A lovely man and a great great drummer. We both met John Henry Bonham (his hero) back in the seventies, as I was his wife then

Paul Thompson - still in my opinion the best drummer. You couldn’t miss his unique style. Thanks for the happiness you gave.

Just spotted this - great drummer. Great to him again during 50th anniversary tour.

TGPT indeed. Only met him the once at the recording of a TOTP special at the Riverside Studios, London. After their soundcheck there was no hiding in changing rooms for Paul, straight to the bar. His first words to me, "Do you reckon they sell sandwiches?"Such a grounded, lovely man.

This man (opposite to Ferry) never forgot where he came from and most of all... his native tongue.

hey have you checked out the film we are making on Roxy Music's original bassist Graham Simpson? Paul Thompson will feature in the film plus lots of other early line up surprises! x

I knew Paul from Perth Green school. I remember him playing on the Kit of Brian Luke (my class) Brian Luke was pretty dam good on the drums . Don't know if Brian might have been some sort of inspiration for him. Regardless Paul made a good career choice.
