This is one of my favourite mission in this game. OMFG, my childhood was this and Yuri's Revenge. I would pay anything for Westwood to be back to remake this game using the Red Alert 3 Engine!
I think I took over the entire base and lived as a rich Soviet style general, in the Sun temple home, for the rest of my days with the new style of prism tower guarding my base. The chopper was also promoted by taking out infantry, dogs and ore trucks. So life was good.
Now i understand the mission. I beat it by a kamikaze run with engineers and navy seals, and destroyed (or captured and sold) the main enemy buildings. Then by gathering soldiers in buildings and drawing the enemy tanks to them, I always thought that i missed the point of the mission, now i know. Also, didn't have a clue about the hidden building in the top left lol.
Same except I never finished it. I guess I played too many commando games in my time and never thought to infiltrate the tower sites and power supply. Good thing I am replaying it again lol. Man what it was to be young and driven by all those C&C cut scenes 🤣
i was trying to click the minimap the whole when i watched this in fullscreen mode, i adore this game, best strategy ever, and the missions are crafted so good that its fun to do this even for the 20th time
Oooh! I get it!!! The "holy cow, thats not a mayan pyramid thats a prism cannon!" line by the SEAL is a hint that I must capture them!!!!! Damn I was not wearing my headset!
@RyanDahlReturns however the pictures of the tanks and other schematics (if u remember the slideshow when you first downloaded the game) continued to switch, the bar remained at 100% but didn't stop, after a bit the msg reappears "cannot read ra2.mix"-so i canceled and here i am now, nothing downloaded on my desktop or anywhere
@RyanDahlReturns thanks for the help, i was told to clean and then use the allied CD to download instead of the soviet and it worked for me now! Thanks for the help anyway!- you've got my subscription
I have this game allong with russian version + yuri's revenge, i had an old computer model which it worked on but i got a new computer, would it work on windows vista home basic?? if not, how could i get the game on it (is there an alternate)?
@RyanDahlReturns i can't find anything related to EA games or anything Red Alert related- it simply didn't download anything. I even used the search on the Start (windows sign bottom left corner). I looked up 'ea', 'red alert', 'westwood' etc. got nothing...
I went through this just like you did but the tower kills all my units as soon as they get close to it. How did you get them to not kill you? I even tried to distroy the other power supply with the transport and it still killed me.
I have windows 7 home premium. And i dont hink it works on that, but if you go on the god mode panel, you can click older versions or samething like that, and then windows will ask what program cant work. You then press RA2 and the computer asks what the problem is. There you can answer that it wont work on your new computer but worked on your old, then windows will automaticly choose Windovs xp, windows 98 or something like that to run the program. and tada. Worked for me :)
i put in the cd and downloaded, halfway through (49% download) it stops and tells me: 'cannot read ra2.mix'. I pressed resume and it continued downloading, it stopped again but i continued again until it reached 100%,
I spent 4 tries on this map, and I have no idea how to do it, because I got bloddy infantry and 2 light tanks against soviet tank army. Now let's see how you do it...

Yeah man, navy seal being one of the most fun to play with units and with out the need to construct building in this map. It's just so fun.

5 seal is not complete without tanya wounder why they never put her in this mission...
You can also use the chopper to shoot at the cans and blow up key areas of the enemy defenses
I had no idea the airfield was up the top left of the map, or that I could capture the prisms... No wonder why I couldn't finish this mission.
2020 and I still love it!!

@osamaezzet Try to find where the ra2.mix file is (should be something like C:, Program Files, EA Games) or something similar), it could be missing.
This mission is so fun to play.

How do you make the in-game mouse speed so fast? No matter how high I put my computers mouse track speed, in-game it's painfully slow...

2013 And I still play Red alert 1.
I still play Doom 2 from time to time. Also GTA 2. Old school games are cool.

I wanted to capture teir base, but to capture the prism towers.. that never occured to me...
Same here. As soon as I saw him capture the prism tower, I was like WTF and stopped the video cause that made it so easy.
I did end up finishing it without capturing the towers, with the help of 2 or 3 hero GIs. The range on those guys is crazy.
