Good upload. For information, at 5:00 , a pulsing rotor has nothing to do with ABS being fitted to the bike unless it's actually activating because the wheel is locking under excessive braking. Under normal braking there should be no pulsing or oscillation at all. My rotors pulsed through two warranty replacement sets of discs until I found the actual wheel was out of true at the manufacture stage. Cheers.
Great advice! Thanks for sharing this. I really wish electric motorcycles would give us the battery state of health like cars do, just to know how much degradation has happened.
Good advice! The dealer support is pretty important. One other thing to check is unusual noise coming from the motor that might indicate bearing wear. Zeros do have a whine when running, but if it's unusually loud or if you see fluid coming from the front pulley, that might be an indication of a seal or bearing issue. Also my 2022 SR/S only came with a Level 1 charging cord. It's not an issue for me since I have Level 2 chargers in my garage anyway, but you might want to check whether the new bikes actually come with a Level 2 capable cord.
@@EVRider I just got a standard Level 1 box that's enormously oversized for a motorcycle. I don't even remember the brand since I gave it away to a needy person with a PHEV whose Level 1 charger had given up the ghost. I carry Tesla UMC with Tesla Tap Mini like Scott Harkless ( @emotodesign4714 ) does. Check with your local dealer. The Turbocord wouldn't be that great either since the SR/S Premium has a 6.6 KW onboard charger and the TurboCord only goes up the 3.6 KW...at least the one I have for my daughter's Gen 1 Chevy Volt.
@@karlbloss Just to confirm, it came from the Zero factory without a Turbocord or did maybe the dealer swap in a different one? Mine had the Turbocord bundled into the storage box. I might have to head over to my Zero dealer (ah, darn) to see what the new ones are coming with.
@@EVRider The dealer just had the Level 1 cord in the "tank" storage compartment at delivery. They might have swapped it. I'm not really upset because I likely wouldn't have used it anyway, but it would be interesting to know. Maybe the folks in the FB Zero forum that got new 2023 bikes (like the DSR/X) might have some insights. Mine was delivered in Spring 2022.
Hi Craig, Thanks for the heads up! I've reached out to Zero to confirm all base models did indeed include OEM cruise back then. As soon as I get confirmation I'll cut that part out & issue a correction in the web version of the story.
Hey Craig, I just want to say thanks again! Zero just confirmed for me that cruise has been included since day one. The video has been updated (it's re-rendering as this is written) and a correction has been issued in the web version: evrider.tv/zero-motorcycles-sr-f-sr-s-buyers-guide/

Thanks for the brake clarification note. I'm sure viewers will find it useful and I'm glad to hear you were able to get your wheel sorted.

Karl, Oh wow. I didn't know Zero dropped the L1/L2 turbocord. What did Zero switch to?

Superb! One of the most helpful reviews and guides for the Zero. Thank you!
Thank you!
I own a 2020 base sr/f with cruise control.
