    I'm glad we are finally trying something new. My expectations for next year is just to see something new and positive. Similar to our first year in league 1. I know everyone wants promotion but it's most important that we try build something different and back these guys. They know what they are doing! PUP (as a fan I want Eisa but yeah) in cowleys we trust! Once again respect to Mark for everything he did for the club, I can only hope our next CEO respects his legacy as he builds our new future and hopefully leads us up the divisions. PUP! New season, new manager, new CEO, new-look Pompey! hard not to be excited :)

    The worrying part is that defensively we were horrendous last season. Of the centre backs we have four; Jack Whatmough, Rasmus Nicolaisen, Sean Raggett and Paul Downing. Whatmough is over rated, has poor discipline and is at best a back-up. We should be aiming higher. Nicolaisen is out of his depth and needs to go back. I believe that Whatmough is one of the players in negotiations which means we're obviously trying to regain his services, I'd let go. That leaves Downing and Raggett, both with another year on their contracts and both have levels akin to bottom League One / Top of League Two, they're simply not good enough for our aspirations of getting us out of this league. So chances are we're going to be looking at a defence that returns 3 of 4 centre backs minus Craig MacGillivray, hardly the building foundations of title charge. Here's to hoping we find another Matt Clarke.

    • @user-jq7di9pz8m
      @user-jq7di9pz8m 3 года назад +2

      Agree with all youve said there apart from about Jack Whatmough, I think he's our best defender, yeah his discipline last season wasn't great but he really is a quality defender, other than that we need a whole new defence

    The Cowleys are much better at communicating and definitely show a lot more passion than Jackett ever did. I'd be happy to see the back of a lot of this stale playing squad as well. It'd be great to see a team that doesn't make me want to swear at them for their lack of effort.

    I am very pleased to have this guy as our manager now at Pompey. He gives a good interview and conducts himself well. I was getting tired of hearing the repeated "but similarly" phrase from KJ week in week out. I think it's hard not to be excited for next season once DC has built a team of good quality players who can compete against the top teams in the league and really give us that big push for promotion. I believe Craig Macgillivray is close to leaving Pompey. I really do hope not. Craig Macgillivray is one we must keep here for next season. He is a quality keeper. Very excited for the new season ahead. Can't wait to get back to Fratton Park and cheer Danny and his own team of players onto the pitch. Up the blues! 🔵⚪🔵

    Truth is there is no real money , football money , we have good owners but again billionaires who don't like spending it, you have to speculate to accumulate in football there is always risks, we have a handful of players that cut it, the others are very mediocre at best. We are doing nothing for quite a while.
