Make Turkey Leg Hut-Style Smoked Turkey Legs at Home; No Smoker Needed!

  • In this video, I'll show you how to make delicious Turkey Leg Hut-style turkey legs at home, even if you don't have a smoker! I did it on my grill, but these are so easy you can do them in your oven. With this method you'll be able to produce super-tender, smokey fall-off-the bone turkey legs, all without a grill or a smoker, without brining or any of the other hassles associated with smoked turkey legs. Top them with your favorited stuffings, side dishes or veggies and you'll have delicious stuffed turkey legs similar to what you'd get at the famous Turkey Leg Hut in Houston.

    The turkey alone looked like a good idea but when I saw the mac and cheese it blew me away! All I can say is YUM YUM!!

      It was off the chain man! And as far as toppings go the choices are endless! Next time I do these I’m thinking about some smoked greens.

      Hey thanks man! I’ve been sleeping on those pre-cooked Turkey Legs man. Not no mo! If you’re smoking them it takes at least 3 hours off your total cook time, and the smoke level isn’t bad at all for ore-smoked.

    Tks , I'm cooking my legs this way in oven, before u added all your cheeses, what was included in base for the Mac & cheese? Butter, Flour, ? What made it white & thick ( milk & more flour) .

      Hey! I used white cheeses in the recipe, that’s what made it white. Everything else is all about the roux. If you make sure the roux is thin and a little on the runny side going in it will come out nice and creamy.
