I just completed my first FVD coaster. Meaning imported into NL2 and finished. I'm incredibly proud of where I've gotten and this tutorial is only gonna help more. Thank you so, so much. You and Funky Penguin's tutorials are helping an all new wave of people learn this incredible program. I hope soon the community is exploding with amazing FVD creations!
I started with No limits and fvd a few days ago. Thank you so much for your tutorial its really well explained and you can understand everything. Keep up the good work👏
I'm new to FVD and have quickly learned section time length is literally just as important as the g forces. Sometimes, you just simply have to have a transition be smaller and change the g forces to get the shape right. I use 0.5 seconds for a lot of my stuff and go down to 0.2 if i have to.
Thank you so much! Without this Video I would not be able to make my first FVD++ Coaster it wouldn't been possible without this video! In the future could you maybe do a more complexed tutorial?
So excited to see this video! I just got NoLimits 2 a week ago and want to start using FVD++. This video was perfectly timed! lol By the way could someone teach me how to install FVD++, I have no idea what I'm supposed to do xD
There is a link in the description of this video that works. From there you download the one that says "win64" on it. Then open the file and you should be in the program
Really great tutorial! After a couple hours of tinkering with it I've noticed that inversions are a bit difficult to do with fvd compared to the No Limits editor.
Nice! I'm honestly gonna use this as like a replacement concept for American Eagle at Great America since the only modern B&M we have is X-flight and every other B&M except for superman is from before 1999
I'm building my first coaster in FVD++, and cannot find the dynamic graphs you are talking about. Is there anything I'm doing wrong? (The coaster is a wild mouse type of ride.) Thanks for the help!
Thanks for the tutorial! I am currently making Magnum XL 200, but I seem to be running into a problem. Every time I make the turn that leads into the lift hill, it starts uncontrollably banking even if I put it the pieces before it on euler or as straight track. Do you know what to do?
Hmm I’ve never encountered something like that before. Just make that if the turn is rising higher or lower make it a geometric section instead of curved.
btw the menus arent popping up because you are just capturing the main window, if you want to show the pop up windows you should use display capture (assuming you are using obs)
Can you make a tutorial on an intamin blitz? No one has made a tutorial on this and I always get frustrated with the tools on this software, it's so confusing.
Hey I have no idea why but I can't seem to change the quality of the video from 360p to 1080p and the video looks really blurry. Can anyone advise me on how I can fix pls.
I don't know how to open up the program, I extracted it and am inside the file, I just don't know where to click now... I couldn't find anyone walking you through on how to download it.
Dude, the first air time hill bit doesnt work. Tried it for 3 hours straight, following it exactly. can you update this or something because this has beaten me.
Anyone know how to make a flying coaster? There doesn't seem to be any tutorials or guides & I'm not sure how to tell the game that the track is supposed to perform upside down
It didnt work for me and I tried a few times. I ended up boot camping my computer (download the windows system on a mac) there are youtube tutorials on how to do so
It may hit that using g-force recordings from riders, but -0.25 g's was designed into the ride (measured in the middle of the train). B&M said that the -0.5 g's on Dr. Diabolical's Cliffhanger was the strongest they have every designed, and prior to that they didn't go below -0.25 g's. They may have been incorrect, but I'm just going based off of what I have heard.
@@EliteCoasters I saw a G force graph vid from it on the channel "coaster stats" and the G' forces on fenix on the airtime hill were around -0.6Gs normally & also thanks for this greay tutorial video will try it out!👌🏻
I started from the beginning and then it wouldn’t let me place anymore force sections when I got to the drop. The y acceleration didn’t change and I really don’t know why since I followed the video exactly
it started out smooth and then i had to keep rewinding i didnt understand what you were doing it took me around 5 hours to get halfway through i am stuck and im changing to a different tutorial
I got NL2 either right after or before summer started and I haven't made a full circuit coaster yet, hopefully with the help of this tut i can make my first ride

tomorrows my birthday and i plan on buying no limits 2 with some of the money i get, so this is perfect timing. Thanks
FVD is free, you don’t have to wait for that!
Hppy birthday
@@williamhoward9121 Yeah but NoLimits2 coasts money, you need NoLimits2 to display FVD++ coasters.
Happy birthday
@kaz happy birthday!

I got rickrolled. I'm taking my thumbs up back!
Great to see this. I personally find it really hard to set the overall size of the element as I want in FVD++.
Yeah its hard to figure out certain elements sometimes

@@jordanwolfson8378 Very true!
copied the whole ride now im going to get myself comfy with FVD++ Thank you so much for posting this
Awesome!
Man, I wish I'd had this a few years ago when I first tried FVD. Very thorough and well-explained.
Thank you so much! Without this Video I would not be able to make my first FVD++ Coaster it wouldn't been possible without this video! In the future could you maybe do a more complexed tutorial?
i didn't know FVD was a thing until after a month of having no limits 2. i wish i knew about this program sooner. amazing video.
Great tutorial and great coaster knowledge ! Thank you

FVD++ is portable app
You can just extract and run it
Where do I find the win64 file?
Just got no limits looking forward to making some coasters and posting them
Just started FVD++ this is great!
Really great tutorial! After a couple hours of tinkering with it I've noticed that inversions are a bit difficult to do with fvd compared to the No Limits editor.
Thank you so so much for this video, you are a huge inspiration to us :)

FVD is such an amazing program
agreed
I just really do wish FVD could support custom envelope tunnel
Like, it's just 2D vector model stretched
i just couldn't get used to the NL2 editor... this much better
Great Video. Do you know if FVD works on mac laptops? If so how can I download it?
I'm building my first coaster in FVD++, and cannot find the dynamic graphs you are talking about. Is there anything I'm doing wrong?
(The coaster is a wild mouse type of ride.)
Thanks for the help!
Thank you for this tutorial! Very helpful!
is it just me but that cheat sheet really helped me thanks!!!
With planet coaster making a console game I really hope Nl2 does too!
I highly doubt it since No Limits 2 isn't really a game, just software for making coasters. That would be interesting though!!
Do you know what to do if my entire UI for FVD++ is squished? I can't read any of the text and everything on the bottom is cropped out.
Something I recommend doing is dempumping the entire ride. It takes a long time but it is worth it.
Yeah that helps sometimes
This was SO helpful! thank you so much!
Great tutorial! Really helped me out
When I go to file system i only see my projects that i made in nolimits how can i export it (i know you said but i didnt understand)

I'm using the Xbox Game Bar
@@EliteCoasters I would highly recommend learning how to use OBS. it's free and really just the industry standard for screen recording

Can you pretty pretty please make a video on how to do inversions like cobra rolls and dive loops??
any general rules of thumb when working with g-forces while designing coasters i should know?
Love the content btw!
Gotta love the cheat code
When I try to import it in to no limits 2 with the elements tab it says can’t read something please help if you need more info just ask
For some reason it’s not showing the green and blue lines when I zoom in on the forces graph, do you know what that is or how to fix it?
Can you install FVD on a Mac?
the 2nd half started getting too fast paced and confusing but it helped in the first half thanks
ooo yay, i can learn fvd
WOW IM FINALLY USING ALGEBRA
Hey I have no idea why but I can't seem to change the quality of the video from 360p to 1080p and the video looks really blurry. Can anyone advise me on how I can fix pls.

I don't know how to open up the program, I extracted it and am inside the file, I just don't know where to click now... I couldn't find anyone walking you through on how to download it.
Bro you'll see an icon of fvd in that folder just examine the folder closely
is there a way to change the measurments from meters to feet?
Dude, the first air time hill bit doesnt work. Tried it for 3 hours straight, following it exactly. can you update this or something because this has beaten me.
i did it all but in no limits 2 its faster than it is in fvd and it messed up all the forces in no limits 2
after exporting the file i cant find the file in nl2 but i can find it in my normal files
Anyone know how to make a flying coaster? There doesn't seem to be any tutorials or guides & I'm not sure how to tell the game that the track is supposed to perform upside down
My viewing window keeps crashing any time I put FVD into POV for more than like 10 seconds
36:12 after the timelapse ends the voice audio becomes loud. Make sure ur volume isn't too high lol
Yeah I'm on vacation rn so I kinda threw the video together before I left, so the future tutorials will be much higher quality lol
Its way to hard to line up the break run for me
how do you download fvd?
description
Great Tutorial but I don’t know how to download fvd
same
At 22:04 the menu for the smoothing tool didn't show up on the video, so i didn't know what boxes to check or not
Ok nvm, it told me if it was too short, But great tutorial!
Yeah my video editor didnt pick up the menus, something that I will need to fix for the future tutorials
Can I do it in planet coaster
Any clue how to get the Mac version to run, I downloaded it and it keeps saying it cant open the file, no explanation....
It didnt work for me and I tried a few times. I ended up boot camping my computer (download the windows system on a mac) there are youtube tutorials on how to do so
Is there a way to import the fvd coasters into planet coaster without no limits 2?
Nope just no limits. Planet coaster is a different coaster editor
Hii can you make a inversion tutorial on fvd
Yeah I'll be doing more tutorials covering specific coaster types
ooohhhhh i saw an rmc wildcat in those files
Yeah I tried to make one a long time ago but it didnt work out
how do I open fvd++
Its says zip has expired?
30:00 move in now move out
Can we import the FVD coasters into Planet Coaster? 🤔
No
Does the standard nl2 allow you to import FVD, or do you need professional?
Standard should allow it because you can access the fvd file from the elements tab, which standard nl2 has
@@EliteCoasters Thanks so much, could you also do a small tutorial eventually on some RMC elements maybe?

Does anyone know how to actually get you coaster file into NoLimits 2 because I cant figure how to get the file to appear in my file system.
You gotta create a new folder to import to from fvd and then you can more easily find it in nl2
@@EliteCoasters Thanks!
Can this also he exported in blender too?
Maybe not sure
can someone say how to install it?
why does it keep saying "warning: transition _______ longer than section" after the turn after the drop?
Because the other sections need to be dynamic

Do you need NL2 Pro for this to work?
No, you can do it in standard NL2
Is it possible to import FVD to Planet Coaster?
I've heard that it is but I've never seen one
Should I buy no limits 2?
If u will use it regularly
@@EliteCoasters I will, I play planet coaster a lot, so this I will to

how do you get a track pov, can you reccomend pov settings for me?
In FVD or in No Limits?
Hold right click and tap space for FVD
