our simple flag we have would probs be favored more since the state flag of my home state is literally EVERYWHERE lol.
Adding to the comment, the other flag redesigns of my home state are kinda eh no offence still. However I am aware that redesigning a flag is hard to a degree, but still it is even harder to beat something that is already simple lol. It is in our state song "The simple flag of a last frontier."
Some of these might not stand up to their real world counterparts, but the idea is to evaluate the flag design based on how the state was symbolized into it, with real-world comparison not being a priority
