    We also bought a 2017 Yamaha refurbished golf cart all tricked out!! We love ours and agree Brownwood Villages Golf Carts are the way to buy from!! Len Fletcher was our Salesman & still has been excellent to us, even after a year after our purchase!! Thanks for showing what you’ve done to your golf cart!! Lots of great ideas 😊

    Hey Chief, just wanted to drop you a note and let you know how much I enjoy your channel. We live in Orlando but you make a compelling argument that we need to move to The Villages. I’ll be around to see what comes next on your channel.

    When we did the Lifestyle visit, we went to The Golf Cart Store. I would definitely buy used to save money. I think comfortable seats are super important. Thanks again Chief!!

    Great video. I'm saving it to show my husband later. We drove around with our turn signal on most of the time while on our lifestyle visit because he couldn't see (or hear) the blinker. 😂 We'll be moving there in the fall and I know one of the first things he'll want to do is get a steering wheel like yours so he won't keep leaving the blinkers on!

    I learned a lot today! Thank you and you should consider doing a class on home, car, golf cart and motorcycle maintenance with The Villages education classes - just sayin! Looked like Gridley was ready for a golf cart ride! BTW Hamish loves his “Gridley Stars” harness!

      @TheVillagesChief  Год назад +3

      I don’t know if I’m smart enough for that, I’m still so new to the golf cart thing but it would be fun teaching it! It’s really not a bad idea down the road. Did you get the harness?

    • @LandGirlGB
      @LandGirlGB Год назад +2

      Yes I did get the harness and Hamish loves it! Thanks! As for teaching you certainly have the patience for it and are well spoken. You may want to speak to someone at TV as to what’s entailed. My Dad always said, you will never know how good you will be unless you try! You just might like it! Have a great day with Gridley!

    The wheel covers are so sharp looking on your golf car and I like the way everything matches in color (Car, motorcycle, bike and golf car). Also Gridley is so cute! Thanks for sharing.

    Thanks for your videos, I enjoy them and recently found your channel. I have a similar hookup for my dog Banjo (a miniature dachshund) in my car. It works out great for us as well. One thing I noticed about yours is that Gridley can still be thrown out of the cart on the driver's side, if for some reason you you were thrown out. If you could somehow fasten something in-between the seats an O'ring or something that would not let Gridley go back past that point once he is hooked up. I know this is unsolicited advice, I am thinking of both of your safety only. Looking forward to more videos as well. Truly appreciated your video about Marion and how you and Gridley came together... God Bless you going forward!! Suzanne

    I want the 4 seater also because I want to build an area about 4-6 inches tall out of wood the same size at the flatbed for the dog to lay down and also be tethered in like you do Gridley but also able to pull it out when I want the seats up.

    Hey Chief - thinking about the Villages. What are your thoughts on summer in FL, cockroaches and mosquitoes (they LOVE me), water quality, homeowners insurance (particularly flood insurance)? What is the Navy veteran community like?

    • @TheVillagesChief
      @TheVillagesChief  Год назад

      Hey there Blackwing Garage! Well I love the heat, and it does get hot, but I live for that which I know is not the norm, I haven’t been here long enough to experience any mosquito issues, and most everyone has screened in patios, lanais, birdcages, or porches. When I first moved into my house there were a few cockroaches, but I think that’s because the house sat vacant for a while, and once I got the bug people in that problem was solved so I haven’t had any since, it’s been about eight months now. I use USAA for my homeowners insurance and I think it’s affordable compared to my other houses and other places I’ve lived I haven’t really noticed any difference. Of course we live in central Florida so we’re not on the coast line, I don’t think we get severe weather like the coast does but I’m gonna do a separate video on budget and cost once I’ve lived here for a full year, so I my honest answer is it seems affordable, but I haven’t sat down and done a real comparison. There are a lot of Navy veterans here as you drive through the neighborhoods you see a lot of navy flags flying. The worlds largest American legion is here. We have the VA outpatient clinic five minutes from my house, it’s really huge military area and there are several military clubs to get together so finding fellow Shipmates is very easy to do here. Thanks for watching!

      @@TheVillagesChief Thanks brother, I am appreciate the reply. I have had zero Navy interaction since I retired in 2018...I live near near an AFB..so having some shipmates around to lie to about what we all did in the Navy would be great. I look out for your future review as that will be on significant interest to me.

    Thanks for another helpful video. I am still planning on moving there this summer. Another podcaster recommends seat belts for the riders, have you considered that. Also can your four seater still be used to carry golf clubs? Looking forward to your video on the change to the rear seat area you are planning.

    • @TheVillagesChief
      @TheVillagesChief  Год назад

      Yes you can add an adapter to hold the golf clubs with this set up. I don’t think I’ll be adding seatbelts I feel pretty secure, I haven’t ever felt like I was gonna tip or fall out I think at 20mph it’s not something I worry about. But I’m also a biker so I’m used to not being strapped in to that thing so maybe that’s why haha. But I respect anyone that has them. Especially for little kids maybe. Thanks for watching Jim!
