Combine Staves - Sibelius

- How to combine multiple instruments into one stave using Sibelius. This technique is useful when working with larger ensembles and orchestral scores. We can select the staves we want to combine, click on reduce under the note input tab, and choose whether to use the existing stave as the destination or create a new one. However, we need to consider what to do with the parts. One option is to create two separate Sibelius files for the score and parts, while the other option is to create an additional stave per instrument group and hide the individual staves in the score, but keep them visible in the parts. Both options have their pros and cons, and as an engraver, we need to make compromises to find the most appropriate way to notate the same thing.

Very nice tutorial. Works great even in sib. 6!
Very very useful and straightforward contents, I hope to see your channel grows, as it deserves.
Thank you so much for this video
Great lesson! It seemed Best just to have 2 Voices (Fl 1 & Fl 2) in one staff/stave.
Super, thanks!
Another way of hiding individual parts on the full score is by deselecting them in the Focus in Staves in the Layout menu
Is there a way to do something like this where the grouped staff updates to edits on the individual staffs?
Essentially I want to have a fixed ostinato on one staff and changing melody on the other🤔
How did you select in one click all the lower notes when you wanted to do separate voices? Thanks (I am still clicking one by one and in a huge orchestral score it would be neverending)
ctrl alt shift B. I've got a video on this too: ruclips.net/video/CGkvEwXmd1g/видео.html&ab_channel=ScoreCircuit
