when he started crying it was as if he just saw a family member alive after he thought that family member died in a war long ago. you rarely see a man cry over something, his compassion for tigers is really a sight to see.
Yes that passion for tigers is so compelling. He's definitely living his dream job. I'd love to be doing that! Especially he's contributing to new scientific findings, how cool is that!!
I hope we get more updates on this and maybe even a mini series captivating their existence. I wonder if any more tigers could be introduced to this region or just laws being created to protect what's already living here.
I agree that we should get more updates on this, so we can know if they find cubs, or if the pair breeds because of the current state of the tiger population.
This is exciting to watch. I can’t imagine the joy of watching that tiger in that height. The excitement and emotion is priceless. Thank you, thank you for sharing! Sharing the emotion and knowledge I gain from this channel is also priceless! 😊😍
Above 4000 m is roughly 13150 ft. In CA, that is way above the timberline. It is amazing the high Himalayas still have many trees and vegetation at this elevation.
Well having been there many times I can say above 4000m things start changing quite a bit. Below that the Himalayas are lush green dense forests, however as you can see here it’s mostly small trees, shrubs etc. More Higher up it pretty much becomes barren.
@@adr2567 I wonder if it is less atm or too cold. Plants in general don't do well up there. If we have plants that can thrive in that kind of environment, maybe they can survive on Mars.

No way! Amazing and beautiful to see. Really hope we can do much better on reversing habitat destruction and creating huge animal corridors in the future. And thank you BBC for all your amazing work. You spearhead these causes at your own expense for the world.

Although this is too intriguing to watch but I can only imagine what would happen if a tiger happens to come in front of the presenter as he is literally present in a tiger territory.
that high up for tigers. most times they live much lower below the above mountains. where normally only snow leopards were found living in the higher areas. less so for tigers so, this was truly unusual and interesting too
A very interesting and moving story. Nature is just amazing and tigers are majestic big cats. Thanks for sharing. Love it. Greetings from Asturias (Spain)

I can understand his desperation. In Nature Resources, we understand that animals have a very wide territories but to prevent or limit development, you have to prove it. Very difficult the more solitary the creature. If you cant prove it, potential or current habitats are replaced with development. That's why trail cameras are very vital to biology and research. If you see a camera, please leave it alone, document it location, and call a ranger if you are unsure if its legit. They will check the model number and call around to make sure if it's from a school, a research team, or someone who isnt authorized.
