  • Shirasu = Whitebait, baby sardine
Let's see the process from fisherman's boat until sellin the shop.
When you eat Shirasu, you're eating the entire fish, bone and all. This means that you're getting every last bit of nutrient that the fish had inside of its body. Shirasu are filled with calcium, which is great for your bones, taurine and potassium, which are great for liver functioning, and many other vitamins and minerals that your body needs for healthy functioning. Also Japanese eat row Shirasu as well.Try some ?

En mi país, estos micropescados no se encuentran.
He visto varias series coreanas y este platillo aparece en sus comidas y siempre me llamó la atención el tamaño y su apariencia tan bonita.
Ahora sé que lo utilizan como cebo.

In my Region of Ilocos Norte (Philippines) we call those type of fish as "ipon" and serve as raw w/ chopped tomatoes, bagoong, sinigang or mix with scramble egg

I wonder how they catch them. Tiny little fishing rods and hooks? ☺
