Bottom layer issue tend to be down to not having the nozzle close enough to the bed. But smoothing the sides can also be helped by the methods you showed so thanks!
Since I now have a 3D printer too, here are some tips and tricksȘ -print on glass/mirror to give the first layer a glossy, acrylic texture -calibrate your printer once a moth(if you donțt have auto bed level, use mesh leveling,itțs much easier) -Also,the cracks seem like itțs from a partial clog,or the first layer density is low
It bares repeating that quality of 3D printer is almost always involved in how much finish work you need to do. It really is a product where you have to weigh your time vs your money and that is without factoring in wasted money on filament from failed prints. It’s kinda like using a dull handsaw vs a nice table saw. Both work, one works much better.
Too bad cheap printers can't get this right yet. Did you have to prime the plastic first with a plastic primer so the paint didn't chip off later? An epoxy paint would be a good durable solution.
Hey Dude, you can get better prints with this printer! The layers on your prints look really inconsistent... You can contact me if you want some advice 👍

Your nozzle needs to be closer to the bed. You could also try a raft to clean up that bottom.
