Making a lot of good points, when I was picking out my first printer I had to decide between either 1 single 599 printer ( the adventure 5M pro ) or 2 Voxelab Aries at only 249.99, I picked the two over 1 just for more print time vs a single print at a time, definitely should’ve saved more and gotten a bamboo printer from the start, but still loving my Aries, they aren’t half bad starter printers

Voxelab doesn’t get enough attention. I had an Aquila for a while, decent printer. Basically an ender 3v2 for cheaper.
2 3d printers will always be faster than 1 :)

I bought two Adventure 5M (non-pro) for ~299 EUR (and I think it's selling for 279 on Amazon US). Considering that price, I guess it will be good enough. That is not my first machine, I already had Tiertime UpBox+ (terrible!) and I have one Prusa MK3S. Currently, Creality K1 is getting cheaper (~400 EUR). BambuLab A1 Mini is ~329EUR and P1P is 669EUR, for reference. I don't have any BambuLab printer, but I have a felling that it's somewhat "oversold". The AMS is only really selling-point.

Thank you for the video, it has been very helpful! Love the idea of saving for a better machine, but my price point is set at 500$ by my wife. So that is all I have to spend on the machine. I'll have an extra 200$ for filament and peripherals that I'll have to ask forgiveness for later. All things considered what is the best value for the buck in FDM machines, for a complete beginner, in yalls opinion?

Great question! What are you primarily interested in making?

@@remthompson Mostly PLA projects for stuff around the house like holders and carriers. I have a few things that could use a new casing around them. I would like to make some pulleys as well. They'll probably hold 100lb or so. The biggest reason I want a printer is to learn how to implement the CAD and CAM software into a real world thing. It just seems very interesting to me. I'm not looking to sell stuff, really, but what I do make, I want to be durable and a decent product. If any of that makes sense.

@@olnewbie3556 depending on how big of print volume you’re interested in, I really love my a1 mini. It’s a bit small but for under your budget you can get it, with the AMS multi color unit. Leaving you with more filament budget :D
Alternatively you can check out the SV06/Plus. They’re on a great deal right now. I love my plus! amzn.to/3IlOomN

@@remthompson You're Awesome! Thank you for helping me out. I jumped into a Discord group as well and they're telling me to get the SV06 Plus as well. I think that is going to be the way to go.

@@olnewbie3556 it’s a great value. Consider getting the klipper screen for it too!

Thomas there’s not a lot to go off of with this comment, it’s very hard to determine what might be the issue here my best recommendation for troubleshooting specific machines would be to check out Reddit and other places where you can find specific resources for your machines.
The Neptune 4 Max is a solid machine from what I’ve heard, but there’s not a lot to go off here

Pro tip you can skip this entire video and let random strangers on the Internet bully you into making your choices.
