    I so much enjoyed your presentation, as your garden is lovely and your voice conducive to a most pleasant experience. Some female narrators of garden podcasts can be either too tinny or high pitched and therefore abrasive, but thankfully you are far from being so, and your expertise in knowing the formal names of each plant is so helpful. I enjoyed no end the way you've arranged your pathways and your rationale for placement of garden figures, as I'm planning a future set of gardens for myself and your motivation for the situation of statues is spot on. Thank you very much, and God Bless all your future endeavours. 💜🕯🙏🏻

      Thank you! I appreciate your kind feedback ☺️. I'm so glad you enjoyed this tour as it was one of my first videos. I've learned that I have a slow cadence to my speech and low pitch to my voice; some people appreciate it, others not so. But, a garden stroll should be slow and easy going. A future "set of gardens" sounds like a big, but oh-so-much-fun project! Enjoy! 🌹🌿🌺

    Roseanne I just found your videos. I LOVE THEM!! I just moved to Spokane Wa. and my husband and I have been talking about what we want in our garden. We are downsizing and want to do it just right. You remind me of my sister who is a Master Gardener in Durahm N.C. She was in a super bad car accident a few months ago and I know is itching to get back in her garden. I shared with her your site and I know she will love it too. I'm taking notes on all your great advice and plant names.
    I Love your home too and can it's as lovely as your garden. If you ever take videos of it I would be tickled pink. Thanks so much for your wonderful job of making first rate videos. Hope you do many more. Oh, I missed Spokane's Garden tours but your videos are like one. WONDERFUL!!!

    Love this tour. Very inspiring. Love your husbands turtle. And enjoyed the rabbits. My favorite is definitely the many flowering plants that just pull you along the path! If you had early pictures of that area, to see how it had evolved...it will be helpful, as so many people just want what you showed immediately. A bit of history shows it takes time and patience to have a filled out luscious garden space. 😍😍😍

    Thank you for showing us around your garden. It’s a beautiful garden. I love everything about it including the lovely stepping stone path. I have lots of roses in my garden but I’ve never had those Japanese beetles you mentioned. I don’t think we have them in the UK. We do however have Lilly beetles which are bright red. I had lilies for several years and they filled my garden with fragrance when they bloomed but I dug them all up due to these beetles completely ruining them.
    On another note I have a beautiful climbing rose called Zephirine Drouin. It’s very fragrant and flowers all summer and it’s still got some flowers on it now (end October 2019), but a big plus is it’s completely thornless so perfect for an area where people are walking by. You can buy it from David Austen Roses. It’s almost the same pink as your climbing rose which I must say looks gorgeous.

    • @RosannesGarden
      @RosannesGarden  5 лет назад

      Thank you! I love the Zephirine Drouin rose, - it's a beauty. Because it is listed as hardy to USDA Zone 5, it might struggle where I live (USDA Zone 4). Our winters are super harsh (temperatures can go as low as -29 degrees to -34 degrees Celcius). Fortunately, my climber, William Baffin, was bred in Canada and seems to be OK with our winters. Yay.
      Too bad about the Lilly beetle! I am not aware that we have them here (for now.)
      I had the great pleasure of visiting your fine country early this summer to see gardens. Digitalis were everywhere and so gorgeous. When I came home I promptly bought and planted a few plants. I enjoyed them for most of the summer.

    • @janheard3826
      @janheard3826 5 лет назад

      Rosannes Garden Hi Roseanne, thank you for taking the time to reply. I can’t believe how cold your winters can get. Not sure I could cope with that! We don’t generally get any lower than minus 5 Celsius in the winter in southern England. Yes I love digitalis too and usually plant some every year although I haven’t been very successful with them naturalising in my garden. I have also been to your fine country many times - California, Florida, Texas, Nevada, Michigan, New Jersey, Washington, Arizona and our son works in New York so we visit him there every year en route to wherever we are going. Best wishes, Jan

    I Did enjoy your garden tour. It’s sweet and thoughtful and beautifully designed. My growing conditions are similar here in NE Ohio but alas we battle hungry deer so unless we fence in our hostas and roses and many other favorites we cannot grow them successfully. Your garden reminds me of my past gardens before deer overtook our neighborhood. Thank you.

      Ohh, thank you! I'm so glad you enjoyed the garden tour! Bummer about the deer. We have many rabbits, so I can sort of sympathize. Deer are in a whole different league as far as "overnight damage." The only real deterrent is fencing. Sigh. Greetings to NE Ohio! 🌹
