My not-so-favorite mission of the Allied Campaign :/ But is definitely a type of Commando-Style take down missions, where you handle a handful of units to clean a map and meet objectives, like Rescue Prisoners or Dogma Day Afternoon in Tiberian Sun: Firestorm. Not my cup of tea, but still a cool mission. Still, this is basically a prelude to my next 2 favorite missions. Operation Mirage and Operation Fallout 😍 Thanks for keeping nostalgia alive, man, on a game 2 decades old already. Cheers.
Easter Egg: If you capture the barracks and rest of the base. Only Last capture the airport, enemy engineers will come out of your barracks and capture your buildings. If you sell the barracks then they will still emerge from where the barracks was located out of thin air.
2:45 fun fact about those Soviet engis: they're not built by AI (they've been modded to be completely unbuildable with TechLevel=12), but spawned. When six engineers have been killed, another trigger disables the trigger spawning them. The enemy engineering Team is re-spawned immediately after the death of the last Team via one more trigger. They're spawned at the Soviet Barracks. 3:37 the "interesting" stuff is out of bounds, to the top right, you won't get there without changing at least those. You can even see it in the radar. There are two Allied Power Plants belonging to "Hack House". I'm still not sure what that is used for, it might be remains from the early stages. Each and every building on this map has a tag that forces it to change owner to Player House should Hack House enter them. 6:23 you need 100 power per Mayan Prism Pyramid. Fact: on normal/medium difficulty, if you destroy one Prism Pyramid you get one SEAL. Map mods: -some civilian buildings are ungarrisonable: CAWASH09 through 11. They aren't on the map though, so no idea what WW originally had in mind for them. -standard halving of harvester capacity and doubling of resource-worth. -Allied Power Plants are no longer visible on radar. This is relevant because there are some of them in upper-right corner. Funny thing is, "Hack House" is your ally, so you can see them still. -BuildingType MAYAN now takes 100 power instead of being free and and other tags explicitly re-set so they can't be changed with just rules.ini It's the Mayan Prism Pyramids placed here. -MayanPrism range extended to 18 cells and other tags explicitly re-set so they can't be changed with just rules.ini -ParaDropSpecial RechargeTime explicitly re-set to 4 so it can't be changed with just rules.ini -Tesla Coil drain reduced to 50 from usual 75. -Soviet Engineer can't be built.
I’d imagine if player can build those towers it’d be quite OP. Same for Eiffel Tower. Yes, mod can enable those, but I’m talking about original game. Who cares about balance anyways? XD
Possibly those Allies Power Plant are something you need to capture to deactivate the Prism Tower? Westwood might once thought of having the Allied Engineers captured and are being force to do a research for them.
There're may ways to complete this mission. 1. Use SEAL go to bottom of map to destroy their Power Plant and renforcement will arrive (SEAL + Engineer) to captue Prime Tower. 2. Rescue prisions and do like video. 3. Funny way: Only use Nighthawk Transporter to destroy their units and buidings (avoid air defense). When fully promoted Nighthawk is OP. If they out of money and there are no unit to protect building, they will order guards at prison to leave. One secret: prisons be long to enemy before rescued. I played this mission with my mod which GI can fire extra range Coil Bolt (Tesla Tank). GIs killed my SEAL before they landing.
@@babulapiderazi1924 That tank wasn't as good as the Tiger and the Panther, though. Plus, we're referring to the Third World War of the Red Alert/Tiberium universe, not the Second World War of the real world.
A much shorter and sweeter mission than the next ones, in this one you get to run around blowing stuff up while pretending to be "stealthy". Nothing screams more like stealth than a Mayan ruin wiping out half of the enemy base in 3 seconds. It's odd that the end message says that the Soviet soldiers named you "Ghost", you would think that a more appropriate nickname would be "Zeus". Oh, and instead of entering the base through that spot with the barrels, you can also use the Grizzly tanks to make a hole somewhere in the walls, or if you want the safest approach, there is a beach on southern side of the map which leads right up to the Ore fields that the Soviets are mining. You only have to dodge a couple of War Miners to get into the base, and since they don't follow you that is arguably the best way to get into the base (though also the most time consuming).
"The Ghost" is appropriate for now; "Zeus" will come when lightning strikes the Communist capital because of God punishing them for their worthless existence and crimes!
Ghost because they didn't expect to lose their hidden Mexican outpost and research center in like 15 minutes to a guy out of nowhere with a handful of SEALs under his command :)
