Well he gave it a 9.5…. Also measurements weren’t digitally verified. Should be using felt gloves, digital calipers and a dial indicator. This is so unprofessional. It really seems as though they have part time graders who whip out the “grading equipment” in between warhammer matches…. Grody….
If you mean callipers, metal callipers could nick or scratch cards, photographic measuring machines are costly and a transparent clear ruler will be accurate enough, deducting on centring to microscopic imperfections is the grading equivalent of semantics. it's going to slow down the grading process and realistically it won't matter that much
wearing gloves can be worse in some cases since they dont know how much pressure they're putting on the card, and if you wash your hands before touching this stuff you won't get oil or fingerprint transfer
Wouldn’t it help to measure against the original printing plate specs. I mean if your going to grade placement and offset… Maybe should know info like offsets plate changes otherwise your evaluations are against what? Conjecture/perception…. This is super messy.. really just a nerd racket..
Makes me appreciate even more that my card got a 10 wow. Nice to see the grading process in action
60/40 8.5 centering (card can't be above a 9) Psa: gives it a 10 anyways

They graded my 89 Donruss Griffey 9.5 on all and surface 8.5. I see nothing wrong with the surface! I guess they won't give 10's for that card 😏
I have a graded card from y’all but it doesn’t have the results for stuff like corners and surface.
Whoever graded it chose the option to have No Subgrades.
0:23 Darn I cringed so hard when the ruler is scooted around the card. It must've gotten some scratches on the surface from doing that.
Hey you know they have digital measuring means… on account that it’s 2024….

Did anyone think to wear gloves? You know for the oils and lingering abrasives on your hands.
