SleepingDog NO the Sentra is in its OWN league, my civic was in the shop and I got a Sentra rental and holy fucking shit it was awful. TRUST me do NOT compare the Sentra to this
I’ve been going through a lot with my car and I need a reliable, dependable, good quality car like this one. I love to be blessed with one of these car.
I am a big truck/SUV guy but thought it’s time to get a smaller vehicle for daily driving and road trips and keep my current truck as a truck since it already has the bumps and bruises. I have been hitting the reviews on the Civic Sport Touring Hatchback and your review and walk around popped up. Best and most informative, persuasive review on the vehicle I have seen.
james Gand it depends. The feature and quality difference to take into account. I wouldn’t mind a higher tier Hyundai or Honda over a bare bones bmw for example because I prefer comfort over handling and speed.
The civic is an excellent car, I've always loved it but I'm just concerned considering being a turbo charged. I'm not a fun of turbo charged engines and I'm worried about it's reliability.
Hi there! Thank you! We will pass along your kind words to Justin. Thank you for the recommendation, we will definitely keep that in mind. Have you checked out our 2019 Honda Ridgeline video? bit.ly/2Si4TWa
So everything is the same from the 2019 version, just the outside looks different. The front looks kinda weird but I like what they did with the back for sure, way better than the 2019 version.
Hi! All trims have MacPherson Strut Front Suspension and Multi-Link Rear Suspension. You can find more details here hondanews.com/en-US/honda-automobiles/releases/release-abdd33728c044217ba85db3c233b2483-2020-civic-hatchback-specifications-features
I don’t like all the driving assist features and insurance companies don’t even give you a discount for it. All these assist features are for people that can’t drive, the only one that needed is anti-skid. What happened to when you get tired, pull over and rest. I have a 2019 accord which I like but wish I could turn it completely off including the active cruise control that breaks way too far away.
I had a 2017 Sport Coupe like this one and and I notice he forgot to mention that the car takes premium gas. Didn't like that feature. I traded it in on a 2018 HR-V. Bigger and better and I can still drive my 2000 Prelude in the summer and only use premium for 6 months, not 12.
I was browsing my local Honda dealer's website and all they are selling are the CVT models- do I have to special order if I want a manual 6 speed? What kind of payments would someone be looking at with a new car like this? I have a 2012 civic hybrid, love it, looking to trade my Ford Focus hatch in the next year or two. With the price of used late model vehicles, I could just as easily buy one of these and have a great car that will last me years and years. I had a 93' civic hatchback back in the day- LOVED that car and it pained me to sell it- it had close to 400K miles on it when I sold it to a high school kid, haha.
3 So which car will reach higher miles: Civic LX hatchback CVT or Corolla SE hatchback CVT? ( me cheapskate; preparing for upcoming economic depression)
Oskar Ngo I think Toyota but also keep in mind I believe these two models have different tank capacities. In the little research I’ve done, I’ve read that Toyota will get you slightly better fuel economy. I could be wrong, though.
I noticed that this car has the same distortion across the bottom of the windshield. I can’t figure out what the reason for it is. I’ve been told it’s probably because of the curved glass.
I honestly prefer the fake vents. I mean, the new models front looks worse and less sporty. And why do people hate turbos? I love them and take more care of the turbocharged engine.
Arkalys [GM] over 700km with a full tank? Love that. I’m currently getting about 450-500km per tank with my Nissan Versa note (yes, I know, why do you think I’m watching a Honda review ;’D)
I like the Civic but why don’t they make a Civic Hybrid anymore? I thought I wanted a new Insight until I drove one. After having a Sebring and a Cavalier for the past 6 years the slightly smaller Civic, with the gear shifter in the middle just felt better. I don’t care for the buttons. I also want a hatchback, but I still want a hybrid. I haven’t seen any new Civic hybrids, so I can’t make up my mind. I love the look of the Insight but I still want a hatchback and a gear shifter in the center. I am stuck making a decision!
Joseph Bautista Thanks, for your info. However, I really like the Honda Sensing feature too, which actually caused me to consider buying a new car in the first place, as my husband tends to get distracted off to the side of the road and it scares me.
Does CVT also jerk in heavy traffic jams ? I mean, drive 3 meters, stop, drive, stop etc etc. My rented Ceed 2019 with 7DCT drove me crazy because of that, so I returned it quickly.
That’s not how Lkas works at all. You have one system that will vibrate and tilt back into lane if you start drifting. Lkas will keep you centered within the lane with no assistance. You’re literally not driving the car until it tells you to startle the steering wheel. Not to say don’t pay attention when driving but hell, Figure it out man.
Guinness I’ve owned one for three years now there is no issue with room for your back seat passengers the civic has ample room for both front and rear occupants not to mention all the room in the hatchback area more than you will need ,I have a black one and just left a Lexus dealership and all the salesmen came out to look at my shiny black civic with tinted window and window rain guards ,the car looks great ,has plenty of room and can almost drive itself with the Honda sensing .The only bad thing I’m experiencing is there is a lot of road noise on some roads, and I wish it had a lane warning light on the left side ,very easy to drive and fun as well
Thanks for the reply Robert. Great to know the rear space isn't an issue. Im seriously considering a 2020 sport touring in manual. I love the look of the hatchbacks
Thanks for the reply Robert. Great to know the rear space isn't an issue. Im seriously considering a black on black 2020 sport touring in manual. I love the look of the hatchbacks
Great question! Touring is a name used by Honda to help distinguish the different trim level. Trim levels identify a vehicle by a set of special features added to the entry-level base model.
I like the way these look, but all the retard proof safety features I could live without. That lane assist camera is great or you could just look in the fucking side mirrors!!!
That's an impressive car, and the CVT engine sounds great.
We're certainly impressed!
Thanks for tuning in Kyrie!
CVT is the worst, my sister had a Nissan Sentra and the CVT transmission gave me ligma
SleepingDog NO the Sentra is in its OWN league, my civic was in the shop and I got a Sentra rental and holy fucking shit it was awful. TRUST me do NOT compare the Sentra to this
Its not a CVT engine - CVT is the transmission and it cant be heard SMH
I’ve been going through a lot with my car and I need a reliable, dependable, good quality car like this one. I love to be blessed with one of these car.
I really like the facelift Honda gave the hatchback for 2020. It's a sharp looking car, but best of all, it's a Honda.
Amazing car that is. I just bought the EU version (Sport+) and it's a decision I'm extremely happy with.
One of the best reviews I’ve seen. Great job.
Very excellent and beautiful vehicle. Just over 10k miles in and no problems whatsoever.
We're glad you like it just as much as we do!
you just sold the car to me... I think a lot of reviews should be done like this! very thorough and detailed!

My favorite civic I have had so far!! It’s my third one!!
Fun fact not Civic related
2018+ Honda Accord Touring you can lock the keys in the car if you have the auto lock feature enabled
I doubt that. Only if the batteries in the key fob is dead and it stops transmitting
One of the best review. Thank you very much.
Thank you!
This video begs the question, would you buy a cheap version of luxury car or an expensive version of an economy car?
james Gand it depends. The feature and quality difference to take into account. I wouldn’t mind a higher tier Hyundai or Honda over a bare bones bmw for example because I prefer comfort over handling and speed.
Excited this trim now comes with the manual transmission
Great job with this video 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
i kinda have been drooling over the new hatchback civics! If i could ever afford one it would have to be in a manual transmission!
We love them too!

This is going to be my next car
Great review video! Any idea is this car has some type of sport suspension or dynamic dampers?

really? Thought it could run on regular
Dhruva Kumar Because it can. Honda Dude just cannot read. If he would read his Civic’s manuel, it would state premium gas “recommended,” NOT required.
TheOfficialGorms It’s supposed to. Premium is for that extra HP and turbo usage.
TheOfficialGorms Didn’t I said you have to. I just said it supposed to run well even on regular gas.

Truly loveable

Is the sport and leather seat combination exclusive to America? I don't seem to be able to configure it in Switzerland.

You did a great job pointing out a lot of little things this car has just wish you mentioned the amount of torque
Robert Graham 177lb torque my friend
Hey Robert! Thanks for taking the time to leave us this helpful feedback to improve. Stay tuned for the next video
nestor maqueda I just read that it’s got 162 lbs of torque, I’ll keep looking
Robert Graham interesting.. i’ll look too
CVT has 162lbs of torque while manual gets you 177 lbs of torque, never knew that, good to know
why do the system have apple and i have seen other one don’t have it
Love the front of the car. However I’ll wait for the next Civic generation
Does the SI get better fuel mileage than this Sport Touring model?
This is Tom Hardy's job before he became Venom.
I’ve been stuck between the SI and the sport touring… is it just me .. or the Sport Touring is just eye candy compared to the Si
good video

Definitely not, Honda CVT is smooth as hell it’s designed for traffic and city driving.
You guys know if oil dilution is still s problem?
It is not! That was a problem for the 2017-2018 CR-V's that Honda has since fixed 🤗
