RIP Mr Weller Snr, an inspiration and driving force for his son.
The Jam were an incredible band, a force of nature.
The right people, right time, right place, and of course the teenage Paul Weller to write some of the best songs ever.
    In my opinion.

Paul's dad's intros were a great touch & made those concerts even more special.

Gary Crowley used to be on the reception at the NME office in Carnaby Street. I used to go in there all the time to promote my band and he'd always say hello and be very friendly - he's full of life and is genuiney enthusiastic about music - not like most DJs

Mods! As a hippy, me, younger brother and my friends got chased by the fuckers regularly, usually twenty or thirty of them. Different story when the numbers were more even! Decked a good few of them then. Tossers!
