What is the best time of the year to use the Thu per Box?

The one that me and my father built is the 1st one I have ever had. With that said I have fished for Striper throughout the year Spring, Summer, Fall and Winter and each time another boat around me would either have a thumper box or would be beating a stick on the bottom of their boat so I would say year round
