@@mcdoobies7328 I do agree with you on that, however most people probably wouldn't have gone to see it if there wasnt a spin on the heist film. I think them revealing that the girl was a vampire slightly helped the marketing since its not every day you see a kid vampire, the main chaarcter at that.
There was that scene in The Grudge where the girl was trying to get out the door at the end and ghost girl just appeared in the door frame and had that uncanny valley elongated frame drift down towards her, that still just makes me NOPE out.
Its funny you mentioned the grudge in the end as one of those movies you just can't watch without turning off the tv 😂. Cuz i have that problem in the 2nd film, only in the opening scene tho where the ghost is in the closet, that one part where her head peaks further down through the dark attic, i just cant with that scene without getting freaked out 😂.
And what piss me off more is the fact that the male villain doesn't do shit in the movies like he just turned into a vampire and forced him . they kill him off? Like what did the guy do so had to deliver death? Like he the victim I hate when they try to make female villains bad ass and no one fucks with them mindset and the guy who don't do shit he mostly useless but when it's punishment time the girl is misunderstood and broken but the guy gets stab or dies or torture for there Crimes even when they do anything I fucking hate that trope so much
Thank you for watching this, I was half way interested in seeing it. There were so many great movies that had great twists, that could have easily been spoiled with the trailer. Do you think you would have liked it, if you hadn't of known the girl was a vampire?
SPOILER WARNING You and I see this very differently. For one, I feel like the silly tone was conveyed in the trailer. I like truly scary movies as well, but I also like horror comedies. Abigail didn’t try and hide its comedic tone. It was trying to be a different type of movie than the grudge, and that’s fine. Secondly, I don’t think the movie tried to redeem Abigail. I’ve only watched it once, but if I remember correctly, Frank’s back was to Abigail when she entered the control room. I think she thought Giancarlo had died trying to recruit them. She charged him thinking this was going to be an easy kill. After she realizes it’s not, she teams up with Joey. Why does this make sense that Joey would accept, because right before Abigail arrived, Frank was going to kill Joey. It’s not that Abigail and Joey are friends now or that Abigail is a good person now, but rather, it’s that Frank is trying to kill both of them and neither can beat him by herself. It’s the old the enemy of my enemy situation. Lastly, why did Abigail let Joey live? I believe there’s two possible reasons. Reason number one, despite the monster that Abigail is, Joey made a genuine impression on Abigail. It seemed to me that Abigail’s father wasn’t really there. He made sure that she had material things, and he allowed her to hunt for fun. However, it doesn’t seem like he spends much time with her. He doesn’t listen to her. Was Joey one of her kidnappers? Yes, she was. However, unlike Frank who held a gun to Abigail’s head, Joey was kind and had genuine conversations with Abigail. Despite all the lies told in this movie, I do believe the moments between Joey and Abigail were real. Also, when she thought she was going to die, Joey called her son who she hadn’t always been there for to say goodbye and say how much she loves him. Vampires typically have heightened senses, so I believe it is reasonable to say that Abigail heard this call as she was in a nearby room. It would have demonstrated to Abigail that despite Joey’a flaws as a parent, she was trying desperately to be a bigger part of her child’s life. As someone who wanted her father to be more involved in her own life, I think even Abigail would find it hard to take away another kid’s parent. Reason number two is that, earlier in the movie, Abigail was shown to try and offer deals to different characters. We don’t get to see if she would keep her word. However, it is not surprising that Abigail would offer a deal to Joey. Especially given the fact that Frank was trying to kill her. It could also be a combination of the two factors in the sense that Abigail offers Joey a deal and intends to actually let her go because she feels Joey has earned it by showing care towards her, she likes that Joey was doing this job to build a life for her son that she has failed to give him so far, and because Joey helped her kill Frank who would have killed her otherwise.
There are a few things to consider as well. Throughout the entire movie Abigail never broke her word. She offered people deals, but they either did not take her up on the deal, or broke it first. Which means that while we can acknowledge Abigail as being a bit of a psycho, she is not portrayed as untrustworthy. So when Frank goes vampire, he is most definitely going to kill Joey amd Abigail (though you could easily convince me otherwise since he walked away from a downed Abigail twice). Abigail, on the other hand, offers a new deal to Joey in which Joey has a chamce at survival. So for Abigail it is very easy. She got hit with a surprise attack by Frank (she thought he was a human and thus no real threat) amd needs help taking him down. For Joey it is also relly simple. Either take a chance on Abigail keeping her word, or die anyway. Joey had literally nothing to lose in siding with Abigail and everything to gain. Either she survives, or at the very least gains a chance at taking down Frank who is a danger to her son as well (where Abigail is not interested in her son). Win-win.
I took this movie as a dark comedy xd I mean the trailers aren’t serious at all and it’s from the people who made Ready or Not which is very similar to this movie down to how it ends as well… both are real fun movies and honestly stupid or not I had a lot of fun with it
When they don't know how to write complex villains, they make them redeemable. When villains stay evil they get labeled as one dimensional and bland. But, I mean her toying with her food for attention would make sense if her father was some kind of ethical vampire. Humans and vampires have a different relationship than say, us and an apple.
You can have one, maybe two stupid things in a horror movie to move the plot along but this movie has fresh new stupid stuff to piss you off every five minutes. One scene has the characters saying they're trapped in this house because all the exits are locked while they are literally standing in the sun rays of a giant round glass window. I'm like, "for god's sake just break that window and climb out of it!" This movie is so half baked and braindead it should have been shoved to the back of Tubi instead of getting a theatrical release.
I instantly lost interest when in the trailer there’s this one off putting dance that either Abigail or a different character does it’s just weird 😐(ok found it,it’s at the 2:25 minute mark of the trailer)
Have you watched 30 Days Of Night? now that's a proper vampire being ruthless bloodthristy creatures movie, I don't think there's been one vampire movie like that since then, and that one is old now.. Now, to be fair, I also expected a serious vampire horror movie, because I also didn't watch the trailer, but this one is classified as a vampire horror comedy, that's why it's as silly sometimes, that said, it was just ok, I watched it twice, at first I thought maybe the spanish dub had some characters talking dumb just because taking liberties with the translation, which happens, but no I didn't changed my mind even after watching it in english, it's ok, kinda dumb but ok.
They had a chance to do a From Dusk Till Dawn Dawn situation. Just show glimpses of them kidnapping her. Then when you see the movie, it becomes a vampire. You’re like “what the fuck?” Lmao.
We need another movie like 30 days of night that makes vampires scary predatory things. Sharks mixed with wolves with scary human intellect was the vibe that movie oozed
I'd recommend the Swedish movie _Let the Right One In_ (2008) if you want a good vampire movie. The western remake _Let Me In_ (2010) with Chloë Grace Moretz isn't bad, but I thought the original was better. Best vampire movie, hands down, for my money, is _30 Days of Night._
Best is Lost boys...but I'm an 80s kid. Favorite Vampire character is Valek from John Carpenters Vampires ..would've loved to have learned more about Valek or see a prequel, he just looked awesome as a Vampire with his old priest jacket/clothes
This movie was so BLOODY FUN! The actress of Abigail was insanely good and the movie was so funny. I has an absolute blast with it and cannot wait to watch it again. Going to be apart of my halloween viewing for years to come for sure.
i feel like media now cant do evil characters anymore they either need to have a tragic reason why they are doing these evil things or they need to be redeemed at some point and be sort of good. Im pretty sure to alot of people think that's just boring like why can't evil or bad characters just be that bad or evil why do they need a reason to be evil or be redeemed from there evil
Oh yea the Grudge I saw those movies about 15 years ago when I was early to mid teen and even now looking at those last scenes you showed right now and it still made my skin crawl; that was so good
@@Alteori For sure, I felt like the guy who got turned to a vampire, I feel like his betrayal wasn’t earned? Like they were at odds a lot but they ultimately had the same goal the entire movie. The ending definitely should’ve ended with them killing the main character though
I mean to be fair as far as Joey was concerned she just met all of her comrades that night she didn't know any of these people until tonight so Joey had no problem teaming up with Abigail because she just met these people I'm sure she doesn't really care about any of them she was just trying to survive with them but also I see what you are saying.
By the time of the teamup woth Abigail the entire team is dead. Frank got turned into a vampire by a third party and was definitely going to kill both Abigail and Joey (and Joey's son). Abigail was only possibly going to break the deal and kill Joey. Joey had nothing to lose by teaming up with Abigail, and there wasn't anyone to double cross by doing so.
There was no way to avoid that spoiler. That is the theme of the flick. Without the vampire theme there is no appeal of the movie. Pretty much all the reviews of this movie are very, very positive. I wonder if you are familiar with horror flicks... for they tend to be silly. Taking most horror flick seriously is a mistake... almost none are.
Hello Alteori. ABIGAIL. Saw the trailer, it was interesting at first but yeah, it gave a lot away. It's kinda a comedy than horror. Anyway, another great video, Alteori, I like it, see you in the next one.

I love to watch movies like this because I want to see how it ends to see if there's gonna be a sequel or maybe a prequel that shows where it all started
I believe it's a setup that Abigail made to recruit Joey as her next Vampire guardian, as Lambert was tired of being an immortal and wanted to retire. So everything was setup this way to introduce to Joey what a true vampire is, and that they also keep their word. Vampires are old people who values loyalty and honor even when they are brutal, this is what they seek for a companion, it is hard to find. Even tho they have all the money and power, loyalty cannot be bought. So Abigail keeps looking for someone who is an overcomer like Joey, someone who keeps their word, and because she had a history of overcoming addiction she is unique and can't be glamoured or controlled by any vampire. She is of great value to the child vampire and is specifically chosen for this test because of her profile, a nurturing mother, an ex-addict, overcoming obstacles to go back to her child. She is exactly as Abigail wants as a pseudo mother. I think Abigail set this whole thing up as she is a master of deceit, she was never in danger to begin with. A very old vampire like that survived that long for their cunning and not merely for their power. If they are ever making a 2nd movie this is how I see this whole thing... Just a thought. I could be wrong.

Haven't seen the movie. But when I watched the trailer it immediately made me think of M3GAN. Which got me thinking that someone saw the movie, saw the scene where the murd3r robot girl dances as she hunts down her target, and they thought, "We can make this into a movie." And then they made it into a whole as$ movie. Based off that ONE scene! It honestly made me NOT interested in watching it, especially, as you said, they gave away the twist in the trailers. I hate when movies are spoiled like that. The story becomes too obvious and predictable when they show their hand that early.
I agree the trailers nowadays ALWAYS spoil too much like why are there TWO trailers? But we can’t prove they got ihe dancing thing from Megan I mean BALLET is a different genre..
It's a movie that don't take itself to seriously. Friends and me switched our brain off for two hours and had a lot of fun watching it. It was a cheesy goory horror movie made to entertain, that's all. Sometimes you should appreciate someting only for what it is.
I remember watching The Grudge back when it first came out. And we saw it in the theaters. When we got home, I was so scared to go upstairs by myself that I just waited for my parents or older sister to go up there first. Because if I would have gone up there first, my parents would yell at me for turn on all the lights. 😂😂😂 I've watched the original The Grudge (Ju-On) movies and they were scary too. I forgot which one it was because I think there's 4 sequels , but I couldn't fall asleep after watching it. Certain scenes movies kinda reply in my mind over and over again. 😅

i can't feel bad for a cast of main characters that were going to kidnap and according to the characters in the film potentially torture here. when they thought she was 12. frankly I consider this movie complete and utter trash.
First off, love this video! Great work awesome freaking movie. I love this movie but I do have to agree with you. Yeah, that was the one topic with Frank when he charged when Abigail charged after Frank. It's like the only way I can look at it is that she is a centuries old but in a child's mind. Still not just a child's body, but the mind is still thinking like a child and that can be one of the most dangerous things in the world
I came looking to see if anyone felt the same way I did after watching the movie. Yeah, this movie is stupid. By then end of the movie, I'm like, "Everyone, just die already." because it's gotten so stupid.
7:47 that would have been brilliant. The best thing in a horror movies is when you realize there is no hope, there's no salvation, only pain and death. _Like the end of "the descent", I think both movies._
I agree with you they need to do more psychological thrillers where you are now paranoid like 2 weeks or 2 months straight thinking what you saw may or may not be real.
Bavo! Great Point. TBH some people like opening their gifts on Christmas eve, or reading the final chapter of the book instead of starting on chapter 1. Be carful not to go into too much detail in your review. This could further spoil it for others. Unless those watching enjoy opening gifts on Christmas eve.
I found the movie enjoyable for the most part. Then Abigail got nerfed and fought like a child at the end. And the daddy issues didn't earn any point either.
Instead of every villain having a chance to be redeemed or understood I'd rather have a villain be given a chance at redemption only to reject it and embrace being evil.
I did have fun with the film but I suppose my main issue is that i dont feel Abigal has enough of the upper hand to establish her as a threat. We start off with Abigail allegedly overpowered and imprisoned. Its revealed she is manipulating them, allowed the kidnapping to happen and is not really imprisoned. She goes after them but they are soon able to overpower her for real this time and imprison her again. She escape again but then one of the kidnappers becomes a vampire and overpowers her again and now she genuinely needs help to defeat him in the climax.
I really loved this movie and I loved the twists, I do agree they showed a lot on the trailer but it was a blast watching this in the movies I can’t wait to return for a second watch!
I didn't see the trailer, or read the back of the Dvd, before watching Dusk til Dawn, me, and friend watched it, and was like what the hells going on! 😂
A long time ago I made the mistake of watching The Grudge 2 by myself late at night in the dark. I had lots of fun trying to sleep that night. This may be a weird observation, but that creepy sound Kayako makes from her throat sounds similar to the sound of Simon Belmont swinging from his whip in Super Castlevania IV.

Cuz i have that problem in the 2nd film, only in the opening scene tho where the ghost is in the closet, that one part where her head peaks further down through the dark attic, i just cant with that scene without getting freaked out 😂.
Trying to pull a From Dusk Till Dawn but flubbed, damn : p
This would have worked if the girl turned her into a vampire and made her join them as her new mommy.
And what piss me off more is the fact that the male villain doesn't do shit in the movies like he just turned into a vampire and forced him . they kill him off? Like what did the guy do so had to deliver death? Like he the victim I hate when they try to make female villains bad ass and no one fucks with them mindset and the guy who don't do shit he mostly useless but when it's punishment time the girl is misunderstood and broken but the guy gets stab or dies or torture for there Crimes even when they do anything I fucking hate that trope so much
Man i love your vids you Are the best. RUclips i know:>
Thank you for watching this, I was half way interested in seeing it. There were so many great movies that had great twists, that could have easily been spoiled with the trailer. Do you think you would have liked it, if you hadn't of known the girl was a vampire?
Alteori: *I can’t watch The Grudge*
Well, everyone is going to want you to review it now. Add it to the list 😂
SPOILER WARNING
You and I see this very differently.
I agree with you 100%.
Also, I am writing this to see if my comments are even allowed 😂
Abigail was one of the best films I seen this year tbh
Yo Alteori Please Do What If Xenomorphs were in the Boys Universe!!!!
Was it dumb yes but i still had fun with it
Sometimes we want to see dumb fun movies
They had a chance to do a From Dusk Till Dawn Dawn situation. Just show glimpses of them kidnapping her. Then when you see the movie, it becomes a vampire. You’re like “what the fuck?” Lmao.
It was honestly better than I expected, I thought it got really good during the third act and I’m excited for Nosferatu later this year.
I quite like Nattens Engel, or The Angel of the Night”. Try to watch it with the subtitles as Fangoria did a massively poor dub.
Abigail was okay, but not my kind of movie, as I’m not really into vampire films all that much, though The Invitation was slightly more decent.
I watched the trailer for this and immediately lost interest.
i feel like media now cant do evil characters anymore they either need to have a tragic reason why they are doing these evil things or they need to be redeemed at some point and be sort of good. Im pretty sure to alot of people think that's just boring like why can't evil or bad characters just be that bad or evil why do they need a reason to be evil or be redeemed from there evil
Abigail was not redeemed in the movie. She'll keep on being the mob hitman.
of course. gotta have the girlpower/girls-stick-together moment no matter how little sense it makes
Oh yea the Grudge I saw those movies about 15 years ago when I was early to mid teen and even now looking at those last scenes you showed right now and it still made my skin crawl; that was so good
You should check out and review 30 Days of Night. It's crazy good
I saw Alien on Friday. Now THAT is how you do horror.
Really should take this movie review thing on the road. Love love love your take and presentation.
But is it worth a watch?
You can watch it. It's still fun
Ya It was alright, I don't regret watching it
It was great to me! But stay tuned for better ones
@@Alteorihey could you review late night with the devil?
I really enjoyed this one to my shock. It was a very fun watch for me!
Oh it was fun but the ending threw me off after lol
Don't question just consume.
Literally this. The entire movie is literally a comedy and they make this as obvious as possible
There are tons of awesome horror movies that are serious...
super awesome creator come out of nowhere in my feed and I'm glad. It's added to the rotation now!
Yessss...
It's limited release but they're showing Alien in theaters
I also kind of find it funny and irritating, Joey still sides with Abigail after she killed Rickles. Some dude Joey was interested with
Only now I realized Kevn Durand does look like Elon, thanks Alteori.
Hello Alteori.
ABIGAIL. Saw the trailer, it was interesting at first but yeah, it gave a lot away. It's kinda a comedy than horror.
Anyway, another great video, Alteori, I like it, see you in the next one.
Ahh hell nahh they pulled the 300 year old loli vampire anime trope 💀💀
Thank you for taking the bullet for us..... Big hugs!
I saw it in theaters as well. I'm glad I didn't pay for it... I didn't see any trailers..."fully"... saw glimpses because my RUclips algorithm so I figured she was a "monster" of some sort... the execution of everything was really lame... The ending was soooo predictable I actually thought they wouldn't do what they did but....they did... "Man=Bad"
It loved it. The movie is a horror comedy classic. You are taking it too seriously.
1:15 that kevin durand! he played martin keamy, the mercenary leader that came for ben linus on s4 of lost! he is one of my fav actors. he also played a lead in the strain, and had minor roles in xmen origins, resident evil 5 (movie), and many many other b movies. he's really great
I love to watch movies like this because I want to see how it ends to see if there's gonna be a sequel or maybe a prequel that shows where it all started
Why are you mixing vampire lore from another source? was it stated as such in the movie? 3:38
I recommend the Pumpkinhead series if you haven't seen them. Would love to see you review them and share your thoughts.
last time i felt fear was anniahlation with that bear, when i watched it I lived in Alabama at the time in the woods i wouldnt go out at night for a while still do feel like that bear is watching me at night lol that movie and Drag me to hell was a good one in my opionion wanted to watch this but thanks for watching so i didnt have to
Haven't seen the movie. But when I watched the trailer it immediately made me think of M3GAN. Which got me thinking that someone saw the movie, saw the scene where the murd3r robot girl dances as she hunts down her target, and they thought, "We can make this into a movie."
And then they made it into a whole as$ movie.
I was debating, will wait for stream.
Do a review of Immaculate and The First Omen, please!😊
It's a movie that don't take itself to seriously. Friends and me switched our brain off for two hours and had a lot of fun watching it. It was a cheesy goory horror movie made to entertain, that's all. Sometimes you should appreciate someting only for what it is.
I remember watching The Grudge back when it first came out. And we saw it in the theaters. When we got home, I was so scared to go upstairs by myself that I just waited for my parents or older sister to go up there first. Because if I would have gone up there first, my parents would yell at me for turn on all the lights. 😂😂😂
I've watched the original The Grudge (Ju-On) movies and they were scary too. I forgot which one it was because I think there's 4 sequels , but I couldn't fall asleep after watching it. Certain scenes movies kinda reply in my mind over and over again. 😅
Have you seen the newest one? Its pure garbage and It should be forgotten forever
@@dogd4ze Yes. I didn't like it at all. And the jump scares were very predictable too.
@@kazuyahirako4843 for real! Someone needs to make a new remaster of the original. Same tone, just better camera, maybe better effects, and make kyako scarier and even more evil. That would be a good grudge. And also dont make her American 😭🙏
She did say im sorry about whats gonna happen to you.
I liked the movie. It wasn’t great but it wasn’t bad either.
i can't feel bad for a cast of main characters that were going to kidnap and according to the characters in the film potentially torture here. when they thought she was 12. frankly I consider this movie complete and utter trash.
First off, love this video! Great work awesome freaking movie. I love this movie but I do have to agree with you. Yeah, that was the one topic with Frank when he charged when Abigail charged after Frank. It's like the only way I can look at it is that she is a centuries old but in a child's mind. Still not just a child's body, but the mind is still thinking like a child and that can be one of the most dangerous things in the world
You should watch Cabin in the Woods is a tale of horror movies of today
I love that movie!
I came looking to see if anyone felt the same way I did after watching the movie. Yeah, this movie is stupid. By then end of the movie, I'm like, "Everyone, just die already." because it's gotten so stupid.
Couldn't disagree more. I loved loved loved it and can tell you 100% that I i wouldn't have seen it without knowing it was a vampire movie.
What song is this ?
It was stupid but I enjoyed it when I saw it, I think the term "guilty pleasure" is what best applies to my opinion of the film.
same here, she watched a different movie to me
Is movie looks okay. Will it be cool if we see destroyer in the monsters and space Godzilla.
I found the movie enjoyable for the most part. Then Abigail got nerfed and fought like a child at the end. And the daddy issues didn't earn any point either.
Wanted to see Godzilla but my friends had us watch this instead, only reason I enjoyed it was cuz of the memories I made with my friends
I saw the trailer and automatically knew it would suck. Glad I avoided it.
Instead of every villain having a chance to be redeemed or understood I'd rather have a villain be given a chance at redemption only to reject it and embrace being evil.
I really feel like I have seen that situation before but can’t put any names on it.
@@Daymyan22 Zuko in ATLA season 2, Jinx in Arcane season 1. I know Zuko was redeemed eventually, but that was what came to mind.
@@iamthelittleguyto be fair jinx has more problems
Joker. There were so many times Batman gave him a clear path of redemption and that man shot it down.
Do a review on American Horror Story: Delicate, too.
Thanks for the video!! See you later!! Stay safe.😊
Still, it was a stupidly a fun watch!
I just want monster movie where all humans DIE!
