When I was brand new to the 3x3, I had taken apart my Rubik’s cube to lube it and I messed up on a corner piece. I tried solving that for hours until I realized what I did lol
I magnatized my GAN RSC, It was really fun and still has a fun bubbly smooth feel but then I got a 356X which is still my main.
More companies should make cubes with tiles 💯

Yeah, I prefer the tiles. I find myself gravitating back to my V2 and RSC(though it's a Gan) versus my other cubes.
Personally I like the tiles more. I like the look of cubes with stickers but since I’m a fingerstyle guitarist my nails take them off pretty easy.

I actually magnetized the Gan/Rubik's collaboration. It turned out okay, but the magnets are probably a little too strong, mostly because the cube wasn't that great to begin with...haha. No regrets though.

Since most dollar store cubes are modeled after a very old model and often cheaper plastic or would be more worth it to get a Rubik's Brand.

Logos can peel off or rub off easily

Hey Shawn, just a quick question. I'm looking for tiled puzzles specifically and am wondering which you would recommend over the other, this Rubik's Magnetic Speed Cube or the Yuxin Kylin V2M?
KyLin is smother and quieter. I also prefer the turning of it.

@Aaron, The solve in the beginning of the video wasn't a speed solve and was from looking behind the camera. Both Roux and CFOP solves are getting faster as they benefit each other.

Do you ever use this cube or is this just unboxing.From 1-3 how strong are the magnets. 1 is the weakest 2 is average magnets and 3 is the strongest.Does it feel anything like the rubik’s connected to you?From what I see I think this cube has a very cool core but I know the core does not mater.To me it looks like a really looks like a great cube.Why do you pause so much on your cfop solves but your roux solves are so good?Thank you for being the only one who answers my comments.
I use this puzzle quite often, but will use other puzzles more as newer ones are released constantly. It is absolutely nothing nothin glike the Rubik's connected. The Connected is like a GoCube. Often my pauses are not very much in CFOP and more often I have zero pauses in the first 2 layers for CFOP. The few solves in this video are not the average for me as I have to look from behind a camera.
What about you make a comparison video on all of the rubik’s speed cubes.

I've been looking on thecubicle.com. Been familiarizing myself with the brands incl GAN, MoYu, QiYi, etc., different lubes (core, piece, ring), and magnets, compression, tension... so much to learn! I had no idea until now it was so involved! And here I was just thinking of buying a $20 Rubik speed cube lol... Now I'm thinkin, "Hmmmm..."

my theory: rubik's change a little bit of the rubik's X gan collaboration speed cube (rsc) and added magnets.
correction: rubik's also redesign the way the pieces can be seperated to see the magnets
It's kinda funny tho. The original makers of the cube copied the design of other speedcubes

I have a video on each of the newer QiYi Cuboids. Many of the shape mods are the same thing that I have seen just from different companies. I'll keep a look out for some new things.

SpeedCubeReview yeah but make it look more like a modern speed cube. Maybe you could do a mod where you sand down the corners and centers to make them more rounded
why cant they just use the Rubik's smart cube and remove the smart cube parts and make it a speed cube

Ya, competing like that is unnecessary. We are both cubers and both have our own times. My current average is about 1/3 what his is anyway. It would not make sense.
