I can’t believe no one is talking about the monkeys showing deep group empathy! It’s a great reminder for both the intelligence of animals and that, despite our desire to see ourselves as entirely separate from animals, our grasp of emotion is a very natural thing that shouldn’t be forgotten amongst the humdrum of our modern day society.
Hell nah. Them monkeys were like look at this fake shit. Then they were like who would stuff an animal like this hugging each other cause they're so freaked out by a fake ass monkey.
well. their intelligence is so low, they couldnt figure out it was just a spy monkey. yes animals show empathy. but they cant develop cars, computers and software.
Those monkeys weren't just empathetic, they practically had monkey PTSD over the dead camera baby. Not one monkey soul was untouched by grief
That bird being able to make those sounds is entirely INCREDIBLE! nature is so freaking awesome!!
Sounds like R2D2 right haha
Yeah that is crazy 😧 how does it do that!!
Yes and sad. The birds hear it so much it thinks is just normal by now.
@@macb3741 Well of course, as they only adapt to their environment...whatever how it changes, they'll find a way to get new tricks (until it kills them, obviously)...
The sound of camera that they produce , would not be believed to have come from nothing…but people easily believe these animals and entire universe came from nothing and by chance

Not gonna lie, I was traveling through Korea with a few friends when something in the subway made a loud BANG! and all the Americans in our group ducked for cover. The non-Americans were like, "Why'd you do that?" and the Americans said, "Sorry, it's just instinctive. Y'know, in case of a shooter?"
The hyenas just taking a massive bite like that and getting right back up and back to the hunt is terrifying. The comradery between the two males and showing gratitude for saving his life was heartwarming
same can be said about the hyena's, as soon as one was attacked by the lion the pack swarmed the lion to make sure he wouldnt continue attacking
@@jandv3539 True true but lions are way cuter haha.

The level of appreciation that lion shows his friend (brother?) at the end is absolutely amazing!
Is his brother
Travis Hirschfelt Male lions don’t have “Freinds” so it must be his brother (Or somehow related to him
It was fake!! cut and edited. The lion attacked by the hyenas was old and ill. Around 6 or 7 different videos cut and added together to make this. It's becoming a new trend these days. The same goes to the snakes and the Iguana. I heard stories about these documentary makers deliberately injure, weaken or kill animals and many other horrible things to make it more dramatic or interesting. These must be stopped.

Good stuff!
It’s was an adolescent male lion and it was still in little to no danger.

it is such a classic clip, absolutely worth watching more than once. so much appreciation for both the iguana and the snakes
It's adorable how the one lion gives the other lion a gratitude nuzzle for saving his life.
They were communicating too, low grumbles. Definitely thanking him. Absolutely awesome scene . Btw grown ass man here had a tear in his eye throughout that scene. It was awesome.
I could watch that part forever and never get tired of it. It's absolutely beautiful to see such majestic creatures sharing a bond like that. I love lions!!!🦁
The ending scene sort of bothers me. Neither of the two lion is the one that was surrounded by hyenas. You can clearly see that the lion being attacked is much older, skinnier, and its mane is darker. I think this scene was edited to present a happier ending than what perhaps may have ended occuring. Apologies for the buzzkill but I really dislike it when documentaries treat us as if we aren't old enough to know it's a jungle out there.
@@noblessus That is the same lion in the pack, you don’t think it looks the same because the area where they were shooting Red being surrounded was more shaded. But in the finals shot all the might’ve done was bump of the saturation or the lions just happened to walk into a brighter patch of land.

The last clip was heartwarming. Those hyenas looked like they were mocking the lion by laughing at him and playing around, not attacking immediately but teasing him and making him feel the terror and horror before it actually coming down at him. The way that other lion came and hushed them away and consoled him and they both just kinda hugged and layed there feeling grateful for each other🤍
For us humans they may sound like they're laughing and mocking the lion but they're actually dead serious about killing that lion. Those sounds are not laughing sounds, those are their means of communication. Not only he was a threat that invaded their space, he was also big enough to feed the whole pack if they managed to kill him. Their bite strength is insane but they're still individually weaker than lions, hence they used their number to tire him down. They only truly attacked if one of their own was bitten by the lion to save their comrade.
The pair of lion brothers was really touching that I teared up, but when I think about it hyenas are actually amazing as well. I'm really sad now because I read in the comment here that the lions were reported to be missing last year and presumed dead, idk the cause but perhaps they failed to claim their own pride.
Hyenas get a bad rap because they don’t look majestic like lions and people don’t like their “laugh” but they are just trying to survive like everything else. I think hyenas are amazing animals
Nature is beautiful we all know but Can we praise for them who filmed these amazing videos and how much effort they took too filming this

Wildlife on One was my favourite Nature show when i was a kid.
I vividly remember three episodes particularly well.
The first one was where a massive heard of Wilderbeast were migrating with over One Million in number, but they had to cross a Crocodile infested river, truly spectacular filmmaking.
Something like 28 Million people tuned in to watch that episode.
The second episode showed a Tiger that killed a Leopard, this was apparently the first time anyone had captured a Tiger killing another Big Cat on camera at that time.
Though this was a long time ago, but i never forgot it.
The third episode concerned King Cobras.
One King Cobra was fighting a Mongoose, another was fighting a Monitor Lizard.
Remarkable stuff indeed.

Great example from the nature itself, it's good when you are not alone, when you have someone who can help you.
That bird that imitates sounds is amazing.
that spy monkey just traumatized a whole group of monkeys
ikr, their grief was so sad :(. But they will get through it in time
The more I see the spy animals the more I hate them
Anthony Kuykendall
Same. It just fools the animals. What if the babies think they are safe by an adult, but actually the adult is a spy and cant do anything to protect them?
@@ParakeetWorld whats gained from them is much greater than the tiny, tiny amount of harm being caused.
@@ParakeetWorld The exposure that the footage gives the bbc does more to protect any of these animals than the harm caused getting the footage. Humans are the biggest threats to many of the animals
Me, Listening to the Liar Bird: That’s pretty cool!
Narrator: And now, workers in the forest with chainsaws.
Me: Excuse me what-?
Bird: *Chainsaw Noises*
It's not liar, it's lyre.
Wtf
that was crazy af
😂😂😂
Imagine being in some forest and you hear chainsaw noises around the corner
the lion clip makes me so emotional. it's such a wholesome ending
This is the first time ever i have seen this type of documentary.
Nature js truely beautiful
The mantis had the best character development and they just killed him off like that. 😩
Felt like a walking dead episode
poor mantis
@@mckafi6686 nah, more of a game of thrones episode. Living long enough to know that nobody is safe.
😅😅
That's what makes the death more impactful and tragic. Great writing, Mother Nature.
28:25 when his homie pulled up I swear I shed a tear
Dynasties is a really good BBC documentary. It and Blue Planet 1 are my two favorites.
Am here for this part. 😭
LMAOOOOO

I’m so here for Red and Tatu! The bonding between big cats is so heartwarming to watch 🥹
salute and big respect to those who capturing this
The effort that goes into the filming, capturing every angle is mind bogling. Amazed at how they do they actually do it.
Yea it is pretty insane. The amount of time it takes to get some of the footage is just crazy. Huge props to the guys who film this and wait for so long to get the footage.
But many say it's fake
@@mlogical4099 Nah not really. I read that once a filming crew waited like 3 months just to see a special species of a bird do a mating dance. And to get those background shots where the sun sets in like the best way possible, they have to wait a long time as well. There's just so much patience put into this that when we see it and its all edited, we think its fake cuz it looks to good.
You sitting there filming and a penguin come up mad as hell
Expensive equipment brother probably 🤷
